That's not really comparable, the DX11 remaster is pretty much the same game with a different look and enemy placement. A lot of areas in Dark Souls 1 were really rushed and bland where only a remake would work.

Actually DS2 was also rushed since they had to restart from the beginning in mid development, this is why the DLCs felt much more complete to the rest of them since they were fully worked.
So yeah, it would have been amazing for a remake for both souls but it would take so much time and all plus redoing lore etc

What I meant was that the reason people are complaining about the DX11 version of Dark Souls 2 is because it's not actually changing that much. It's definitely not on par with remaking rushed areas.
So hey guys, I decided I'm gonna stream a Dark Souls 2 Challenge run today, if anyone's up for coming in

Basically, No Estus, No Shield, a Crossbow in the left hand, Bloodborne style loadouts only (have to 2-hand, powerstance, etc appropriately) and the game is running at [I][B]2X SPEED[/B][/I] to provide a bootleg Bloodborne fast-paced-ness. I also want to do do a straw-poll to decide what loadout I start with.
If anyone's interested please do drop in, I'm sure it'll be good times, probably.
I got to lost sinner earlier in the challenge run and gave up, only to be so drained that I couldn't even get through the Huntsmans Copse more than once.

Do we know if the durability bug relating to FPS will be fixed for DS2 when it hits PS4?
I haven't played any DLC and rarely touch my PS3 so if it is, I'd really like to pick it up..

Funny, because I really, really dislike the beginning of DS2. Shit only starts getting really enjoyable once you've hit the Castle. Everything up until that point feels like a choir.

So what'll be your weapon of choice for the ow SM run? Caestus? I imagine you'll want at least enough stats to power stance them.

You should've thought about that before attempting it in online mode to be honest. It's next to impossible.

I've been debating on doing the same, though a $450 purchase for one game does not seem worth it, seeing as there aren't any upcoming PS4 titles I'm really excited for.

General consensus is that it's really good. Too early to say if its Dark Souls 1 good, there are issues with load times at the moment but that's being patched.
