10 hours into a new run and I'm seeing very few summon signs/rarely get summoned. I've gotten the Sinners and the Iron King's souls. only paths I can currently go is down to the gutter and to that woman scorpion. currently sitting outside the boss for the woman scorpion, trying to get summoned but its taking forever. soul memory is 735682. any way to get more summons or have I accidentally gotten too high/too low soul memory? I haven't stopped to farm anywhere and deaths have been pretty minimal. is there any ports I should maybe open to broaden who I can interact with? [editline]2nd March 2015[/editline] dark souls 2 of course
a thread that no one posts in honestly it seems like a better idea to keep all the souls-series (yes, bloodborne is souls despite the name) games in a single thread
I said the same and i got "bluh bluh it doesn't have Souls in the name"
Made by Fromsoft, genre didn't change and not considered a "Souls" game? Woah guys, i know people love metal shiny armors but let's not get silly.
I'm not sure if I'm super late or not, but I have a lore theory. I just beat the Giant Lord again for the RoG +2, and I was wondering - in the Last Giant fight, simply looking at your character pisses him the fuck off enough to rip off his own arm to beat you to death with it - could it be that he remembers you from the "Memory" fight in YOUR future and HIS past that triggers him to do it?
I thought the memories were just some way of literally reliving someone else's memories, or something like that. Not actually going back in time. Or that's how I interpreted it.
Isn't it in the lore somewhere that the Giants were winning the war until some unknown hero showed up and wiped the floor with them?
this is literally 90% of any medieval fantasy lore
I thought the memories were just some way of literally reliving someone else's memories, or something like that. Not actually going back in time. There are also item descriptions of a mysterious warrior who appeared and defeated the Giant Lord before disappearing again.
Isn't it in the lore somewhere that the Giants were winning the war until some unknown hero showed up and wiped the floor with them?
The ring of giant was owned by Shieldless Lothian, a former General of Forossa. Since the Giant Lord also dropped it, it sort of makes me wonder if the unknown hero was himself but theeen -Lothian went to fight dragons due to how weak his human enemies were, so presumably he was already gone and perphaps trascended into one. -Gavlaan sells the standard Ring of Giants, don't know if it's because "hey gyrms have huge poise so we gotta have a gyrm that sell poise boosting ring" -Not much to know about Lothian except for Stone Ring which is a poise killer (which would have been useful against big enemies, lore wise) and the axe. I just don't want to dig the whole "Cursed undead alterating memories" and the whole "Time is convoluted", it would come off as a lazy explanation personally.

It's turned on by default, so turning it off might increase the amount of summons/invasions. Keep in mind that you will get matched with people from the USA and stuff aswell, so lagstabs might happen.
Some Scholar of the First Sin on PS4 for something to talk about.
I'm not really all that excited about Scholar, mostly because nothing feels like it's worth buying a whole copy of the game for. Especially since I play on PC. As far as I can tell, it's just Dark Souls II + the patch and DLC. Am I off base here?
Are we talking the E3 graphics? With the sick ass lighting? Frankly, I didn't like Dark Souls II enough to pick up any of the DLC. The game kind of wore on me. I'm excited to see if Bloodborne can hype me back up. Everything I've seen on it so far looks awesome.
The DLC were better than the base game. I wonder if BB will have a covenant system and i wonder if they'll actually make them work.
Decided to buy Demon Souls and picked Knight. Beat Vanguard at first try and... Death. Hilarious but at same time discouraging, oh well lots of grass to eat.
And the 6 phantoms limit seems pointless, when did you ever have the chance of having 6 people in the same world if not for some planned event? Wish some of the covenants allowed for group play, some of the most fun fights I ever had are 2vs2 randomly happening while invading, but it's really rare to see

Sir Alonne suddenly disappeared to "travel to distant unknown lands", while you actually just killed him. Benhart also dies if you kill him in the memory. [editline]3rd March 2015[/editline] Replied to the wrong person but whatever.

[sp] Bradley would have been a hype summon if he wasn't just a shade, but it's good for balance[/sp]

Was the path to No-Man's Wharf removed in PS3 version?

I really hope they finally added the unused variants that were in the game files. There's like 4 just on one side of Heide's Tower, i wonder if there are any more on Cathedral's side. Just from seeing this i'm more than curious enough to buy the re-release, despite how silly that may seem.

Wow his broadsword broke even faster than usual.
game runs at 60 fps on consoles too now so it has the bug that PC had from the start where twice the framerate = twice as much durability lost per hit
Yeah but it seemed like it broke faster than usual even accounting for that, maybe just me. Also so bullshit that they didn't bother fixing one of the most glaring issues.

That's true.
Did i see a Syan Knight in the Heide - No man wharf passage? Also on Demon's Souls i beat Phalanax with ease somehow (i guess Longsword +1 helped there) and after not being able to damage anybody in Stonefang, getting ganked and poisoned in the Valley of Defilement, i just decided to continue Boletaria until i met Tower Knight which felt extremely easy :v: Is it me or the dogs in this game are the deadliest in the Souls series?
That's true.
he also hit his shade a bunch of times.

The bosses are some of the easiest in the souls series, while the actual levels are fairly hard (no thanks to some bullshit-difficulty things thrown in there), I mean damn, I think I counted 5 fucking Dragon Bridges like the one in Dark Souls, all of which instakill you.
