With close to 400 hours I still haven't done the ancient dragon.
I've killed the ancient dragon once. I can't be fucked to kill a damage sponge boss that can randomly decide to kill me in one hit.
I have almost 900 hours in DS2 and still never beat the Ancient Dragon. He's too cool to kill. Instead I like to invade the ones that try to kill him. :v:
I've beaten him 4 or 5 times. The first and third times were for completion. Second and forth were because I could.
It's funny how you can tell how experienced some players are by what they're wearing. You start off the game wearing heavy armor, a big greatshield and a powerful weapon to tank your way through the game. Then after multiple playthroughs you get good enough at the game that you don't even need that stuff anymore and start running around butt naked with a rapier. :v:
Don't know about that, I mean sure your skill can compensate for worse gear but if I had a dime for every fashion souls player I'd destroyed massively I could buy the whole facepunch thread the new dx11 update. Besides, what if they're wearing it because they like the appearance? :v:
Ancient dragon is a lot easier than he looks. He's just tedious.
I've beaten him 4 or 5 times. The first and third times were for completion. Second and forth were because I could.
Yeah, I'm sort of a completionist, at least in terms of "kill all the bosses". The only reason I joined the Pilgrims of the Dark was so I could kill the Darklurker. I've abandoned the covenant now. Probably the quickest way to get the "full rank in a covenant" achievement, though by no means the easiest. Unless you have high magic defense, of course (I didn't). Also, I'm doing the Sunken King DLC right now. The singing in the Dragon's Sanctum is really creeping me out.
I remember in the first LORD LIFT playthrough, the darklurker bugged the fuck out and stayed still the whole fight.
I wish I had someone to do white ring invasions with. I miss doing those.
With close to 400 hours I still haven't done the ancient dragon.
I chose not to kill him, it was the same with Priscilla in DS1. I have a good guy syndrome in vidya games :v:
Ancient dragon is a lot easier than he looks. He's just tedious.
Toenail strats. Stand between his claws on rear right leg, fire dosent hit you, when he flies run out, when he lifts foot high roll under. repeat till dead. super simple stuff
Toenail strats. Stand between his claws on rear right leg, fire dosent hit you, when he flies run out, when he lifts foot high roll under. repeat till dead. super simple stuff
Exactly, tedious.

The developers got together and tried to determine the least interesting way to fight a dragon.

He's pretty tough to punch out.
I think Sinh is such a great boss fight, I've already fought him already over 10 times with like 5 different weapons. I wish I could do the same thing with Artorias without having to beat the game over again.
Location spoilers. Music is pretty awesome.
I won't be able to play Bloodborne but I'm still excited for it :v: I hope Woolie and Pat from TBFP will do a long ass playthrough like they did with DS2.
The music is so astounishing
The music is so astounishing
Is this a mix between astounding and astonishing :v:
Is this a mix between astounding and astonishing :v:
I meant astonishing but both were good words for it so i mixed it up, agh.
Wow, it was a lot easier to solo the graverobber trio than it was to fight them with the two NPC summons. Is it just me, or are their defenses increased when other players/characters summoned against them? Because I swear when I had the two NPC summons with me they barely took any damage from my +10 Lightning Bastard Sword, but without the two mooks it seemed like they took a lot more damage from the exact same weapon. Also, I think the Drakeblood armor set is my new favorite armor set. I was planning on sticking with the Faraam set to the end of the game, but once I laid my eyes on the Drakeblood set I fell in love immediately. Anyways, now I'm off to the Old Iron King DLC. God I hope I can stand a chance against the Fume Knight.

Generally it's better to have them, still (one of the exceptions being fume knight, you're better off on your own)

The only good thing for soloing them in terms of damage are parries\backstab. edit: oh it's hp scaling.

Unfortunately, there were no summon signs outside the boss arena, so my options were pretty much limited.
I just realized I hit 997 hours in DS2. I might actually beat my record of 1082 hours in DS1 at this rate lol

Nobody knew how to win that fight. I went through host after host until I finally got summoned to a King Vendrick cosplay, who had a Dragon Rider cosplay with him. They were cool. Also, good.
A friend just told me that Bloodborne will run at 60 fps at 1080p. Is that true? Sorry if this is something that has been answered or anything, I haven't been looking anything up to avoid spoilers.
