So I'm playing through for the first time, and I'm at the Asgore fight. Is there no way to complete a pacifist run on the first try? It would be kind of heartbreaking if I actually had to fight him. Although I guess that's the point.

If you have spared every other NPC, then you can give it a try.

Sometimes you just have to FIGHT even if you don't want to. [sp]I guess that is how Asgore sees it too huh[/sp]

My friend and I made butterscotch cinnamon pie. That's cinnamon whipped cream on top, but it melted because the pie was so hot.

The twitch thing I think is just trying to see [sp]if it ever hits some kind of limit like 9999999 rather than to find any special dialogue[/sp]
Toby probably didn't limit it, considering it's reached one million now. If the variable for that is a signed int, which it probably is, the natural limit will be 2147483647. Which needless to say won't be reached any time soon.

I forgot where the timer starts at, but in any case, considering how it wouldn't need to go to the negatives, it'd probably be unsigned (4,294,967,295), so doubled.
Then again, I'm worse than a novice at programming so it could be signed for reasons I'm not thinking of?

Apparently game maker only uses signed 32-bit floats, so this is the max value.

there's plenty of cases that I'd only want a number to go to 255 to not waste memory, and here's game maker, allowing only signed 32-bit floats

This is why most game devs avoid game maker. :v: For me the interface just makes it too painful to use.
Honestly, it's astounding that Toby managed to make something this large and professional in game maker.

it does a really good job at making simple games very efficiently though, it's much more straightforward in many cases than unity, for example

i've already seen joel play through it twice, and even if i hadn't, i'd probably ragequit after having to redo a bossfight - i can't stand not progressing/having to start over in games. i have become the defenition of casual
