Walked into that church and immediately had my shit handed to me.
The Drake Sword is fine but basically bail on it after the Church, you MIGHT be able to stretch it through the Depths but it's dubious. It doesn't scale, so it just keeps doing less and less to enemies the further you get and upgrading is both mostly end-game and entirely pointless next to better Dragon weapons. For the Berenike Knight, just walk forward and bait out his attack and back up, the moment he finishes his swing, lay into him.
-snip- it dropped for me
Yo could someone be kind enough to give me the white hollow mage robe, farmed the brightstone cove but it never dropped sadly. Im on PC SotFS soul memory is 294400
Join Covenant of Champions, they will respawn again supposedly.

oh god gaping dragon is so amazingly tedious to fight i can't stands it no more. i've died twice by touching his tail in the last frame of his charging animation and every time it's like ten minutes of "progress" gone. if not for bed of chaos this would probably be the least entertaining boss fight in the game tbh
grab yourself some gold pine resin and get choppin at his silly little head

I don't even bother with pine resins since he just leaves himself open for a good 5 seconds after you bait his charging attack.
how the hell am i supposed to do Ancient Dragon? i tried so many times with and without summons and we just can't do it. all of the summons died before me :(
How much fire resistance do you have? Stack on as much of that shit as you possibly can. Gyrm greatshield, Pharros mask, flash sweat, Great Magic Barrier, and Smelter armor if you can wear it. You sure as hell won't look pretty, but you won't die to his fire either. Don't forget to bring lightning since dragons are allergic to lightning.

and if you get fed up just stay directly in front of his feet whacking it, keeping him in a pattern of constant feet stomping and just going back and forth between the feet as he stomps thats how i beat the fucker
Stap as much fire defence as possible, and then some more untill you have all the fire defence. Fuck that guy.
Why not? Also need suggestions for taking on the big Heavy Knight asshole and his spell-casting friend within the Undead Parish. Walked into that church and immediately had my shit handed to me.
make sure that if you use the drake sword that you also use a second weapon that scales with your strength or dex stat (depending on which one you're building) - you don't want to wait until the last minute using the drake sword and not be familiar with the moveset of another weapon when the drake sword stops being effective
There's no point in using the Drake Sword because you can get a longsword to +5 before you even fight the gargoyles and you'll do about the same damage.
Drake sword is gross and ugly too.
the drake sword annoyed me in looks because i always thought it looked like soulbrandt
I used the Drake sword until I beat Quelaag, while being cursed :v: What have I done with my life
I used the Drake sword until I beat Quelaag, while being cursed :v: What have I done with my life
Waste it, apparently.
Used a Drake Sword to kill Ornstein & Smough a long time ago when I was playing at a friend's house. Sad or an achievement, it's up to you.
there's a delay because you didn't turn on Disable Double Clicking in the options [editline]26th May 2015[/editline] it turns itself off when you close the game for some reason so remember to always turn it back on
I replayed dark souls 2 again after replaying dark souls 1. The controls are so sluggish in dks2 compared to dks1. There is also a big delay on mouse click attacks. It made it extremely hard to play. Is there a DS2fix somewhere?
I really hate the deadzone that exists in DS2. Takes an hour or something to get used to after playing any other souls game. You can disable it with a mod but then you can't walk, jogging is as slow as it gets.
I personally like the gameplay of Dark Souls 2 better than 1. I almost wish they'd remastered 1 on 2's engine rather than re-doing 2, that would've been amazing but then again it would've been basically making the game from scratch so I understand why they didn't. The controls and overall feel of 2 just strike me as way more refined. Don't get me wrong, Dark Souls is an amazing game, but it feels really unpolished to me. Maybe it's the port.
A part of me wishes adaptability didn't exist. And the two handed sword move sets are usually just wank, it's little wonder there are so many dex weapon users. And i don't know about you but i've had a lot more face-backstabs in DkS2 than DkS1.
Yeah I've had much more frontstabbing in DS1

Nothing has weight, you move like you're ice skating, and most of the weapons feel very unsatisfying to swing. I mostly use heavier, slower weapons in these games so the comparison is very noticeable to me. That said, I'm pretty sure it all comes down to personal preference. I've seen people call DS1 super clunky and DS2 smooth, and I've also seen people with my point of view saying DS1 is weighty and satisfying while DS2 is floaty and weightless. Either way they're both fun games :v:
