TBH I really hope the include a lot of options with the "voice selection" for robots that they mentioned, I really want to use Captain Iron-side's voice, USS Constitution has got to be my favorite side quest of the game.

We better get to upgrade Codsworth and Curie. They need legs.
We better get to upgrade Codsworth and Curie. They need legs.
It's unlikely Curie will get anything given her main quest involves her[sp] becoming a Synth, which nets her some legs[/sp]
I want a mister handy with assaultron heads for eyes.
I just want to put more hats on Codsworth really.
I hope that Ironsides from the U.S.S Constitution can be a baddie with that new DLC. A robotic pirate with a sweet hat might make me sink a few more hours into the game.
I can see them making that pretty much broken Mr.Handy on the U.S.S Constitution a special robot companion you can fix and customize.
how would you guys feel about low-stakes Facepunch settlement build contests? just little themed challenges like, "Build the shantiest shantytown at the Murkwater Construction Site," or, "Make the best-looking junk castle at [x]" or things like, "Transform Sanctuary into the most brutal Raider fortress," and, "Use Institute objects and furnishings to recreate an Aperture Science testing chamber." We'd cast votes for the winner in this thread. i'm thinking it could be a fun way to get some more replayability out of one of Fallout 4's more addictive gameplay systems.
What about try this but for the first, lets try and make custom settlements by spawning in workshops at places of our own desire. Most creative use of the area through design and defensability should be criteria. Extra points if you don't use godmode to build it. Anyone down for this? I wanted to leave it in my settlement, but while I could ignore the fact it stops working, I hate how it turns completely charred and black. Would've been neat if they gave it some purpose after you were done with it.
Are there any mods for free settlement building?

Anyone down for this?
I'm not a fan of this idea tbh because I don't want half the challenge of the contest to be about finding the most screenshot-friendly plot of land in the game to build a settlement on. But the easy solution to this problem would just be to have different challenges with different criteria.
the moment you can create a protectron with sentry bot wheels it'll roll up the hill with a rocket launcher on one hand and a gatling laser on another "protect and serve" edit; holy fuck its real
[thumb]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/e/e7/Protect0Bot.png/revision/latest?cb=20101110211254[/thumb] Protect-O-Bot here to serve
Are there any mods for free settlement building?
TGM makes it think you have 999 of every resource, if that's what you mean. (funny enough, this does mean you'll need to turn off TGM for the market stalls - it counts you as having 999 caps, and they need more than that) You won't gain experience if you build with godmode on, but that seems good for balance.

I hope they make robots modder-friendly. I might actually learn how to texture so I can make custom robot shit.
wouldn't it be cool if you could make a gen-1 synth that you stick in a suit of Power Armor, it'd give you something to do with all those suits of power armor and the gen1 really doesn't have any combat abilities on its own or at least have the ability to teleport in a gen-1 synth tell it to get in a suit of PA, and teleport it back to base, so you don't have to carry suits back each time
Every time I see "general performance fixes" or similar in patch updates I get a ray of hope only for it to come crashing down when I still can't switch weapons without opening my pip-boy and waiting 10 seconds after hitting the hotkey for it.
My secret wish is for the ability to have the pip boy work like looting does. Real-time and with as little annoying pauses as possible.
Yo guys geck release in April. https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/473mrl/todd_howard_gives_more_information_on_fallout_4/
Two questions. What is GECK exactly? And is there something I can do about floating walls? I want to build a wall around my settlements but chances are it's not leveled so I end up with floating walls.

It looks like the official name is gonna be Creation Kit again, but people use GECK anyways. [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline]
Yo guys geck release in April.
Survival Mode; 'We’re doing things like you can’t save, it only saves your game when you sleep. You can’t fast travel. There’re all of these diseases. 'We want the combat to feel different, as opposed to just being a bullet sponge.'
If they're staying true to this word, hype. Basic needs is all I ever wanted out of survival mode but a different feel to the combat, where enemies cease to be bullet sponges? That would save me a lot of time on modding. Disable fast travel, and suddenly managing multiple settlements becomes really important to making sure you don't need to hike over half the map to save. Then again, I'm the dirtiest savescummer you can imagine, so this is gonna be an interesting adjustment to me.
