I was planning on doing a fist only run in DaS1, but I decided I wanted to do something more unique. So I made a random list of 2 weapon types and got Spears and Pyromanceries. What advice would you give for a Burning Spearman?

I got to say, this Burning Spearman is probably my best run yet. Got to Sen's Fortress in almost half the time as my John Darksoul run. Also got lucky and got the Boar Helmet on the first encounter.

I got an even stupider idea for a character than usual. It's time for a Dark Lord Chin Chin playthrough. I also found the Royal Ring in No Man Wharf, never checked the breakable wall so that was a first and saved my level 30 build for the firsts areas. And it won't 1 shot enemies or such since aside not being upgraded, my Strenght stat is low so it sort of adds the fun of helping people

I thought since the patch, enemy and item placements are supposed to be different. I just started a new game and everything is the same.

Alright, I beat the Fume Knight and Sir Alonne, and collected all the fragments of Nadalia's soul. Gonna take a few runs at the Magical Smelter Demon before moving on to the Ivory King content. Good lord those were some hard fights. The good news, however, is that they ended up giving me enough souls that I finally got my strength and dexterity up to 50. I think now I should focus on my health and stamina so I can take more hits and keep my block up longer.

Darklurker is dead. Gave up on NG+, went to NG++ and tried again, took me 4 tries plus dying twice in the shaded woods dark chasm. The road to darklurker aside, he's a well made and challenging bossfight, he can kill you in one or two hits and he becomes even more dangerous when he splits, so you gotta play tactical, time your attacks, make sure the other darklurker didn't just cast forbidden sun while you're dealing with the other one trying to melee you. Beating him felt so satisfying. And I got all the hexes too, so I got the Dark Soul achievement as well.

Then again that could just be his voice; a voice that no one seems to object. I never saw it to be really bad, but I can see why most people wouldn't like it. Regardless, I'm still a bit confused. The original update had us ascend the "throne"; with the speculation that we either linked the fire, or left it alone. Kind of like wishing what ending to get, but never seeing it. Now with the Scholar update, it's the [sp]"Link the Fire"[/sp] ending, with the new ending being [sp]"Don't Link the fire, but find a way to break the cycle for everyone and not plunge the world in Darkness."[/sp] The crowns help remove us from the cycle, good enough that we won't go hollow. I think the crowns will help give us time to break the cycle that Vendrick could not. Aldia's so far from the cycle that he's almost immortal. He still talks to you after you kill him. I guess he will become your partner after the "fuc the system" ending to break the cycle.(Not sure if this counts as a spoiler) Will there be one last DLC? Will there be a sequel? Jesus Christ, just getting to the Magic Smelter Demon is a pain in the ass. I spent the last god-knows-how-long just using the alternate routes to kill off the mages and posessed armors enough times so they stop spawning and then I can go human and use the two NPC summons to distract the Smelter Demon long enough for me to fuck it's shit. This was more of a hassle than it was trying to get to the Gank Squad in the Sunken King content.
