Also how does that work? Does it just shut down your connection?
Presumably it just emulates them disconnecting, seeing as you always have control over your own game. It's peer to peer so the only thing they can force on you is what they can send over your mutual connection
how does watchdog work when you have a summon with you and youre invaded? can you select individual players to kick/lists more than one? or is just a kick all players option?
I think it only detects suspected cheaters and ignores players who it thinks are legit, so the ability to kick will be limited to them.
So I took some pictures of the Black Dragon Armor concept art from the DS2 design works book, and it pretty much confirms it's just a normal piece of armor. Way lame compared to the real dragon form you get in DS1.

Sorry for shit camera quality, my scanner sucks and all i had left to use was my phone's camera. Tried to touch it up in photoshop.
For me, you still turn into a dragon. Won't accept anything else.
I would adore a set of armor like that.
The pvp watchdog only allows the kicking option if it detects players that hack their stats/soul level.
the dragon armor definitely still fuses to your skin though. so you become a medieval cyborg dragon
There is one they fear... Dragonborg
Drobocop.

So then it's basically Gut's Berserker Armor. :v:

My love for you is like a truck... Berserrrkerrr
Wouldn't be surprised if they pulled it off Berserk, seeing how they have a massive boner for it.
I would be perfectly okay with a Souls styled Berserk game. It'd basically be like going through the game as Artorias anyway.

B-but it does its roar!
Jesus, Demon's Souls sure is something different. Loving the atmosphere, and the way levels are designed (unlucking shortcuts instead of checkpoints is a nice change of pace). Definitely sucks when there's no shortcuts present, which is seemingly the case in the Valley of Defilement.

I dunno if that's how it works, there's some dragon pants there. I'm thinking the guy just puts on some fairly skin-tight black cloth on and then drops dragon plates ontop of it.
These dragon pants? This dragon belt? No, trust me bruv, I'm a dragon. Say what you want about the cosmetic appearance of the Dark Souls 1 dragon form, it was still a true dragon form and not just some shiny gold plate armor. I would love if it the Dark Souls 3 dragon form did a little bit more than just change your appearance and give you a roar ability.
Anyone got a fun PvP build with Piromancies?
I remember way back someone posted a build that was kind of a cospvp of the Desert Sorceress that was hellishly fun.

Fire Snake is always awesome and so is Dance of Fire if you can land kt. In the Arena's i always like to go to the middle or the top depending in the map and drop an Outcry/Firestorm/Whatever. Chaos Pyromancies are always fun if a little slow. You could also do a chip damage build just to fuck with people and so some sort of daggers and Immolation.

This is probably the one you're thinking of

tbh pyromancy is really strong in ds2, not sure why I see so few people using it in pvp (aside from forbidden sun spam, which is of course one of the nastiest things you can encounter now)
I fucking hate the Belfry Gargoyles.
The key you get from them is not even worth fighting for it. Lost Sinner is still a milion times easier than the gargoyles, but I want to see the fight when her room is illuminated.
So anyone got tips on how do I defeat them? I wanna use dex weapons on this playthrough, so I'm using Ricard's rapier atm. No idea if it's good enough, I think I've upgraded it to +3 or something

Lightning buff, Try no targeting, hit and run tactic.
There are a few things about the gargoyle behaviour that you can exploit
1. They walk very slowly, key to victory is to circle around them whenever they're about to overwhelm you and you've got your back against the wall. Run to the other side of the arena, bait one of them into attacking, smack it a few times and get out of the way if the others catch up, rinse and repeat
2. After every attack they'll back off a few steps. They never attack twice so it's perfectly safe to smack away at them after that, especially if they just lunged at you and are away from the others
3. When they're low on health they will always hang back and use ranged attacks. So long as you stay away from them they're pretty much harmless and you can deal with the others without giving them any mind
Also focus on jump attacks, that way you can hit, get some good damage and get out without accidentally like rolling or attacking another time and getting hit.
Uugh no, I tried to do four kings with my fire zweihander +5, not going to happen. Even going full ham not giving a shit about my health, I only did like 1/3 of their health before the next king spawned. Can't get up to even chaos +4 without farming them using invasions in the forest hunter covenant (and I'm level 11).
Should I do a reinforced club fire +5 or a lightning +4? I guess I have a few more options with weapons too because I'm not quite SL1, 16 strength/12 dex if you guys can recommend a better setup.
If anyone was wondering where EpicNameBro was for the past few months (though his disappearances are hardly surprising at this point), he just put up a video explaining where he's been and what he was doing. It is Bloodborne related.
lightning refclub+4 is the best damage youre going to do at that level
dang, was hoping there'd be something better with my str/dex. Wasn't sure about the lightning/fire diff either because lightning+4 is better than fire+5 but the four kings have more lightning resist than fire resist.
I got the 100% achievement for DS1 on PS3 ages ago, and wanted to do the same for Steam. Near the end I got bored grinding for some of the weapons and upgrade materials again, and used Cheat Engine. But the Knight's Honor and Prayer of a Maiden are not activating, even though I'm sure I have all the weapons/miracles for them. I used CE to get the Gravelord Greatsword Dance and a bunch of weapons (specifically, by transforming existing items into them), do I need to obtain these legit? It did recognize me having a illegimately gotten +5 chaos weapon for the achievement once I dropped it and picked it up again.
how the fuck do you actually back up saves now through the beta? i just got screwed out of a 70 hour playthrough because the saves in NBGI/darksouls arent registering
So, for the past week I have been stuck at Fume Knight.
It doesn't matter if I try him all by myself or summon 1 or 2 phantoms, this guy is a fucking joke.
No way to beat him, you'd have to be rolling 100% perfectly the whole fight, which takes ages because he has fucking resistance against EVERYTHING you can throw at him.
Actually, I don't want to be a whiny bitch, but he effectively killed all my motivation for dark souls 2.
Guess that's how you go hollow.
This game is just no fun in offline mode.
