is there a good guide somewhere to get a PS4 controller to work with DS1?
Standard path for scaling, Lightning path for OP as fuck for the whole game cause most things are weak to lightning.
its always fun when you PVP against someone who invested a lot in physical def when you're wielding a lightning sword with a lightning oriented build
Finally reinstalled Dark Souls, to carry on from where I left off.
I click load game, and am suddenly greeted by a big red "YOU ARE DEAD". Hah, I died and before even respawning I must have quit the game and uninstalled it there and then.
Nearly all my saves on dark souls and dark souls 2 have me dying the second I load, and I can never play much farther than them because I'm usually stuck somewhere with my underpowered character.
in the first dark souls theres no such thing as underpowered

unless youre both low level AND using astora's then GOOD FUCKING LUCK
I tried to play Dks1 on my main lv 147 character but whenever i load, he's falling into nothing and doesn't want to die.
i love this lil' guy and how he's popping up everywhere

Be more aggressive, Pursuer leaves himself open a lot to get two or three swings in before needing to move again. Also always dodge left, all of his attacks can be entirely avoided even with low ADP if you dodge left.
yeah, I'm quite rusty after not playing souls games for a good half a year
Damn I'll admit SoTFS Pursuer looks better
fucking shit
that fencer in the iron keep really tested my patience with my dinky little +3 axes
the armorer that appeared practically 5 seconds after she died was pathetic though
also, the pursurers drop twinks, god bless
Okay this durability bug is absurd. i have come to a point that 4 swings drain a quarter of my weapon, WITH the ring that makes it drain less, and while it's reinforced to 10 (if that even changes that).

What are you using? Depending on the moveset, it may be spending a lot of frames inside an object/the ground/your enemy, which is what drains durability in the first place. I just started a new playthrough with a plain old estoc, no knuckle ring or anything, and it breaks a whole lot slower than the shortsword I was keeping on backup (unless I backstab something). I think that's because thrusting sword movesets are much faster and less of the sword spends time inside whatever I'm swinging at.

use the darksign item

I'm switching between the Old Knight Hammer and the Greatsword, both of them drain the same, and it was not that fast before. A single swing with the hammer makes it drain to a point it's visible
I was disappointed when I finally used the darksign and it didn't have a custom suicide animation.

The Old Knight Hammer only has 20 points of durability whereas i think the Greatsword has 70-80. Even with the Bracing Ring +2, it'll drain ridiculously fast. I use it basically exclusively for PvP because of that.
The Heide Knight Iron Mask and the opaque Aurous set can now be found in the [sp]Gutter (SOTFS, sorry) - Look carefully! The Aurous set is in a chest, the iron mask on a Heide knight next to it. There's also a (relatively) well-hidden mimic that drops the elusive torso piece of the dark set and the lightning winged spear.[/sp]
Might wanna spoiler item Locations. Ive been away from my computer for a week and only made it to the bastille.
Can someone help me out with the Crown of the Sunken King DLC? I'm at Shulva, the first bonfire, with 1 million SM and I'm fucked. I went way past everything and to Dragon's Sanctum, but I ran too far and got scared of the ghosts (past the first ghost encounter) and kept running and fell down a hole and just shit went downhill. Lost all my souls.

I'd help if I could. :/ I'm at nearly 10m sm.
Well, I decided to dust off my copy Demons Souls, so after getting back in the groove and after defeating the first boss I get invaded. I forgot to either kill myself or go offline to keep myself from being invaded. So my heart drops because I know I'll lose so I just wanna get it over with and be on my merry way. Also, keep in mind I'd just leveled up and had like zero souls. So who is my first invader? A dude with a fuckin Scraping Spear and that spell that degrades equipment.
Needless to say ALL my shit was destroyed, but at least he gave me a single Heavy Bolt before he killed me! So I'm basically fucked since I had the Fluted armor and it costs almost 4k souls to repair each piece! And with my weapons destroyed I can't kill anything in a reasonable amount of time so I can't get souls. My only reasonable option is to start over and lose an hour of progress. I'm pretty salty.

Don't think I have any characters in-range, but I CAN tell you that you passed a bonfire on your way to the Sanctum.
Dunno how you feel about spoilers, so click at your own risk.
[sp]There's a big open area, before the bridge into the sanctum- the one that the dragon blows up. Visually, it's a big, U- shaped path that goes up about two stories as you round the "U". You should see those hit-sensitive switches (the ones that move platforms n' shit) hidden about, particularly in the center of the U, there will be a decent amount of archers shooting at you as you try to cross, plus a couple of soldiers playing dead. At the top is a little building that has one of those poison-statue turtles in it with a ladder that takes you to it's roof.
Hopefully that's enough for you to find the area. Once you have, use a ranged attack to hit ALL the switches you can find- there's also a hidden one on the far side of the building I just mentioned. Once all have been hit, a bunch of platforms will have risen out in the middle of the U shape, all closely clustered together. Climb to the roof of the building I mentioned, and the platforms should provide you with a path to a bonfire. Congratulations! You can start much closer now.[/sp]
Hope that helps, if you needed it.
Just started up SOTFS and got to The tower of flame
Can't really say I'm impressed with the copy pasting.
EDIT:
Oh for fucks sakes this is just silly
yeah I don't really get it why they needed all those white knights, like im fine with a dragon but why is there like loads of the white knights?
yeah I don't really get it why they needed all those white knights, like im fine with a dragon but why is there like loads of the white knights?
Probably because they're Heide Knights and they're sitting at Heide's Tower of Flame.
Fuck me, I caved in and bought SotFS. This better be worth my $20.
yeah I don't really get it why they needed all those white knights, like im fine with a dragon but why is there like loads of the white knights?
Because they're the "Heide Knights" and you're basically in their former home-territory

As long as you don't accidentally sneeze on one of those knights you'll be all set. If you do, well...pick a divine being and start praying for forgiveness.
To be honest I am a bit disappointed.
Instead of a definitive Dark Souls 2 this feels more like Dark Souls 2: Kazio mod. I hope the later sections improve and don't have the copy paste feel to it.
At least the graphics are good this time but at $20 to upgrade for something that should have been under the season pass or be an update I am not exactly impressed.

[sp]actually once you kill dragonrider they all get up and aggro you soooo[/sp]

They're not that tough as long as you're not going through the area before anywhere else, and if you're doing that even the big guys will make you cry.
