I've always seen that one. Thought it was friendly because it never attacks you when you walk by. But it does become hostile when you walk directly next to it. Also, I have a theory that to fix the weapon degrading issue they just halved the durability drain. When the patch is live, can anyone set their FPS to 30 to confirm or deny this?
She never attacked me and can't get ot her due to the water gap. How weird
Anyone got a spare Shadow Dagger in SotFS? I can't seem to get any of the suspicious shadows in lost bastille or no man's wharf to drop any.
She never attacked me and can't get ot her due to the water gap. How weird
You can walk along the wall she's kneeling by. There's no point though, it's essentially a bugged enemy.
[VID]http://a.pomf.se/iicxty.webm[/VID] i am not sorry [sp] webm newbie, not entirely sure why the video sped up. sorry about that [/sp]
you are a cruel cruel person
Is anyone having problems with the latest version of GeDoSaTo? Every time I die my game stops responding. I turned off the postfx and such and it made no difference
Looks like we got hackers already. That sure didn't take long. [t]http://cloud-2.steamusercontent.com/ugc/535142803682022293/1860AB64E11594FAA98645C0F1279948B6AA98AC/[/t] Started a new character and then this guy's dragon sign started showing up with him wearing end-game gear.
Hackers have been in the game since Day 1, it isn't like they introduced a new countermeasure against hacking in SOTFS. All they have to do now is just use cheat engine for this version of the game. It just sucks that I had to come across a hacker that fucking had health hacks on, turned them off, and then turned them back on after he saw i was still beating his ass.
I think Iron Keep is currently the most bullshit area for enemy placements. There's now too many and you can't single them out this time. As soon as one aggros, so does the other nearest ones and you don't get the satisfying lava dunk anymore.

I ended up permanently killing half the enemies before I started getting through that gauntlet regularly. Was it not that bad before? I can't remember since it's been awhile since I played it in regular DS2.

The other is alright though, easy enough to get a backstab in when he casts magic. First room area is okay if you pull the one at the far door out first, otherwise you just aggro'd 3 knights. And now for Fun Section #1: There is an archer on the bridge now instead of a standard guy, there is no archer on the roof around the corner. Once you get next to the bridge, 2 knights walk off the far-end platforms to rush you instead of 1 on the path, and 1 under the stairs that you can take out 1 at a time. Then of course there's still that one archer at the back that will shoot at you once you get to the stairs. Remember that 1 archer at the door and 1 archer on the roof? Well, now now there's 1 archer at the door, 1 archer at the back where the chest used to be, 2 knights on the roof (Both aggro at the same time, can't single them out), 1 new knight on the end of the bridge, and 1 new knight in the middle of the path. Also, they removed the gap on the path so all enemies can reach you unless you make a mad dash and jump to the metal stairs that had the old ember. Smelter Demon room is unchanged, Silver Pursuer still shows up Leaving the bonfire, one of the knights that rushes you on the left side of the bridge heading to the smelter room is the only thing there. Not too bad. The hanging room with 2 turtle knights is now 2 alonne knights and the 1 guy that smashes the panel. The room where you dunk the turtles is now less satisfying because it's only 1 alonne knight on it now. And when you lower it, there's an archer up top that will shoot at you making that lava bath even less satisfying (Less souls, and now a ranged enemy, total shit). There's a turtle knight on the right corner platform where an alonne knight will rush at you (Can tag team with the turtle that smashed the panel if you're not careful), a turtle knight at the far left corner panel instead of an archer (far right corner is still an archer), they moved the crystal lizard to where the lava will spill out on the left path (Such a hassle now compared to before), turtle knight by the fog door still there. Up top, the mimic chest is gone. 2 alonne knights there now and an invading NPC with Ricard's Rapier (Died too many times because of his tracking and that power attack). The 3 archers above the pit are still there, spaced out a little differently. The lava pit area before the guillotine hallway now has 2 alonne knight on the platform instead of just 1, easy enough to separate though as one won't aggro unless you're right beside him (I only entered from the top so far, this might not be true every time). And the rest is the same after the guillotine except a new fire statue on the platform before the 3rd bonfire.[/sp] TL:DR; There's a lot less breathing room compared to before, especially in the area leading to Smelter Demon all the way to the Guillotine hallway. At least 6-8 new enemies (read as: Alonne Knights).

It pissed me to no end since he aggroed the entire Iron Keep and plus we had Forlorn so we couldn't heal (and that fucker didn't return to his world). Ended up being the only summon that made him reach the bonfire but at the price of getting dunked by the red phantom turtle. The area isn't bad if you just slowly proceed (well it's never bad if you take it slowly :v: ), but do a skip run and you'll end up speedy alonne knights and greatarrows.
Edit: who put this thread in my way
So seeing as to how From are fixing the durability bug, I think I'll be picking up SotFS so I can enjoy the new enemy placements and finally do the DLC. I do have to ask however.. are miracles still nerfed to shit? A while back I think there was some issue where From reduced damage/effectiveness and number of casts for miracles. Is that still true or am I remembering wrong?

Most of the time, I only had lightning spears and great lightning spears with me (not even emit force) and it was always just enough to bring down the boss.

His summon probably would've gotten him screwed over in the end anyways since it was an AI. I didn't even know he had a summon when I hid behind the door so it was really a brainblast to use my own AIs to punish him.
The new summons are impossible to take out when you're invading. Their health is ridiculous. Man, I cant pvp worth anything. All the weapons I pick take years to swing and everyone rolls through them flawlessly. How the heck do people manage to get past 0 in BoB? (it does subtract losses right?)
What weapons are you using? Greatswords? Ultra greatswords? Greathammers?
What weapons are you using? Greatswords? Ultra greatswords? Greathammers?
first two mostly, claymore, mammoth, zwei, greatsword, fume. I've had some success switching it up with the butchers knife but I always end up eating more than I dish out. I tried using miracles on the disc chime but aside from great magic barrier and sunlight blade it didnt help much. What infusions work good for crossbows? I've gone raw for my max heavy and avelyn but they never seem that effective.
Any elements do well on crossbows but in particular dark and electricity seem to perform the best against majority of people. Concerning greatswords and axes like the butcher, I like to bait enemies if they're good dodgers, majority of the time they're going to try and roll behind you, so I turn around and use the greatsword's awesome horizontal swings and hit them with a 180. Pokers or people with high adaptability/ninja ring are another story, but i try to get to their sides with a roll or a run to try and hit them with the greatsword's reach if they're using rapiers because they can never hit you that way unless netcode is screwing you over. Against high adapt/ninja ring, shit I just really try to stay literally right in their face and swing, if you scare them enough they roll too early and get caught at the edge of the sword.
I gotta say I'm kinda disappointed in the iron king dlc, the enemies weren't a fun challenge and the area was pretty boring, I ended up getting my ass kicked a lot because there's so many rooms with like 3 enemies at once rushing you. Fume knight was cool even though I beat him first try. I have yet to fight sir alonne but the road to him is really frustrating. I'm probably gonna check out the ice dlc first.

I really liked the areas in Ivory and Sunken King though.
The sunken king dlc kicked my ass too,but it felt fair up until elana. Cheap dark magic combo spam and rng summoning, good luck killing velsdtadt while getting flame swathe'd. Sinh was ok but the fight felt really clunky. That and he flies so goddamn much.
I faired just fine
