in all honesty, the only enemies that i have seen consistently attack out of the blue without any wind-up are the hollow infantry and hollow knights and if it isn't at random, it's always after you landed a hit on them that didnt kill
I think Heide knight is the worst

Sometimes they just seem to do damage, especially the ones that are controlling hollows.
I think Heide knight is the worst
I think he's alright with visual cues, but the one where he just instantly swipes right to left. That one's ridiculous.

The Llewellyn Horse Statues are also horrible about hitting you even after they've died somehow.

DaS1 has some of these enemies too, remember the torch hollows?
DaS1 has some of these enemies too, remember the torch hollows?
Oh certainly, Torch Hollows were a goddamned nightmare. Dark Souls 2 just has more of them.
One of the scariest moments for me when I first started playing DaS1 was when the axe(?) hollows right outside Firelink lunged from like 20 feet away from me. That and the hallway of buffed hallows right before the Bell Gargoyles.
Nevermind, figured it out. Devs left a way in to escape. Hopefully nabbing my fire zweihander now annnnd got it. Killed pinwheel because why not, and got a mask of the mother. Infinite sadness :v:
Yo I know I'm late but
they are really similar to each other even. hard hits that kill you and aoe damage that destroys you. both are very common in bosses. they are really similar to the firesage/stray demon but their attacks arent easy as fuck to calculate they all have thise "visual queue avoid this attack" shit going on that the demon bosses do
Kalameet has more than enough moves to make up for having an AoE attack, and I'm pretty sure Manus doesn't even have one. And I'm also pretty sure the two of them have the largest moveset pools in the game. Oh and literally every boss has visual queues on all of their attacks, since, yknow, all of them have to be possible to dodge.
I managed to get this sweet sketch of Alva and Zullie by artsywindow [t]http://i.imgur.com/9UPCyci.png[/t] I view Zullie as a taller and more powerful person.

The second fight might as well have been an auto clicker :v:

I would personally consider those AoE attacks.

I have no idea how to dodge the projectile attacks Manus does. I guess you can roll through them but for me it's near impossible to roll through the circle of hexes
I have no idea how to dodge the projectile attacks Manus does. I guess you can roll through them but for me it's near impossible to roll through the circle of hexes
Did you get the silver pendant from Oolacile Township?
tbh this is the first time I see this thing. Does it block dark magic or what?
Weird I could have sworn we played together one time against manus while you had perma gravelord + aggression on once and I used it :v: It makes an outward blast of spherical aoe like wrath of the gods that shoves dark magic away as well as leaving a short shield that deflects. It has infinite uses and can be spammed. It doesn't work so good against pursuers in pvp but if timed right it'll deflect dark bead as well as most other things pretty well. Demo at ~2:40 in video below
Weird I could have sworn we played together one time against manus while you had perma gravelord + aggression on once and I used it :v:
Green did a perma gravelord + aggression playthrough. I did only cosplay playthroughs (Havel, Leeroy, Catarina Knight, etc).
Green did a perma gravelord + aggression playthrough. I did only cosplay playthroughs (Havel, Leeroy, Catarina Knight, etc).
Ahhh right it was probably them. In other news, is it possible to do four kings as a SL11 in giantdad gear? I've got my SL11 build mostly complete and I've been trying to exclusively use the giantdad gear to play through with tiny cheats for O&S and the dickbow archers. For all intents and purposes I'm basically SL1, so I'm not sure how I'll hold up :v:
if you stay sl11 for the whole playthrough yes, zwei maxed out is enough damage against four kings to kill them without having too much trouble. like, its efficient enough to kill each one 1v1 so if you can go through the pain of midrolling through their attacks then its doable
I'm kinda figuring I'll have to take off the armour because otherwise I'll fatroll - at level 11 you need a ring of FAP + havels to midroll in giants+zwei/gc/pyro flame and I'll need to take off havel's ring to wear the abyss ring
I'm in love with pvp watchdog, mother fucking hackers can eat shit and die. Link to the mod, I had to disable my sweetfx since it conflicted with the pvp watchdog even after applying the work around. Other than that it's a must have tool for pvp. I'm level 20, I swear!! [t]http://i.imgur.com/97vsdpu.jpg[/t]
whoa, you have a mod that lets you boot out invaders and view their stats? That's super useful, what is it?

It works with the new steam version? If so totally nabbing, hackers can eat shit :v:
My DS1 suddenly won't launch. I'm assuming it's because i need to update DSfix but whenever i download the file and open it, it redirects me to my Temp file and won't allow me to go back :v:
how does watchdog work when you have a summon with you and youre invaded? can you select individual players to kick/lists more than one? or is just a kick all players option?
Also how does that work? Does it just shut down your connection?
