What if someone modded WotG to heal on contact?
I'm not seeing a vendor for upgrade stones.
I'm scared, a bit.
While i think it's awesome that they recognize that SM is a problem, it's kind of a cop-out way to do it and takes up a ring slot.

I like the small ways they're going back to DS1 mechanics. Like how you get Human Effigies from invaders, and being in the Champs Covenant allows unlimited enemy spawns. Also the retooled drops from invasions really sets my butt on fire. FROM generally gave people more of a reason to do these things aside from "killing the host is fun"

When you burn a human effigy at a bonfire it prevents you from summoning phantoms or being invaded for 30 minutes in that area. With the patch that effect is activated automatically so you aren't invaded right after a boss fight so you can actually reach a bonfire.

Ah okay, I knew about the burning human effigies I just didn't understand they meant the literal temporary effect, that's actually really nice. I thought it meant you couldn't be invaded in areas where you've beaten the boss.

Velstadt is super easy though? I mean, i understand that with low ADP and basically nil Iframes it becomes a bunch of fuckery but he's still not too bad.
So I had an insane idea for a gimmicky PVP build. Start a new character and try to get the White Ring from the crows, Then try to collect as much armor and weapons as possible, and make your character a "quality build" (around 40 STR and DEX). Also get Chameleon/shitloads of Silver talismans and red eye orbs.
Then invade, and if you find a host that has white phantoms with them, try to copy the loadout of the white phantom he's with, and see how long you can last until they notice. Or wait until the other one is gone and backstab the host when he's not expecting it.
It'd be a pain to set up, but I imagine it'd be rewarding when it works.

I sort of do this. When i'm PvPing and i lose against someone multiple times, i'll copy their loadout, fight them again and murder the fuck out of them. It's really, really intense when both of you are good with lances.

So this pretty much means I'll have to be wearing the ring 24/7 during invasions, don't I? Cuz man oh man, that kinda sucks that it takes up a precious ring slot. Guess it could replace my Chloranthy Ring and I just use green blossoms as a substitute.

This annoys me to no end because it goes completely against what the bell keeper covenant is about. Bell keepers are supposed to disrupt the host from reaching the end of the level and they already have an enormous disadvantage in being unable to use healing items. Now you're going to have even more people using bell towers to farm materials.
I understand what they were trying to do but this is just going to be used to have one sided "duels" even more frequently
I just hope they weren't being clear considering the Agape Ring. I hope it just absorbs souls that go to soul memory. It'd suck that it absorbs souls that could go to upgrading weapons and armor, so it raises the possibility of going over your preferred SM trying to get the souls for an upgrade.
Albeit I guess it keeps people that are overleveled from ganking on lower leveled people.

Bell phantoms always get a partner if they evade their target for a few moments. They are not at a disadvantage.

Pretty sure they didn't, because if miracles are viable in PvE then they apparently should be nerfed into the fucking ground.

It was like this before but now you get two rank points instead of one. Also when was the last time you saw a blue help someone you were invading? They aren't common.

I don't think the ring is enough and will make it annoying to stick to the meta or unfun since you will be limited to the gear you buy and if you want to try something else you will have to raise your SM. They also killed the NG Arena so I don't know where to PvP after this without worrying about my SM.

now to be fair they were way more than just viable, as i recall you could take down a boss in like two minutes with just a bunch of lighting spears and each attunement slot gave you a ton of them. it totally had that nerf coming. they were just too indecisive on whether it should remain strong but scarce or be weak and plentiful so it ended up being completely useless
