I did, he clearly "cares" about the human, because he changed after his fight. But not enough to be friends with them
It annoys me when people call Toriel a moomin.
So I've decided to call her goat mom.
It annoys me that people keep calling Goat Mom a Moomin
So I've decided to call her "Toriel"
Jesus christ, the first run of mine was a disaster. I feel like a fucking monster. I have to try again, and I have started a new run which I hope can be as pacifistic as possible. I must ask, though, can the game TRULY be completed without a single fatality, or are there spots, or a spot where Sparing is not an option? Just answer yes or no, not who has to die.
Lots of potentially spoilery experiences from my first run follow.
[sp]Ignorant of the ability to repeatedly use white colored Spare option to abandon fighting in that scene, I had to Fight Toriel to pass, as in my perspective, getting to surface came first and casualties only came if I did not see any other options at the time. For the rest of the playthrough, I regretted that decision and her death haunted me, made even worse By Flowie taunting me about it the moment I went through the door.
It's goddamn harrowing to try call her and then hear "but nobody came". A grim reminder that death is temporary and actions have consequences. Later, fighting the fish lady ended similarly, with no yellow prompt to Spare her, so she had to perish as well.
Super Flowey was legitimately terrifying to fight, I have to think real hard to remember anything that could top that level of nightmarishness. The ending felt bittersweet when I then realized that despite the vicious amounts of determination shown throughout the game, my perceived personal good may have done far more harm than I ever wanted to do.[/sp]
Games like these make you think. If presented with a convoluted, but pacifistic option to ending a conflict, would you go out your way to do that? Or would you simply carve a simple path with your weapons with sights only on your own goal?
i started to call her a moomin instead.
I think she'd still prefer Goatmom over Moomin :v:

I'm silently biding my time until I can change mine back. The revolution will be televised.

Title thread. [sp]Nobody[/sp] has to die.

In Germany, mumu is another word for pussy.
Puts "nice muu-muu" into a completely different context.

[sp]And God Flowey to some extent[/sp]

Yes, yes you can. The key is sometimes thinking outside the box, unlearn your standard RPG instincts. Treat every monster, and every boss, as a puzzle to solve rather than a foe to destroy. Sometimes you need to be persistent, sometimes you need to [sp]run away[/sp], other times you need to [sp]impress the viewers[/sp], and so-on.
Oh, and remember to stop by and greet your friends some time. That can help when you're gunning for True Pacifist.
Oh, general reminder. If Sparing monsters might end up with you being murdered, you can always Flee. Any monsters you spared, you'll run away and still earn any gold from the spared. Sometimes being stubbornly pacifist can be moidah.
Neutral Ending spoilsies:
[sp]I've been wondering, if you lose against Flowey in the neutral ending, does he actually delete your save file like he says? I'm pretty sure he doesn't as it's a pretty hard boss all things considered and a lot of people wouldn't be able to get it first try I think so I'm assuming that something else happens if you die, but I'm not entirely sure what because I managed to kill him on my first go. I hope whatever dialogue I missed wasn't too good because I absolutely adored that boss fight.[/sp]
Also I just realized that the bed that Papyrus has is almost exactly the same as the one that I had until I was twelve. That sounds nearly impossible, but I swear, same color, same general shape, same saying "I'm going to drive it around someday" because who really wouldn't say that about their car bed, it's so bizarre.

[sp]He just says "Did you really think I'd be satisfied with killing you only once?" and it reloads your save. You can't lose.[/sp]

[sp]If you die, the game over screen comes up but Flowey laughs at you and closes the game. After starting the game again he says he wants to kill you again. He never deletes your save.[/sp]

[sp]If you die, the game over screen will close your game. Restarting it will rename the game FloweyQuest and replace the Toriel image into a different monster with the text, "Long ago there existed two races, HUMANS and MONSTERS. One day that all disappeared forever." By then the game fake crashes and FloweyQuest becomes random letters spamming at light speed. It closes again. Booting it up once more has Flowey mocking you, saying, "You really think I'd be satisfied after killing just ONCE?" (That number changes for every time you die, I think up to 10). Then the fight resumes where Flowey last saved.[/sp]
[sp]Technically no. If you do the Undyne/ True Lab subplot after Mettaton but before reaching Asgore you won't fight him and go straight to the Asriel revival cutscene, though you aren't told to do that until you get regular-paci plus you miss out on possibly the best series of events in the game.
At least I think that's how it works.[/sp]
[sp]you cannot go to the true lab in any case your first run. Asgore is the first monster who dies no matter what. :c[/sp]

[sp]You have to have fought Omega Flowey once before you can do the extra True-Pacifist steps.[/sp]
[sp]It's weird how you can literally never get a true pacifist run on the first try, but I suppose you need the context of the New Home and the final battle(s) after it to understand the history.[/sp]
Just commissioned a guy to make a sculpture of Papyrus.
It's the same guy that made this: [T]http://41.media.tumblr.com/fc53eb3a06111db116852c94d93bd856/tumblr_nkws2lURhM1qdx3k2o4_1280.jpg[/T]

I haven't actually, I figured it would've have really been seen if I did. That and I thought the guy that made it might have already done so.
