The main reason I'm underpowered here is because I'm a faith build.
Then you should see my stupidly overpowered faith build. After much pain and tears I finally got the third dragon ring on my lil' min soul level project WOO [thumb]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/432697227707758262/5E661B2B23FE6AD306DADCA4B9E25E837A28FBD1/[/thumb] time for some jolly cooperation
poison manslayer and spotted whip is pretty fun.
The main reason I'm underpowered here is because I'm a faith build.
Let's not hide behind the faith nerf. You can run strong faith builds, you need to pick the right stats and Gear. Paladin builds are common and useful for example.
poison manslayer and spotted whip is pretty fun.
I actually had a pretty fun Status build going, dumping into Dex and using Poison infused Claws and the Moth set. Seeing people panic from the poison before getting chunks taken out due to bleed made it awesome and the bleed helped against bosses where the Claws did little damage.
Out of all the DLC's iron king is my least favourite, I didn't like the way they spam you with enemies that tear you apart in 3-4 hits, plus the environment felt kinda boring. Fume knight and Sir Alonne were the only parts I really liked

My only struggle with Sir Alonne is that fucking rollercoaster with alonne knights all the way to his room.
My only struggle with Sir Alonne is that fucking rollercoaster with alonne knights all the way to his room.
I just cleared the whole area before attemping to beat him so I didn't have to fight fucking ninjas left and right
NG+3 at the moment, and I am struggling. Brume Tower has absolutely no mercy at this difficulty. I could parry these schmucks if I didn't aggro every single ashen warrior at once. My sneaky slumbering dragoncrest build doesn't get much use in here -- I wish the fog ring was a thing. I loved that damn thing.
you should invade tomb of the giants
Is it me or is ranking up in Blue Sentinels impossible? My blue eye orbs never find a world to invade, wearing the ring never seems to summon me to help anyone and farming tokens for blue duels takes way too long just for one duel. I just want my Wrath of Gods. :(
So Twitch Plays Dark souls managed to beat the asylum demon, and get to firelink http://www.twitch.tv/twitchplaysdark/v/11833562 [sp]It freezes a ton because they have some new system for Democracy where the game pauses for a bit for people to input commands before doing stuff. I dunno if you'd consider that cheating or not but they did it, that's for sure. Sorta wish it was more entertaining to watch though, the pausing can get annoying.[/sp]
Feels too much like cheating now, especially since it keeps freezing the game in constant intervals so people can decide what actions to take at that moment. But I guess it was inevitable because it'd be impossible for Twitch to play the game otherwise.

Sounds like the axe's shout Art is pretty much a direct copy of the Dragon Torso Stone's ability, albeit without the annoyingly huge stamina cost.
Especially when you use axe/hammer or bow. I hope we still can parry with bare hand.
'Sword Art' should be the unified term, as it already appears to be, then talking about 'hammer arts' and 'bow arts' when you want to be more specific
You know what would really suck? If parries were also Sword Arts. You'd basically have a limit to how many times you can parry. It'd be just like Bloodborne and it's stupid idea of limiting how many times you can parry with a bullet. I mean I GUESS it would stop all the parry spam and actually force the opponent to dodge around and strategically time their attacks and when to block and when to not.

And looks like small shields will have really shit defensive stats forcing you to parry/dodge instead of block. So I doubt they'll make limited parries.

After many deaths they managed to beat the Crestfallen by rolling off a cliff and he rolled after them. [editline]20th August 2015[/editline] It'll be fun to see where they are in the Burg in a few months.
'Sword Art' should be the unified term, as it already appears to be, then talking about 'hammer arts' and 'bow arts' when you want to be more specific
or maybe just "Battle Arts" which is what it was called in the first place.
or maybe just "Battle Arts" which is what it was called in the first place.
This is far more general and better than "sword arts" cause not all the arts are swords.
it's this kind of confusing crap that makes me wish fromsoft would just hire someone who knows some damn english for all this reveal stuff

I just want my Wrath of Gods. :(
It's basically guaranteed you won't get WOG in NG. I think most duels and invasions are more common in NG+. For using blue eye orbs, I use them 5-6 times in a row, right after another and if I don't get anything I wait a minute and do that again or I move to another area. Ring invasions are very rare because no one wants to stay in the WotB covenant 'cause they're pussies. FROM should have made it so that ring invasions can happen even with people who aren't in the covenant, but people with the WOTB just have a much higher chance to connect. Also if you're not using SOTFS you're pretty much guaranteed to get nothing, since PVP is really dried up in the standard version of the game. Because as a faith build I don't have a whole lot of offensive miracles and the ones I have do crap damage even with 45 faith and a fully upgraded preist's chime (although I just recently got the Dragon Chime so maybe that'll do a bit more). I have about 5 different healing spells and a couple buffs but with the cast time plus the limited amount of casts I have they don't really seem to be worth it. I have a fully upgraded Defender's greatsword that does decent damage and good damage with its built-in buff, but I just feel like all the miracles I have are useless and that I always wind up relying more on physical damage than the damage that actually comes from my faith. Which is weird because I have no problem whatsoever dishing out damage in PVP, most of my losses there seem to come from my shitty pvp skills, but once I step in to fight some NPCs I get my shit wrecked almost immediately

I know it has a horrible reputation because really it's a horrible miracle, but I'd suggest investing in Heavenly Thunder if you haven't already. If you get really lucky, you can 3-shot most players and NPC phantoms. Yes, I know, when you and I fought Sinh I cast Heavenly Thunder and missed him. Several times. Trust me, it can still be worth it.

Lightning spears are still goddamn useless though, and splintering lightning spear or w/e its called does okay damage but takes a fucking long time to cast.

Just drop them and go full paladin with support miracles and FTH infused weapons. Attack miracles were good back when we were able to nuke Darklurker on NG+ with 2 Sunlight Spears. Right now even 50 FTH WotG hits like a baby's fart.
