Cooping with friends in DS1 can be super annoying to set up, are you both in the same download region? That might help out.
Yep both set to Washington DC
Alright just beat Demon's Souls Yep it is my all time favorite Souls game hands down [editline]6th September 2015[/editline] ew double post. Sorry
It's a shame DSCfix doesn't work with the non xbox live version of DS on PC, I remember cooping with this dude and we were literally #1 connection priority to each other, he'd put his sign down and instantly be able to come into my game. Pretty swish
That's because DSC fix routed the connection priority through your friends list, so you'd always end up in the same connection node. I'm sure it could be done for steam works too, but no one's tried yet, so it's a real shot in the dark to get in the same node.
I really regret not staying in NG and finishing a few things before jumping to NG+ in Demon's Souls Son of a bitch
In my first playthrough of DS1 I went to NG+ without realizing that I could upgrade my armor. I really want From to do a DS1 remastered version or something, I absolutely fucking LOVED that game and would like to have that mixed with the things that DS2 improved on (like those godlike backstab and parry animations)

Boy was Sen's Funhouse easier on NG+!

More interesting magic, and an MP bar, wow I might actually make one of my characters use magic this time round Hidden walls will be activated by attacks again, that's good, never really made sense when you had to mash interact while running around
All the news are perfectly great.

They don't align with your parry frames at all (hello buckler, parrying only after the animation has happened). The attack animations are garbage as well, the riposte is so fucking drawn out your enemy would have plenty of time to stab you where you stand, and the backstab has the fucking retarded head bop. If you have time to bop your enemy in the head to stun him you have time to shove your sword in his back.

Miyazaki wants to keep the convenience aspects from previous titles, unless they interfere with game design.
Hmmm, I am very curious as to how this will affect level design. Hope Miyazaki knows what he's doing there.
Of particular note is that bonfire ascetics will not be returning, so players will be unable to artificially + zones.
Interesting. I liked how ascetics worked so it's kind of a shame to not see it return. Hidden walls back to smacking with a weapon so that's a thing.

My main issue is with the animations, they lack so much weight and power, it never felt satisfying to me to backstab or riposte enemies.
Hmmm, I am very curious as to how this will affect level design. Hope Miyazaki knows what he's doing there.
I think it can be alright, but only as long as you can't warp to every bonfire. I kind of want to have to run around between areas to traverse the world instead of just warping around to the exact location you need to be, or else it kind of kills the exploration.
What made the riposte/backstab in Dks1 great were the sound and camera, not the animation. It's like you forgot they didn't have much diversity and forgot that Demon's still holds the great fall riposte and Dks2, while it felt rushed, it did have some good backstabs like the spear and dagger. They all look sluggish because of the lack of impactful sound and camera, imagine how better it would look with the hammer if you add Dark Souls 1 stuff.
The hornet ring ripostes in DS1 could be brutal. The great axe stands out in particular. The parry system in DS2 was just all around lackluster, it was more awkward to do and it felt really out of place to have an enemy just lay on the ground for a few seconds and watch you stab him.
yeah the animation is definitely not what makes the dark souls 1 backstabs have you even seen the backstab animation with a club? that little twirl shit you do is ridiculous dark souls 2 had great animations but lacked in the sound department, the overhead smash you do with greathammers is brutal demon's souls still has the best animations when it comes to backstabs though, they're really lively

Nothing ruins the feel and immersion so hard like a random death animation. You just backstabbed a guy with a greathammer? Well fuck you, have a headshot/spear poke pose.
I'm selling a Sif Statue if anyone wants it: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151809806671?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Can I get some details to how you have "Used" it?
please no
Oh i think it means "opened" or such, so it cuts the price. The value really varies from sealed to opened and to an item that has been out for a long time.

I went for the serious question, i barely find any hotglue joke these days :v:
You quite didn't get the joke. [sp] Excalibuurr implied him 'hot gluing' the sif figurine [/sp]
I thought he meant I shoved it up my ass or something. And while I shouldn't have to clarify it, no - I did not shove it up my ass.
I thought he meant I shoved it up my ass or something. And while I shouldn't have to clarify it, no - I did not shove it up my ass.
but you did hot glue it?
but you did hot glue it?
There isn't a response to this that will satisfy you guys.
If I had the money, I'd buy it in a heart beat :C

Finally managed to join the dragon covenant before doing any of the bosses and using only my wits and a lucky BKH drop. Now I just need to get another 74 dragon scales. at SL30 if anyone cares. [editline] [/editline] Just gonna leave it near the altar in the church and get on with other stuff, I suppose.

Usually hang out in the belltower to do Gargoyle fights.
