Thw amount of people who can't dodge the hadoken still baffles me.
For some reason, she decided to roll backwards from a forward moving projectile. Pretty sure she was a furry too. Absolutely disgusting.
From Firelink???? Boy why ain'tchu using the Undead Burg fire?
Firelink gives you 10 estus charges and the run is only a little longer than from the burg.
It's barely shorter if you have the aqueduct shortcut and has way more and higher level enemies.
Ooh, I never thought of this. Dunno if I'll actually need it, on the other hand, as long as Black Knight weapons are a thing.
did they finally fix the 60fps bug? im getting a 300mb patch
started to the game just to check if they had fixed the durability the bug by doubling the durability of every weapon thankfully it seems properly fixed
So I'm playing through the DS1 DLC for the first time, and uh, huh. I've only got Manus left and as of now I'm not enjoying it. I feel the DS2 dlc has spoiled me quality-wise. It also doesn't help that Artorias is a complete letdown in terms of difficulty.
What was your level/equipment? And playthrough level
What was your level/equipment? And playthrough level
Standard NG, SL 71. Great Scythe +15 and around +5 thief set. edit: Well, Manus died like a bitch. Just circle strafed and ran away when the dark shit rained down. The dlc is pretty underwhelming as a whole imo. I like Gough though.
Standard NG, SL 71. Great Scythe +15 and around +5 thief set.
the fucking great scythe was the only way I was able to beat artorias my first attempt.. I died so much

Hm. I guess you're supposed to do the DLC immediately after Ornstein and Smough? Either way, the bosses were pretty simple. I'm disappointed with Manus in particular. Even if I was overleveled, his attacks are incredibly easy to dodge. That, and Oolacile just isn't very interesting compared to most of the other areas in DS1.
Alrighty! I managed to get past the fortress of fuck, no thanks tot he countless number of boulders and snake dudes. Iron Giant was..pretty disappointing to fight since all I did was tickle his metal crotch with the lightning spear. Fuck mimics, now I'm super paranoid of treasure chests. Anyway, got abducted to Anor Londo and, just like the Iron Giant, the baddies are huge but really disappointing to fight. At this point, I'm just abusing their trigger mechanics to get hits in. Got sucked into a painting for some reason, grinded several levels to work on my intelligence because I wanna use Soul Spear. Those weird mutated guys are super annoying to deal though. Had to zap them from afar. Though I guess they're not as bad as those harpy women things..who, by the way, kept throwing themselves off cliffs because of their janky grapple move. Sometimes I'd be minding my own business and I'd grab 1000 souls out of no where. That's how silly they were. Got to the end, found the giant lady with a scythe, but I decided "fuck that I've heard shit" and got out. On the upside, I found a few neat things. Also FUCK WHEEL SKELETONS HOLY FUCK. Lost like 10 humanity because of them >:C Anyway, back in Anor Londo and sorta exploring around. Silver Knights are such punks.
I never actually really liked the actual DLC area in DaS1 that much. I mainly just like fighting Artorias and Manus. Though the Abyss is a cool area, everything else was meh to me. I REALLY wish I could just fight Artorias over and over again without having to beat half the game.
Have patch notes gone out yet on Scholar?
yep
"Fixed issue whereby actions requiring both button and stick controller input (Jump Attack, Guard Break) were not properly registering in-game." I knew something was up with those attacks.
Firelink gives you 10 estus charges
So does burg if you kindle it.
So does burg if you kindle it.
pfft, kindling
pfft, kindling
Yeah man that humanity serves a way better purpose being stockpiled in your inventory.
well i mean with pvp yeah
Would anyone believe me if I said I did the Ornstein and Smough fight in two runs? I got really lucky, but holy hell Ornstein is no joke.
Would anyone believe me if I said I did the Ornstein and Smough fight in two runs? I got really lucky, but holy hell Ornstein is no joke.
While SuperSmo' deals more damage he uses the same moves while SuperOrs' is by far the most dangerous of the two. Anyway, you are a true trooper
I found Super Ornstein to be easier imo
two runs is basically the norm unless you're a total shitter
I found Super Ornstein to be easier imo
He's definitely harder at level 11, both of them are almost guaranteed to 1 hit you but Smough is a lot slower
Has anyone else done a sl 1 playthrough? I have gotten to Gwyn but am pretty much stuck now, need to get better at parrying.
Has anyone else done a sl 1 playthrough? Gwyn should be a cakewalk if you know the parries.
SL1 run in Dark Souls 1 was actually easier than I thought, it's actually harder at the start of the game than near the end. Gwyn should be a cakewalk if you know the parries.
The problem is that I don't know them. I can only parry some attacks.
Well if you gotta learn parries, Gwyn is the person to do it on. Pretty much every move he has can be parried, and plus, something about his moves makes them feel a lot more natural to parry than other enemies, in my experience.
He's definitely harder at level 11, both of them are almost guaranteed to 1 hit you but Smough is a lot slower
yeah but his electrical butt stomp has always stomped my butt. ornstein is quick but once you get at his knees the fight is mostly over, you just gotta watch carefully for the stomp and the backstep. plus his set is way cooler
