NPC invaders are a thing, right? and if so, is there a way to tell between a player invader and an NPC?
NPC invaders are a thing, right? and if so, is there a way to tell between a player invader and an NPC?
NPCs will usually have fitting names while players are normally Xxx420_c0pkillaw33dxxX
NPC invaders are thing, yes. All of them have distinctive names like Maneater Mildred or Kirk, Knight of Thorns. They also have larger than average health and tend to play in a regular, mechanical manner compared to human invaders.
NPC invaders are a thing, right? and if so, is there a way to tell between a player invader and an NPC?
npcs tend to be predictable. they tend to charge straight at you and their movement is very fluid, they don't run around in every direction like real invaders. also their names tend to be more formal
Thanks guys, there was this guy invading me a couple of times called Forlorn almost exacly at the same spot and i was going nuts wondering whether he's a real dude or an NPC
Answer, yes.
not guaranteed though like before, i killed them all twice and only got the helm so far. is the [sp]dragon[/sp] in that area easy or should i wait until i have some flame resistant gear?
Why are the two tiger bosses awful cheap reskins of a boss in the same DLC Why is the path to get there longer than any stretch in a souls game Why do the reindeer never stop respawning Like this is objectively the worst designed area and this is the most frustrated I've been in a souls game ever.
Use silver talismans to get there. You're welcome
Has the Steam version of the original Dark Souls fully removed GFWL or would I need to do some sort of a workaround?
Use silver talismans to get there. You're welcome
And I just beat them right there ;-;
Has the Steam version of the original Dark Souls fully removed GFWL or would I need to do some sort of a workaround?
GFWL is removed.
Good stuff. So if I reinstall straight from Steam i'll be able to play just fine without messing around?
I did exactly that without your advice, figured it out myself first time, I jumped down and hit him and thought great I can do that again. Climbed back up, was fumbling around trying to change weapon and he fucking jumped up and took me down in one hit Then on the way back I managed to die because of fucking firebombs so I lost about 7000 souls I'm so mad but I want to play more, I've had this game for a while but never got into it until now
Welcome to the Souls experience. Don't worry about the souls. You can always get more, so it doesn't set you back in the long run. At least, that's the mindset I've had to adopt to prevent myself from having an anyeurism. I don't want to spoil much, but... Be cautious on the charred bridge Camper referred to.
How active is DS1 now? I want to go make an SL1 dickwraith now
Are no-magic builds viable in PvP in Dark Souls 2? I haven't played in a while, but I remember my pure melee knight character managed to fend for himself, but I've been hearing that buffs and hexes have become the 'in' thing.

They are still very viable.

They've kicked more ass than any of my spell-using classes ever did, really. Melee 4 life.
How active is DS1 now? I want to go make an SL1 dickwraith now
my SL16 dickwraith was finding plenty of people a couple weeks ago so i would say its still pretty active
not guaranteed though like before, i killed them all twice and only got the helm so far. is the [sp]dragon[/sp] in that area easy or should i wait until i have some flame resistant gear?
That depends. Have you awoken him already? If so it might be tough, since he keeps spamming fire until you reach him and one can easily get knocked off the platform. If not, sprint as fast as you can to him and you should be good to go. As long as you evade the occasional firebreath that he sends down after he flies up
Aahh, that feels good. Soloed the [sp]gank squad[/sp] boss.
Good stuff. So if I reinstall straight from Steam i'll be able to play just fine without messing around?
Not sure if they changed it since I played but you might need to right click and opt into the beta version
Has From said anything about the crash issues?
Hah! After the aforementioned boss, near the chest that gives you the [sp]flower skirt[/sp] There's a message saying "Stay calm..."
Holy shit, that Ivory King boss fight. That's some of the best boss presentation I've ever seen. All of the dlc was fantastic. The only thing I didn't like about all the dlc is the Sunken boss fights. They were pretty disappointing.

My least favourite was the [sp]Zallen and Zud[/sp] fight, and all the area leading up to it, in Ivory King.

Kinda got lost so I'm taking a break and I'm gonna walk through the level again tomorrow.
I actually haven't done the third boss fight in the Ivory King dlc. Kinda got lost so I'm taking a break and I'm gonna walk through the level again tomorrow.
Every DLC has an area intended for co-op play, because the enemies there hit too hard/are too numerous for solo play. That area in the Ivory King DLC, which you're sure to discover later, is quite well-designed. But that doesn't stop it from being a royal pain in the ass.
