Maybe you and Deacon should stop hanging out in the glowing sea. He isn't looking to good.
Alright, point taken, im a fan of Dean Domino and maybe It does not traslate too well (even tough Dean was bald, but they look weird without anything covering their head).
Is there any chance of anyone backporting the new quick loot menu to fallout 3 or nv? I'd imagine it would be quite difficult with the engine changes.
Not as good as mine. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fBhDDe1.png[/t] [sp]Skullcock? or maybe Hand Face?[/sp]
Cockface
Very few times have I ever felt legitimately mean in a Fallout game when I'm not trying to be. I just made my way through a raider camp, and instead of killing the last few melee guys, I crippled their legs and kept smacking them with the butt of my rifle to keep them on the ground as I looted their things and their allies' corpses right in front of them. Then I executed them with a shotgun one by one. I didn't realize how fucked up what I did was until like a minute after, then I was like "WOW what is wrong with me"
If you wanna feel even worse get the Intimidation perk and start executing your POWs at the end of every battle Really wish I had thought to take some videos of my horrible war crimes against the Gunners...
Help, I too have been bit by the settlement developing bug. Why aren't working streetlights vanilla?
If you wanna feel even worse get the Intimidation perk and start executing your POWs at the end of every battle Really wish I had thought to take some videos of my horrible war crimes against the Gunners...
I know exactly what you mean. I am sent to clear out a warehouse and end up shooting only like two people, the rest surrender. The quest doesn't activate so I am forced to make them play hunger games while I sit back and laugh. The winner wins a .44 bullet.
So I'm a bit torn on how I want to do my next playthrough. I'm torn between making the character into Spike Spiegel for a slightly stealthier style, Space Dandy for low intelligence and high luck shenanigans, or Mr. Torgue for explosions, melee, and balls-a-blazing (no sneaking). Also open to suggestions. Rate Winner for Spike, Funny for Dandy, Zing for Torgue, or Optimistic for something else.
So I'm back at New Vegas and I installed a bunch of mods that make the game look better/fix shit My only gripe with it now is the third person animations, is there any mod that make them look less like wank?
i don't think so no one ever really bothered with third person animations and the engine is crap for them
Is there any chance of anyone backporting the new quick loot menu to fallout 3 or nv? Has anyone else noticed you can actually find Deacon before you meet him? Like I saw him twice around Goodneighbor, once in the Memory Den in a pod (during a main quest so that might be a sure-fire way to see him) and once at K-L-E-O's shop. His name just said "Settler" though.

Deacon can also be spotted in Bunker Hill, his dialog for when you try speaking to him are great.

I've seen some pretty acceptable looking gameplay at lowest settings running in some weak rigs, but does anyone here play on like a wicked shitty laptop? Downloading it right now but I've only got 2 gigs of ram, some shit Intel 1.3 dual core and onboard graphics. Videos I've seen have had similarly piss poor builds running at like 20-25 fps which is fine enough for singleplayer. Honestly lowest settings still doesn't look too shabby either, I mean with beth games I care more about the gameplay than the looks anyhow

Has anyone heard anything about when the mod tools will come out?

Got the whole Paper's Please setup at the gate.
your hangman's alley really gives that concentration camp point of view do you have any interior pictures?
Has anyone heard anything about when the mod tools will come out?
no news yet :(
PSA reminder: having "cl on" instead of "cl off" gives everybody a disgusting glow when they stand in the dark which makes the models look even uglier than they already are [t]http://i.imgur.com/xt7vPeQ.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/64BFRKb.png[/t] Looks better in darker areas when people don't have this unnatural gross glow on them

Will take more pics tomorrow.
great place for a bar, i have somewhat of an imagination when it comes to building there, but it gets ruined when the shitty AI navigation ends up placing settlers on top of buildings because they cant climb a flight of stairs or go around a building or something.
I wish there was a simpler way to convert all the junk into just the crafting materials than dumping them on the floor and scrapping them.
I wish there was a simpler way to convert all the junk into just the crafting materials than dumping them on the floor and scrapping them.
just store them in the crafting table and they'll be turned to materials automatically when you need them?
I wish there was a simpler way to convert all the junk into just the crafting materials than dumping them on the floor and scrapping them.
Don't the junk turn into crafting materials automatically when you craft something which requires them?
I know you can turn off screen space reflections, but not environment maps as far as I know. The "wetness" effect is something different, it basically just modifies the gloss value of everything, which isn't really how "wetness" should be done, or rather it's just a crude approximation. Anyways, what I was referring to though is this: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/dGBjAU.jpg[/t] PBR is supposed to use a dynamic reflection probe to cast reflections. A secondary camera captures a low-res, low-detail equirectangular reflection map of the area immediately surrounding the player's camera, then the game's shaders use that image as the environment map (ie: their reflections). Fallout 4, on the other hand, just uses a single canned reflection environment that's always the same regardless of where you are, which is a really, really shitty way to do it, and is utterly counter-intuitive to the entire principle of a PBR shading system, which is generally where objects actually cast reflections of their immediate surroundings. The entire point of PBR is a means of visual quality-control by having a shading system that behaves in a predictable, unified and automatic manner. All the objects in the scene use the same reflection probe and you get 100% consistency in the lighting and shading in every scene. If you just manually assign a unique canned reflection to each individual object in the game, that's the exact opposite of consistency and automation, it's utterly counter-intuitive to the entire point of PBR rendering, which is to have predictable and plausible shading that responds to it's surroundings. So for clarification, I was saying that this is going to be really problematic for DLCs and mods that take place in areas other than the commonwealth, because we'll still be seeing that exact same reflection even if we're standing in the middle of a snow-covered anchorage. It'll look really weird and jarring.
PBR does not specify a method of rendering. It is a specification of light transport for a single bounce. Anything else is a separate extension of that theory to maintain the conservation of energy across every bounce for a given rendering setup. Also, cubemaps come in many forms, not just the mapping you link. And a small note about the marmoset thing, they're using importance sampling for their environment maps which isn't yet feasible for realtime. Reflection probes are typically not updated in realtime for this very reason. Atm they blend between static, artist placed probes. This is gonna change very soon though. Just a few notes on this post, not that it's wrong for saying a single cubemap is terrible and breaks the notion of PBR.
