did they change the path to the ladder man in SotFS?
I wish DS2 had gotten a second season of DLC. All the content in those was top notch.
Boss design and music especiallz.
Anyone got ideas for fun builds?
Everytime I play I just seem to steer towards one direction
Bows and throwing weapons only
Is there a list of weapons that can cast sorceries and/or miracles somewhere?
I only know about the blue sword, mace of the insolent, sorcerer twinblade and disc chime
I AFKed all night with my bellbro ring on. Woke up with 32 chunks.

pilgrim's pontoon in iron and the shield in sunken. I want to try a build using only that shield.
I can't get any blue orb invasions. As soon as I activate it it says "can't find world to invade".

You just really have to keep trying until it works, that's all you need to do.
It's sometimes the same with red orbs too.
At last, I've finally got all the requirements and gear.
Haphazard Hero is reborn.

Blue orbs are weird in both games. Wish it was as good as the red orbs since they find someone immediately. It helps to be in areas that are highlighted when you warp or heide's tower.

Yeah. . .I tried every area. Hopefully it will be better in NG+.

How far are you in the game? Iron bridge always has loads of sinners. One way you can do it is to mash the use whenever you're at a bonfire or you've just cleared out an area since it'll refill your estus if you manage to kill them.
Though I wonder has anyone here actually managed to make it to the top rank in either of the orb covenants?
From hasn't even fixed the roll punches, it's obnoxious, goddamn it.
I got to level 3 in the Knights of the Blue, but in the DX9 version
You won't find many sinners to invade in the early SM brackets, especially now that SOTFS hasn't been out for long most people will still be going through the game, most of the invasions happen at high levels, when red orbs are inexpensive to buy
Usually you want to try using the orb at least 4-5 times before changing area (blue orbs can make you invade people anywhere but you're more likely to invade if there's people nearby, cause DS2 matchmaking is funky as shit)
I love the ridiculous damage of the disc chime.
Holy christ, the Falconers at the Tseldora basecamp bonfire are bugged as fuck. Not only are their walking animations so broken it's funny, but attacking from behind during their parry stances will STILL crit, regardless of where you're positioned. I instantly get teleported to their front side to get countered despite attacking their backside. Come ON, From.
Just wanna point out that the goofy walk thing is actually something players can do too. It's the result of spamming the "hold up shield" button while walking. You have to spam it really damn fast though, but you too can do that goofy walk.
Wikidot or Fextralife?
I like wikidot, but Fextralife was updated way faster right after the release of DS2.
I usually always choose fextralife for any souls game. But I still don't understand why there'es multiple wikis when people could all contribute to one good one.

I never liked Fextralife due to the fact that they never seem to care about formatting and they never follow the simple rules when it comes to editing articles such as always writing in neutral and not inserting your opinions. Plus they get vandalized often. Oh, and their site sucks on mobile, too.
Wikidot is always so much cleaner and well-organized.
In my experience wikidot has been much more detailed about gear locations, whereas fextralife has often just done "in iron keep."
I like Fextralife because it has more pretty pictures for my tiny attention span.
So what's the verdict on the Scholars upgrade so far? It'd be $30 for me since I have DS2, never played or bought any of the DLC. Is it worth picking up or better to just wait for a bigger sale? It'll probably be like $10 eventually.

For me, getting it for the dlc made it worth it.
I sure do love how the manikins now do about twice as much damage and attack in packs of four! Also there are like 15 Alonne knights between the bonfire and the Smelter demon fight. That entire path way (huntsmans-Iron keep) has easily turned into the hardest Great soul to get for me.
Wow, the forest ghosts aren't just replacing the lions.
They're everywhere! I can't even get to the castle without having to kill like four of them.

It's really only worthwhile if you haven't gotten the DLC already, as the upgrade price is not that much more expensive than buying the Season Pass alone. Might as well get SotFS to acquire both the DLC and the new updated graphics.
However, if you already own both DS2 and the DLC, then it's not really worth the $20 upgrade price, it doesn't really add much to the experience, from what I've played through so far. This is just my opinion, though.

So I'm not the only one who noticed this. Also, is it just me or does stamina drain faster than usual now? I don't remember having such a hard time managing how I use my stamina.

I felt the same way when I played DaS1 earlier. I think it may be because Bloodborne seems to a lot more lenient with stamina and I got too use to it.

Shit that might be it, haha. I got too used to Bloodborne.

Also, just fought some dude in the arena who was level 290 while my character is only level 90 at the moment. He was so bad he had to constantly heal himself just to win. That is so embarrassing on so many levels.
How do you get up on that balcony with the corpse above Gilligan in Earthen Peak? There's no door on the floor above
