It's an update, but the last thing I need is to ruin the surprise by going to YT.

They spawn directly after defeating nashandra, the same way it immediately jumps to the nashandra fight if you're ready. I'm guessing if you see the light after defeating nashandra, it's because it's letting you either choose the defeat nashandra ending or continue doing stuff to trigger the next boss fight. Unfortunately it's a bit long for me to listen the whole video on how to do it, and there's no summary in the description.
[sp]you have to kill vendrick too, I'm told[/sp]
That didn't seem to change anything. Unless he only pops up right after defeating Nashandra.
Fought The Rotten after summoning Lucatiel and a Sunbro. Lucatiel decided the boss fight was unimportant and started fighting the black gulch monsters instead while me and the Sunbro killed the boss. A+ AI.
where's the new ring?
Straid has it i think.
where's the new ring?
You get it from Straid.
Straid, apparently.
so... straid then?
Straid... he has it
HOLY SHIT THAT FINAL BOSS!! God DAYMN this is gonna take a while. Now THIS is a final battle!
The AI summons becoming fixated on an enemy other than the one you want them to help you fight would be fine if they didn't take 10 minutes to kill one enemy.
I BEAT IT! BY GOD WHAT A FIGHT! You can't cheese him with spells, can't mash R2 melee, TWO STAGES, dodge too early and you die by ALL of his high damage attacks, more players means more damage AND the attacks are executed faster, and survive his One Winged Angel move. That ending too. Yep. buying this for PS4 and PC with the re-release.
I've already defeated Nashandra. Do I have to go back and fight her again to get this all to work?
I've already defeated Nashandra. Do I have to go back and fight her again to get this all to work?
Yep. Just use a bonfire ascetic. But you need to go to these select locations FIRST. [sp]The Rotten Bonfire, the Undead Crypt 1st bonfire, the Dragon Shrine Bonfire, and then beat Nashandra again.[/sp]
finally got the wii mote working
Key.W = Nunchuk.Up Key.S = Nunchuk.Down Key.A = Nunchuk.Left Key.D = Nunchuk.Right Key.Up = Wiimote.Up Key.Right = Wiimote.Right Key.Left = Wiimote.Left Key.Down = Wiimote.Down Mouse.RightButton = Nunchuk1.ZButton Mouse.LeftButton = Nunchuk.C Key.Space = Wiimote.B Mouse.MiddleButton = Wiimote1.A Key.N = Wiimote.Two Key.E = Wiimote1.One Key.Enter = Wiimote.Minus Key.Escape = Wiimote.Plus Key.BackSpace = Wiimote.Home
glovepie code btw works a lot nicer than the snes controller (Which still worked better than you'd think) [editline]4th February 2015[/editline] if you want to try it as well, I haven't tested my motionplus controller yet so idk if it'd work but wii mote numchuck bluetooth that natively uses toshiba stack (this is very important, or else it won't connect) Glovepie

I think it's the 4th bonfire you light, doesn't matter which order[/sp]
New ending is miles better than stupid stone chair. You character also looks like a real badass. [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/700643652988182425/679EE3CCF5F6B06864B59874FFECD7B5B4EF901B/[/t]

Though I couldn't take a picture because I'm on ps3, it looks incredibly BADASS! I look like the combination of Hawke from DA2 and King Stefan from Sleeping Beauty. I should do a True Monarch build and stream it through the PS4 or PC.
I'm assuming if you choose the other option you get the original ending?
Yep. I didn't notice the light back at the fog door and thought the new ending would happen if I went for the Throne. Wasted a Bonfire Aesthetic for nothing :v:
Kinda disappointed that the [sp]new boss[/sp] dropped nothing. No new soul, no new weapon, nossink.
No new soul or boss weapon? Man, that's depressing. But according to maddogsamurai, the boss fight is fucking worth it.
I don't really get the new ending. [sp]Do you just decide to disregard dark and light to hope to end the cycle in some way?[/sp] [editline]February 4, 2015[/editline] [sp]Doesn't inaction lead to dark anyway?[/sp]
[sp]Doesn't inaction lead to dark anyway?[/sp]
[sp] In the last game inactivity meant a lead to dark, yes. However this game leaves some more speculation. Your character is probably either; 1. Leading to a dark age once again 2. Finding an alternative, rather than wasting his life away just to continue the cycle. [/sp]
I don't really get the new ending. [sp]Do you just decide to disregard dark and light to hope to end the cycle in some way?[/sp] [editline]February 4, 2015[/editline] [sp]Doesn't inaction lead to dark anyway?[/sp]
This either leads to one last DLC/expansion, or a small scale sequel. I'm hoping for the former, since the DLCs have been at a decent length and difficulty. As for the [sp] the last boss,[/sp] there might be an explanation to that besides already having your fill from Nashandra: LORE SPECULATION INBOUND! [sp] I think due to his dangerous experiments on the Flame, the dragons, and the curse, Aldia became a monster. At the same time though, he became the perfect being. He drops no souls, no item, no "Soul of the Scholar", no trace of his existence is taken by you. He's transcended beyond the cycle, still talking to you after his defeat from beyond. He did something with the blood of the dragons, the Dark curse, and the Light that made him perfect. Then there's Shanalotte and the fact that he warps where bonfires should be. Take a good look at her eye, then look back at Aldia's "face". Notice a pattern?[/sp] As for the ending... I think [sp] the "leave" ending has the Chosen Undead walk away from the throne to aid Aldia in breaking the cycle as someone else takes the throne. Either you take the throne and it all starts again, or you leave to find answers and someone else does.[/sp] I'm leaving this to either new DLC or Dark Souls III.
Personally I'm hoping they break the formula for dark souls 3 and instead of having a TES style "so far into the future your past actions don't matter too much" sequel they instead have a direct sequel to dark souls 2 where your character, having chosen to [sp]fuck off from the throne[/sp] instead throws a crazy party with the help of Shalquoir and Benheart thus permanently ending the darkness random side note, didn't know but apparently Shalquoir's voice actor is the same as Ciaran's. Hannah John-Kamen. [thumb]http://st.kp.yandex.net/images/actor_iphone/iphone360_2686706.jpg[/thumb]
Welp the scholar boss sucked. I went in with 2 dudes, he one shotted one guy with the giant fireball, and then glitched out and stopped attacking so we spent 10 minutes taunting around him and stabbing him with spears until he died.

Wierd; I guess it's a random bug that happens with all of the bosses. Sorry if it killed the boss fight for you; it's truly an amazing fight without the glitches. @Elspin, image isn't loading for me. Might as well Google it.
