Alright. Why do bonfire ascetic not work for the belfry gargoyles?
Respawns everything else. Hell it even made a fog door with no boss on the other end.

Are you using it on the bonfire after the gargoyles?
Are you using it on the bonfire after the gargoyles?
Nope. Did it at the bonfire after the ruin sentinels.
Gotta do the one after the gargoyles.
Well that makes no sense. Why does it respawn the fogdoor?

Gotta do the one after the gargoyles.
It would be great if DS1 multiplayer could be converted to personally-hosted servers instead, instead of Steam.
Somehow the idea of letting 3rd party to host things is unsettling. When the server is closed down, losing the ability to play on things that we worked so hard on is traumatic (Metal gear online, playstation home, ect)
Whats with From and their raging hardon for korean mmo-tier farming? I've been through belfry sol enough times to have an inv page full of bows and shields, and not a single flame swathe drop.
Did they change the loot tables of those little shits in the update?

Flame Swathe is dropped by the hulking mummy dudes with cloaks.
Flame Swathe is dropped by the hulking mummy dudes with cloaks.
i thought they dropped lingering flame?
you can just buy flame swathe from Straid
Flame Swathe is dropped by the hulking mummy dudes with cloaks.
They drop Lingering Flame. FlameSwathe is from the bell keepers as well fire whip.
But those drops are so rare...
Oh, Lingering flame. Sorry, was thinking the wrong pyromancy.
A quick survey guys, to decide which I'm getting.
I have both DS 1 and 2 on PS3, but none of the DLC's.
I want to get one for PC, but which is more worth it?
I love DS1 to death, but not so much of DS2 (the setting is meh).
But with the new additions/DLC's/remake and everything, I'm not sure which more worth it?
So, which should I get for PC?
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
or
Darks Souls 2: Scholar of the first sin?
Prepare to Die Edition gives you four great bosses, an active pvp area, vital lore and three pretty meh areas.
Scholar of the First Sin gives you three areas each as large as PtDE with varying playstyles, two great bosses and two really shitty ones, metric shittons of fashion and weapons and a generally improved Dark Souls 2. Lore stuff was in a free patch so I won't count it.
Honestly, SotFS seems like much greater value for your money.
Dark Souls 1 just because it's better honestly.
I have come to the conclusion that Fencer Sharron is total bullshit. I don't know what she wears for the rest of her armor aside from the Sanctum Tiara but there is no way she should be able to take a Katana hit without flinching. She has insane stamina and health as all phantoms do, and she's smart in dodging and shield bashing.
At least with Forlorn and Armourer Dennis, they block reliably and you can get a guard break counter on them. Trying to get Sharron to stop tracking you to get a decent attack in is a complete pain in the ass because if you don't get the backstab on the first hit, she doesn't flinch and then starts power stance hitting you, putting you in a stunlock for ~3 hits (Which would kill some people).

I just went straight on forward giving her punches untill she died
I eventually found out that if you circle her at point blank, she can't keep up with tracking you.

The only poise thing that she has is the Mad Warrior Gloves but otherwise any NPC can be stunlocked to death or trick into a force roll and eat more attacks.
Took me a while but well: Sherron wears Sanctum Tiara, Fume Sorcerer Robe, Mad Warrior Gloves\Gauntlet and Desert Sorcereress Skirt. Top tier fashion souls wooop

DS1 was one of my favorite games, and I seriously think DS2 is better in a lot of ways. DS1 was way clunkier, unbalanced, had irredeemably shitty areas/enemy placements, and overall wasn't as refined as DS2 is.
I definitely liked a lot of stuff from DS1, but the sequel improved on just about everything. Wished they kept the original lighting though.

Yeah its way too easy to kill everything
in dark souls 1 if you get a black knight weapon you're set for the entire game and NG+ cycles, especially the halberd, it's so OP
At least in DS1 the NPC invaders weren't stat boosted to hell and back, I remember / felt that weaker weapons generally had much faster swings to compensate (I was out-swung by a greatsword / great hammers using a blacksteel katana in PvP many times), enemies wouldn't pivot 360 degrees on every swing and continue spinning on spot after the attack ended (Seriously, had an enemy do a jump attack and continue spinning around while in the contact / crouching position preventing me from getting to it's back).
DS1 was brutal yet fair (Barring online PvP). DS2 is brutal and bullshit with a lot of things. It still has it's parts where you die and it's fair as in DS1 (Messed up the dodge, rolled in the wrong direction, didn't check the corners, etc) but there seems to be quite a bit of actual artificial difficulty tossed in. Not to mention the fucking collisions.

The NPC Invaders were too easy to fight.
You can see Dks1 being the only game where NPC Invaders\Human enemies were just pushovers.
Likely the only time i died was from the spamming (and yes spamming) Chaos Storm near Bed of Chaos which simply is a copy\paste Yuria from DeS.
They returned the formula of cheating enemies because it would make it a bit more challenging.
imo the DLC's are really where most of the high-points of DS2 are, and at the highest i think it might actually top DS1 in a couple ways. the fact that they ended so strongly with Ivory King makes me like the b-team way way more than everyone else seems to

Yeah, DKs1 NPCs were easier. DS2 NPCs are easy as well even with the stat boost. But then they got smart, and didn't remove the stat boost. Now it's bullshit imo.
The DLCs in Dks2 felt much better because the development team actually had time to complete these while the main game went full disaster at start.
Oh still won't forget those lance full tracking and unlimited attack and roll cancels. Whoever had a Greatshield, he was mostly screwed. Then i look up at Bloodborne and think that From stopped caring at balancing that.
will motioninjoy and better DS3 work with PS4 controllers?
[editline]25th April 2015[/editline]
oh duh it won't
Yeah, the NPC invader design choices really bug me. Your summoned NPC's never have the competency of Quicksword Rachel or Maldron. Lucatiel is just a mess all around, Benhart can tank through like 18 1/2 giants at once, Drummond is a fucking thug, Ellie needs a bit of a boost, and Glencour is a total baller.
It's too bad there aren't any areas where you can have both at once to see what'll happen.
just a heads up, motioninjoy is malware, please highly consider using ScpServer

I use a program called InputMapper, works perfectly
What does motioninjoy, as a malware, do to my PC?
