Clearly, you have discovered the actual final secret boss.

wow the frigid outskirts grew trees!
I had the same problem, updating video drivers fixed it

With the patch i seem to have been unbanned, was able to summon and be summoned for lost giant and pursuer no issues. moved on to tower of flame, not a sign in sight, and i didnt get summoned either despite seeing ghosts. got the cheese kill on dragonrider and move on to no mans wharf, plop my sign down and take a leisurely stroll through the zone to the boss fog gate, not one summon sign seen (other than lucatiel) and i didnt get summoned either. The bonfire UI is saying theyre areas im likely to get player interaction in and im still in same session that i was able to summon before. has the game decided i should be banned again despite being on a character thats never even heard of cheat engine?
FINALLY killed those two stupid cats.
Summoned a guy and he had the red eye ring and just tanked it all for me.
I tried SL1 in DS1 the other day. Being stuck with the hand axe is NOT fun.

It just feels so wrong to use
I got the Jagged Ghost Blade ASAP and fully upgraded it before I even did the Capra Demon boss fight on my SL1 character. It's OP.
So I'm around SL 80 and I only just got to the Earthen Peak. I have a +4 Flame Longsword and a +8 Bastard Sword (which I plan on enchanting with Lightning when I get the Dull Ember) as my main weapons. I feel like I MAY be a bit overleveled and just a bit overpowered. I mean, in DkS1, I didn't get to level 80 until I was halfway through getting all the Lord Souls and even then I had spent a hefty amount of time grinding for souls. When I finished the game I had just squeaked past the SL 90 mark. Should I scale back on spending souls on leveling and instead invest more in upgrading my weapons and armor?

Find a set of armor you really 'fit into' before upgrading it and save your titanite
max your weapons (both are great) and then focus on leveling, and collecting armor.
In the game, compare armor stats and see how they look.
or play

personally, I would instead upgrade weapons, and increase my arsenal, instead of getting armor. Armor doesn't do a lot at all, and it's better if you diversify weapons. Level 80 is pretty solid though. you could reroll, keep the agility about 100 and try and open up what the character has in terms of skills
basically, just kind of, experiment with spells and weapons at this point. Decrease health for some fancy tricks.
Yeah, I haven't bothered upgrading my Elite Knight set just yet because I'm not sure if I'm going to replace it with the Faraam set when I get my hands on it (because it looks cooler, to be honest). I would have went with the Drangleic set but it requires Twinkling Titanite to upgrade and I only have one piece of that. Aside from that, I want to save souls so I can upgrade my Pyromancy flame so it becomes a viable tool. In DkS1 I managed to fully upgrade it and get all the spells for it thanks to heavy grinding. It felt awesome, but too bad I was already almost done with the game when I finally finished up with that. At least it'll be useful if I decide to go for NG+.
Funny story, I didn't realize that I could have used the Ballistas to hurt the Pursuer in the second fight with him until after I finally beat him. Didn't take many tries, but it did take a lot of stamina, estus, and time.
If you want a character that'll get you through the whole game with no issues and be able to experiment with a lot of different weapons and playstyle, do a quality build which is 40/40 Str/Dex. You could also get your int to around 15-20 and have access to a lot of solid sorceries and more if you spice them down.

Pretty much the best way to get a good set of weapons is take a pile of th em and start going through the scaling of them, and the move set
the better the level scaling/damage and moveset, the better the weapon.
Try and narrow 10 weapons down to 6, and use all slots for them, get weapons that feel good together, and then, use those weapons, unleveled still, against various enemies, see how they feel in combat when they aren't even that effective. Put all other weapons in the endless box and stick to these 6. Max the favorites and keep them with your current ones. Don't worry that badly about damage. I recommend, very heavily, maxing a Dagger out, as it can drop any boss easy. Don't be afraid to collect boss souls, in fact, you'll be glad you do because some of the gear is TIGHT.
What I've done for my brawler is heides lance + Zweihander, it's real nice.
for melee %50/%50 str/dex and 100 agility, with enough health to take a hit or two and recover, is the best build you can make.

Agreed. Lances are probably my favorite playstyle but spears and greatswords, both regular and Ultra, are also fantastic. And don't be afraid of trying something wacky, it usually pans out pretty well. For example, i found out that two powertstanced +10 Raw Old Knight Hammers buffed with fire will one shot any of the Drakekeepers with a heavy attack. Also, not to contradict you Jinx, but if you do have a weapon you really like but feel the damage is lacking, use Resins or get your intelligence up to like 10 i think and get Magic Weapon.
if the damage is lacking but the moveset feels good for you, and it attacks well, resins will shit on bosses EASY.
every time I try to make a new character to build I always end up just building the same boring jack-of-all-trades character.
Average strength, medium armour, a sword and a mace with a shield and a bow if I need it
sorry if late but uh does Bloodborne have any kind of stats building system confirmed yet?
My recent build is going for an Odin-type character. Greataxes with backup Caestus, Bandit gauntlets, Elite Knight pants, faith spells.

I've seen a glimpse of weapon advancement, but player stat levels haven't been shown as far as I know.
So having used a wiimote on PC and dark souls I just realized that it's actually BETTER for combat
Thumb on the dpad for constant access to weapons and estus, and B for roll
there are 0 times a camera is needed in a duel
don't suppose anyone knows how to get this DKS2 first person mod working
i dunno if a 1st person mod is a good idea. Theres quite a few enemies that specialize in attacking from the sides/rear, ESPECIALLY in the dlc

Also does the dlc pick up mid game like in DS1 or is it at the end
each dlc is after 3 of the 4 main bosses once you kill that boss you can access the dlc.

Happens alot more than it should...
How much of a piece of shit do you have to be to invade in shrine of amana and don't even wait for the host to kill the fucking drakekeepers chasing him
[editline]7th February 2015[/editline]
I put down a sign in front of velstadt's fog gate, guy summons me, enters the bossfight
I got sent back. The game said the host left the area
edit: it happened again, help

Drakekeepers? You mean the Archdrake? Yeah that area is almost a 100% invader win.
For Velstadt's fog gate, pretty sure most of the hosts are desperate to kill Vendrick but you can't get summons against him.

Yeah this kept happening to me, at first I thought it was because I was slightly far away from the gate, but nope. Happened when I was right next to the guy, and the other summon and me just looked at the each other and shrug.
Happened to me with smelter too, I guess it happens when the host wants to kill a boss that's in the same area like Vendrick or the pursuer
Man, that awkward moment when you die because you think running across a flaming rock to get the shiny thing on the other side was a good idea. And then you try to do it again so you can get back the buttload of souls you just got from the boss you just beat, only to die again. Silver lining: the fact that I had zero souls let me get the transparent armor set from the weapons merchant in Majula. Being protected while looking naked is always a funny thing.

Yeah, i don't even know what those items are, i've never bothered. Even with as much fire resist as possible and Flash Sweat there's still barely enough time for me to get across so i never bother.

According to the guide I'm looking at one of them is a Human Effigy, but I already have a buttload of them. They're surprisingly common, and also I don't use them until I get to a boss chamber. Save them up so I can humanify myself and pick up a couple of brosephs to engage in Jolly Cooperation with.
