Do you guys think we'll be getting a full red eye orb / blue eye orb with this new patch? Or will we still have to suffer through blood PVP for our fun orbs?

Seeing as they made us farm souls for an armour, I don't see why they would add such a commodity.
With enemies not disappearing in Covenant of Champions, I might continue a run on that and finally be able to farm everything I need / wanted. But what happens if you farm an area to extinction, then join the covenant? Will they respawn or stay dead?
I think they respawn cause like what if you leave the covenant and make them extinct then?

Way I see it theres a normally counter for how many times youve killed specific enemies before they respawn, but for covenant of champions its just "yes, do spawn"
Covenant of Champions will be even tougher than it is now. Can't wait to have half my health removed by dogs in 1 hit on NG+4
Can get, more often than not I'm on my own
Well, people can also run out of healing items, since most of the time you aren't the first guy invading.
I wonder if that applies to Red Phantoms, 'cause they also mentioned Awestones being easier to get. If so, it'll be so much easier to get things like the Aurorus Armor, Warlock Mask and Vanquisher's Seal.
Bell phantoms always get a partner if they evade their target for a few moments. They are not at a disadvantage.
Not true, you forget that you're not always the first person summoned into the tower, so there are many times where you get spawned in as the second phantom only to find that the first one is dead and the host has already healed.
That and I have been summoned in plenty of times and fought the host to the death when he clearly just entered the area, without any help arriving at all.

It is done. His weakness was killing him. Thank you for the pants.
Does anyone here use any kind of PS3 controller wired to play Dark Souls on PC?
I'm so fucking fed up with BetterDS3 because it never works consistently and SCP-DS3 has never worked at all... Does anyone have any suggestions?
Honestly just getting a wired xbox controller is the easiest imo.
SCP-DS3 has never worked at all... Does anyone have any suggestions?
That's strange. I have dualshock 3 and it worked since the first time I installed.

Do you use a wired connection or a USB Bluetooth adapter?

Wired.

I have wired and use BetterDS3. It works perfectly fine for me on both Souls games and Trackmania.
Wired.
I've never been able to make SCP-DS3 work at all for me. It just doesn't seem to register having a controller connected.

Mine just disconnects randomly and then bluescreens shortly after.

Is it using a USB3.0 slot? I had that issue on my previous motherboard that only happened when using USB 3.0.

No. It was USB 2.0 but I'm honestly so sick of using that program in general because it'd only work about 40% of the time and would simply fail or cease to work at other times.
SCP-DS3 Registers my controller but won't do anything with it. It's like I can't configure it to work, or that it's just not reading the input.
There's something in SCP that my computer doesn't like and freezes up whenever it starts. If there's a trade shop around where you live, try finding a cheap wired 360 controller.
So in the interviews about scholar of the first sin they talked a little bit about who they are, does anyone have any ideas? I haven't been active in the thread for a while
As for his identity, players will have come across him in the original game. “I think people will look at the videos and screenshots and make their own judgments but that’s up to them," Tanimura explains. "He’s an already established character in the lore, he’s there you don't notice him in the original game. It’s an interesting unfolding I think. This goes for players who haven't played the game as well players who pick up Scholar of the First Sin as their first Darks Souls experience, they are going to be much more involved in the lore because of that.”
So he's saying he was already someone in the original game, he just didn't have a physical appearance until now? Who could he be?
The only established characters I can think of that never made an actual physical appearance usually met their end already in the lore, such was Alva the Wayfarer or Ichorous Earth.
[editline]15th January 2015[/editline]
Wait, Ichorous Earth was actually the Old Iron King, so scratch that one lol
[editline]15th January 2015[/editline]
Maybe he's Pharros :v:
I'm pretty sure it's going to be Aldia.
Yeah, they nerfed Miracles into the ground. Even with everything you can possibly do to make them stronger, they only do a fraction of the damage they used to. My Miracle build has relied mostly on melee. Sorceries also took a bit of a hit, they still seem to do the same damage but they don't damage poise as much as they used to, if at all, making them a lot harder to use and cast reliably. Hexes, however, continue to go untouched, as do Katanas.
Can't believe more people aren't tearing FROM a new asshole in this thread for their half assed Soul Memory fix.
-Takes up a ring slot
-Will split the playerbase between competitive ring users and non ring users (a 4-way split total, considering the disconnected online play between versions)
-Invalidates the point of having SM in the first place since twinking is now possible again
-Still isn't a sustainable solution because once you run out of souls you'll never be able to re-stock your consumables, and so you'll need to acquire more souls, eventually leading to you gaining a higher tier SM
werent hexes nerfed a tad shortly after release?
also how is pyromancy? im giving it a try without really any information on them. only question i need to ask is how the scaling works with int/faith. is it worth levelling them up a lot? or just a bit? most of the scaling comes from the glove itself i hope?
Only Resonant Weapon was nerfed to the ground because it was simply the best weapon buff in the game.
And speaking of pyromancy - Flame Weapon was nerfed pretty noticeable for no fucking reason.
Not to mention almost every piece of armor has a good fire def.
is it true that dark weapon is better than resonant weapon now?
I think they do the same thing, but resonant weapon uses a chime and costs souls to cast.
also i fucking hate how you need to be in perfect range to actually do damage with halberds in this game, but it was like that since day one. sure it seems fair, but you can just equip a greatsword and do 100% damage at any distance/angle you actually hit someone with, so they are just halberds without that penalty because most of them have similar swings than the halberds do
Actually every weapon has a spot where it does full damage while everywhere else only does partial damage. For greatswords it's in the middle of the blade. The thing with Halberds is that they have a severe damage penalty for striking with the shaft.
The Black Knight Halberd is pretty easy to hit with, the head is huge and starts closer to the user.
The partizan can work decently too, I love the sweeping R2s and they hit like a truck when you land the hit properly.
You should try a RobFlynn Mastodon Halberd build. Two hand it and you can take 2/3rds of someones health with the R1s, if all combos hit with the sweet spot.
