Yeah, I've been trying to farm them at Heide's Tower since there's a ton of them there now. Naturally I get a couple of spears and not the sword. :v: I haven't tried using anything to boost drop rates yet, I probably should. My Mace actually makes short work of the Iron Keep knights for the most part, 2-3 hitting them; I think it's just the sheer volume of them that can jump you at once that messes me up. I could try and go somewhere else for a bit and come back, but I think the other areas would just be even harder.
Seeing as you've chosen the way of a faith warrior, Dayman is proud of you. I recommend you getting the hat from merchant hag malentia, it will increase your item discovery aswell. Go for the Heide Knight Sword, if you upgrade it to +10, you can use it till you reach the late game. In fact, I'm still using it in NG+. If you do so, you should see to get your faith up and also utilize miracles to sustain you longer.
Having so much fun with the sanctum crossbow in the rat covenant, I hit for over 1k (dark) damage now, most people start panicking trying to figure out what's going on while I get the second shot off Used with chameleon it's hilarious, the uncloaking effect kind of obscures vision while you're charging up, so even if they see through your disguise they have a very short time to react before most of their health is gone I just love being a sneaky evil bastard with the rat covenanant, grey invaders don't lose anything if they die anyway

It'll give you a big ol' boost to drop rates. You can also try sniping the drake in Heide's Tower with a bow, he'll drop a shield that'll boost item discovery too. Just bring plenty of arrows.

It sounds like infusion scaling isn't very good in DS2 compared to the first game. I think I actually have 2 of those Covetous Snake rings, plus the shield. So I'll pick up the hat and start farming then.

And yes Ghost101, I infused it with lightning to enhance the lightning damage. I only had like 20str and 13 dex when I entered NG+ but 55 faith and was wielding multiple lightning spears and emit force stacks
Did you infuse it, or just leave it +10? It sounds like infusion scaling isn't very good in DS2 compared to the first game.
Chances are that infusing it will ramp up it's total damage, but if you have considerably more str/dex than fth, then there's a small chance it'll do less damage. Most people infuse it in order to get the maximum amount of sweet, sweet lightning damage out of it though, as lightning will bypass most defenses. In short, there's a 9/10 chance that you'll want to infuse it.
[sp] so i killed Nashandra and i am still not sure if i fully finished the game because there were alot more fogged areas on the bonfire, sadly (or not so sadly) i started NG+ and i'm not sure what to do next? [/sp]

[/sp]
If you are running Scholar of the First Sin, it's very likely you missed most or all of the DLC areas. You tend to find keys for them while exploring, and the gates to them are located at the Shrine of Winter, the Gutter primal bonfire, and the bonfire under the Iron Keep, specifically.
Holy crap, theres so much in the gutter that I completely missed now that I had to find all the torches god sotfs would have been the greatest update in history if they hadn't made you pay for it
Are the enemies in the DLC supposed to leap a whole 20 feet towards you and one shot you the second you see them? The last boss I fought was Veldstat, am I still underleveled or something?

In NG+ and i still fully explore and get all the loot that i find.
I just made it to the Gutter, I've fallen to my death many times already. :v: Just saved up to get that fall damage ring as a buffer.
Remember this Forlorn invader i asked about like a week ago? turns out he's an NPC after all that was added in SOTFS :suicide: you can read about him here under General Changes
I've killed him twice so far I think. I've also run into the Pursuer 3 times as a random enemy, killed him twice. Should I do the DLC in the order they are on the Travel menu? Or is there a better order?
OH HOLY FUCK I FOUND THE SKELETONS Jesus christ these guys can get huge. And they just get back up ;o;
I wonder if they put any wheel skeletons in here, every other enemy that showed up for a split second have been put around...
I guess the greatsword is just useless in the DLC. I've died a whole lot less using the bastard sword, so much faster, and kind of close damage.
So here's a question regarding changes in SotFS. In the revised version of the Skeleton Lords, [sp]there's only two bonewheels instead of four[/sp]. The big thing on my co-op partner's and my minds is, [sp]are there more of the bastards somewhere else now[/sp]?

That's all I am saying.
Does anyone know where the Sunset Staff is in SotFS? It's no longer in the mimic chest in Aldia's Keep.
All I can say is goddamn to this majula change "Amazing one here, after killing the Piglets in Majula about 20 times, they evolve into the big boars you find in Brightstone Cove, and then after killing them another 20 times, they evolve into a huge boar with fangs. The big boar drops 3 CrackedRedEO but then doesn't respawn back, and neither do the piglets. CoC doesn't respawn them either, however you can burn a Bonfire Ascetic to bring them back a restart the process."

Did they add new messages or something?
I can't believe they still haven't fixed this for SotfS [thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102775431/DarkSoulsII%202015-04-17%2018-48-58-15.png[/thumb] There's a particular spot at the exit of belfry sol where you can get invaded by grey spirits while standing past the fog gate
I cant believe they forgot to update the covenant to give things besides chunks
wait, wasnt that in the patch notes?
I've been invading all day and have nothing but chunks
