Well Skyrim did it, I believe the guards would sometimes say something about you "looking ill" but I only really see the generic voice actors mentioning it if they do reimplement something like that because it's entirely dependent on who they can get back.
I hope with these new diseases that people actually have reactions to them. Like Diamond City guards say you look pale/ill or your companions notice it too. I can imagine Curie could probably be good for that.
Some Diamond City guard goes:"Hey you're leaking shit water everywhere, get that checked out man."

I forgot to say this when the game first came out, but some of the explosion sound effects are extremely similar to Half-Life 2's explosion sounds. I guess Bethesda gets their sounds from the same stock sounds website as Valve.

God knows there hasn't been a video game using those for a while :v:
Was there not somebody here who was working on recreating the Red Rocket Garage from the trailer? Would be super nice to hear how progress is going.
Was there not somebody here who was working on recreating the Red Rocket Garage from the trailer? Would be super nice to hear how progress is going.
last we heard there was no collision meshes as you wouldn't be able to make those without the GECK
The greenish tinge in the Glowing Sea looks like it's more than just a color overlay. The Glowing Sea is basically what the Capital Wasteland should've been, except even more desolate.
It boils down to Bethesda improving their art direction a bit more with every game. The gap in quality between 3 and 4 is as drastic as the gap between Oblivion and Skyrim.
honestly, the entire thing that fallout 3 looked "constantly" green is a bit overrated because most of the time the game doesn't even look green, especially not megaton itself, and especially not as green as that obviously oversaturated picture. most of the time the game is actually a mix of brown and related colors (like grey) and sometimes a bit green-y, like downtown D.C (though that's mixed with some blue too). it's mostly really depends on the time of the day and what location on what color it is. [t]https://threepartstheory.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/2011-10-09_00019.jpg[/t] [t]http://ic.tweakimg.net/ext/i/1225977343.jpg[/t] [t]http://cdn.segmentnext.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/fallout-3-megaton.jpg[/t] it's a really unpopular opinion, but i really like fallout 3's artstyle and graphical look, it's pretty atmospheric and fitting to the capital wasteland imo.
I really liked the art-style the first time around, and when I look back on screenshots they always look neat. I think the issue is that when you are actually playing the game it can get a bit dull, I find that if you spend an hour crawling around the dc ruins you will end up being sick of the colour green, even if it's on a subconscious level.
last we heard there was no collision meshes as you wouldn't be able to make those without the GECK
Assuming we're talking about the same thing, I'm pretty sure it's more down to the guy not knowing that much about models, and the models they used not coming with collision by default. It probably wouldn't be that hard for someone to fix it if they knew how that sort of stuff works, and if the model plugins and such are far enough along for it. It's definitely not got anything to do with the official mod tools, though.
I almost have a hard time believing F4 an F3 had the same art director. I feel like Istvan must have been told to do the whole grey/brown/radioactive green thing by the higher-ups. It's hard to actually hear him say anything positive about F3's artwork in any of the F4 devlopment interviews, that, or he just looked back at it and deiced he didn't like his choice.
Odd question but change I change my character's sex with the console without making some awkward inconsistencies? (IE: Characters referring to you as the opposite sex because that's how you started the game. [sp]I don't want Shaun to call my dude mom[/sp]) I wanna totally redesign my character, but don't want to go through the whole intro and the redo everything I've done up until then.

Even Toriyama's has undergone a noticeable evolution.
Can... can you trick the game into making the SS and their spouse a gay couple? :v:
I think you can do that simply with player.sexchange or whatever when the game begins.
DC was boring honestly, i just hated having to go on the metro, it was boring there was nothing and i hated it. Seems ridiculous but i had to cheat my ways for many quest in the game the first time i played, i was going round every single time just when i wanted to get to galaxy news radio..
Exploring the ruins of Boston is waaaaaay better than exploring the DC ruins. Passing a kidney stone is better than exploring the DC ruins.
DC ruins had a bit more intrigue for me as a person who's actually regularly been to DC.
I thought DC ruins were just fine, although i was wondering why it was even as good shape as it was. But now since i've seen Boston it suddenly hit me. DC did get absolutely wrecked by the bombs in comparison to Boston. Easier to get around in boston yeah, because it didn't get fucked as badly take that in mind.
I actually sort of liked the DC metros, was cool to see that one where The Family lived, made me wish there was a settlement like that in fallout 4.

Have you seen what happened to boston? Only one explosions was enough to destroy the city, are you saying that there have been more than one in DC? Look at that radius.
Didn't the DC area get hit by a large number of individual, smaller bombs? I remember something about the number of craters being over a dozen at least, and that's just the ones you can actually visit.
I think it makes sense that the area with the USA's leadership would get tag-teamed by giant fuckbots the hardest. Boston is in pretty good condition, actually, considering how devastating nukes are even at that range.
Also I'm kind of impressed by the apparent direct hit on the White House by a hostile nuke. You'd think the White House and Capitol Building would be the highest priority for missile defense systems like the ones House used to protect Vegas.

The thing is I'm not sure China had enough nukes for that.
It makes sense that they'd use a single high-yield in areas of lower concern, and pepper higher value targets with a hail of low-yield. The former is better for radiation distribution and complete elimination of key sites, while the latter is intended to thoroughly erase a large area. Massachusetts was hit by the former, which is why the further you go from the single crater, the better condition everything is still in, but DC got swiss cheesed by the latter, leaving it entirely devastated as far as the eye can see.
As a news article you can find in the Boston Bugle offices tells us, the President was already off on the Poseidon platform well before the bombs dropped.
