Hey guys, i am trying to do the genocide ending.
[sp]I killed every enemy i encountered and i killed toriel and i guess napstablook. But how do i know i killed them all and that the game will continue with the genocide route?[/sp]
Save points should just say "Determination." or when you reach a new area they should show how many encounters are left.
[editline]a[/editline]
actually scratch that if you see either of these things restart the game and mercy everything

[sp]It has to say "But nobody came." before you head to Toriel. The game will then recognize that you want a genocide run and the flavor text changes as a result.[/sp]

Can we just post this every page from now on
On my first playthrough, are there any tips on [sp]beating muffet?[/sp] the wiki says I just have to survive but her attacks are really hard to dodge and I have to do it 17 times! I burn through all my health items before I can get through it

do you still have a spider donut or spider cider? can end the fight right away if you do. OR if you really want, you could grind for gold and buy a donut from Muffet before the fight and also skip the battle lol. But that would take ages.
after the 3rd pet attack the fight is over. just recognize the signs and heal up before each pet attack, and get used to the other attack patterns. go buy hot dogs from sans, as well.
I shouldn't of looked up the Genocide path and [sp]the soulless ending for the Pacifist path[/sp] last night, had trouble sleeping.

Do you still have any baked goods from the RUINS?
...It's taken me this long to notice the pun with B&C.
[sp]Bratty and Catty, the two who run a shop down the alley, are an alley cat and an alley-gator.[/sp]
Is there any really high resolution art around yet? I have a high quality printer + paper I'm itching to use for some high-res undertale art.
The higher the resolution the better.
I'm not exactly sure what to do now. I chose to not kill [sp]Asgore[/sp] and now everything has gone to shit. [sp]Flowey has erased my save and is effectively unbeatable, so does that mean that I wasted 6 hours of time?[/sp]

r u sure he's unbeatable
r u sure he's unbeatable
Yeah, I live pretty much instantly upon exiting the game. I even get a chance.
better learn to touhou noob

[sp]Keep at it. The fight sort of secretly checkpoints your progress as you go along, so the whole idea is that you're just too determined to give up no matter how hopeless it may seem against Omega Flowey.[/sp]
Yeah, I die pretty much instantly upon starting the game. I don't even get a chance.
then you're doing something wrong.

I thought he was unbeatable at first but though sheer Determination I came out on top.

This is all just a bad dream.
[sp]And it is beatable.[/sp]

[sp]He's definitely beatable.[/sp]
I know it sounds cheesy as fuck, but STAY DETERMINED.
[sp]I've never played a bullet hell game in my life, and I managed to get past him. My advice? Stick to the bottom of the screen and try to avoid the major attacks (flamethrowers, attacks with patterns), and don't really give a shit about the projectile spam attacks (stars, bombs).[/sp]
Just hold out, and you'll eventually get past it.

toby you clever fuck
Well I feel like an idiot.
[sp]The weird symbols old man turtle found were right next to him the whole time. It's just the general shape Asriel takes as well as the odd formation found on the monster royalty and doors. I honestly thought it was something else. Now I feel stupid for thinking it was something else entirely instead of looking around a little more.[/sp]
Ah well, here's to hoping hard mode will actually be a thing.

if you think that's tough you haven't had mr bones wild ride yet
[editline]20th October 2015[/editline]
man, the only way you're gonna get the ultimate mindfuck in this game is through the genocide route
it continues to fuck with you, over and over and over

I would change that to a link if I were you, in case there's still people who haven't seen genocide yet. it's most effective when a person first sees it for themself during an actual run of the game.
I was watching Barry and Ross play through the [sp]Mettaton kitchen show.
Apparently, if you return to the kitchen after the jetpack segment, Flowey makes a split-second appearance.[/sp]

That's not isolated there. Reach the end of any area and then backtrack.
[sp]Flowey's been following you all game long.[/sp]

good point sorry didn't know that

that's the second one I know of, [sp]the other being going backwards after Toriel gives you the cell phone[/sp] I wonder how many others are there?

well shit
So I just beat [sp]Asgore for what will be a neutral ending run. Only took three tries.[/sp] Time for the pain to begin.
[editline]20th October 2015[/editline]
[sp]Okay so I know what others were referring to. This is basically pure luck as to whether you survive even the first phase because of how much of a goddamn clusterfuck it is, I can avoid some things but projectiles are everywhere.[/sp]
[editline]20th October 2015[/editline]
Huh. Just like with [sp]Asgore[/sp] this asshole only took me three tries to beat.
I just sort of zoned in and survived the brunt of horseshit really.
