Actually a lot of people complained that Skyrim doesn't have moments where you're acknowledged as the dragonborn.
The main quest ruined my hopes for being a dead beat dad since half the time the dialogue makes the character whine about Shaun. That and the lack of hookers.
I mean I remember being part of that divison of people who felt like they didn't feel respected as a dragonborne but I understand.
I guess to get an even ground have them give you freedom to embrace the role or not. Skyirm I feel like have you freedom to still be the dragoborne or not, it's just they times they acknowledge your statues, they just didn't execute it well enough. In 4 it feels like they wanna remind you you have a wife and kid every chance they get.
The one thing I think would of helped is if you could of hated your family too. In 3 you can tell people your dad was a dick for leaving or just in general but 4 the only change you can do that is with father and that's when you meet him before that he's still someone you love greatly and you have no say in it
Sorry for the errors too BTW. On mobile here
I hope the next Bethesda Fallout takes place in Chicago. The Chicago Stock Exchange seems like the perfect place to visit in a Fallout game.

What's a Chicago?
Jokes aside Chicago would be pretty good.
I wonder if, in the right time frame you could make a reference to Eddy
but fallout tactics already took place in... chicago?
jk i never liked tactics anyway, so they might as well reboot the shitfest that happened there to make tactics completely non canon.
The funny thing about Tactics and 4 is that 4 managed to retroactively make the stupid power armour designs of Tactics somewhat explainable. "What's the chain for? It's for hooking it up to a power armour station, duh."

Damn, I didn't even think of that.
I'm going to put Mama Murphy's chair in a deathclaw arena the instant that dlc comes out, mark my words.
The dog.
Fallout 5 will be about dogmeat.
Because of dogmeat's integral role to the plot, you cannot remove them from the companion slot until it is over. To reflect this, half of the available perks will be for dogmeat.
Dog themed dlc

I don't really see that as incompatible with what he's saying, and in fact, looks a bit like the problem I had with the player character practically never talking about pre-war stuff or cryosleep or anything. There's dozens of opportunities where you could say something, even just small tidbits, about being from before the war, recognizing old ruined things, remarking on how different life is, etc. and with the exception of a handful of instances of stuff like "What, are you old or something?" "Yeah, I'm older than I look" there's next to nothing. Like having a dragonborn player character, it's an interesting premise whose potential is wasted.
Boy, this game really has it out for me.

I ended up dying and was greeted with this when I loaded my save.

Yeah, but then you'd have even more people whining about having a role forced upon the player character.
Doesn't seem to be any winning when it comes to this kind of thing.
So DDProductions did it again

Some of the random enemies are ridiculous
Like one game I couldnt go down this one road without waking up a mirelerk Queen and about a million spawns and bloodbugs, then the next time I did that road there was nothing

Now I'm waiting for a CQC mod.
Man I wish the female road leathers looked like the F1/2 leather jacket.
Road leathers are one of the coolest looking male garments, pure road warrior, but the female one is like some sort of wonky shoulder-padded edgelord costume
It's kind of a redesign of the merc adventurer outfit, actually.
Would definitely have liked having the mad max inspired leather jacket somewhere though.

I'm sure Fallout 5 will be about finding another family member.
Fallout 5: The Search For Gramps
Years of fallout and elder scrolls mod use have ruined me
I look at the gun mods people are coming out with for Fallout 4, and outside of the Anti-Mat rifle and the M16 I honestly think they all look pretty terrible, the texture quality sticks out like a sore thumb
If you ignore the main quest in Fallout 3 or 4 you will have pretty much nothing to do.
That honestly depends on what your definition of "nothing" is:

249 hours on one character, and one of those 3 MQ's was because of meeting Valentine, the game auto-completes one of the MQ's even if you haven't been to diamond city yet, even though you haven't a damn clue who he is yet, the game still places you right on track as if you came to retrieve him.
Also there are three stats that don't have anything filled even though I know for damn sure that I should have something there. Times killed, levels survived, and days survived. Are those three only tracked on hardcore, or were they recently added?
but fallout tactics already took place in... chicago?
jk i personally never liked tactics anyway, so imo they might as well reboot the shitfest that happened there to make tactics completely non canon.
The cool part about tactics for me is that I'm from the central Illinois area and almost all of the locations you visit in the game I've been to in real life. I'm sure residents of D.C, Boston, and Vegas would probably feel the same way about their corresponding games though.

The plot will revolve around the enemy faction killing your dog and you getting revenge.
A post apocalyptic John Wick game.

I don't think anyone in Vegas cared or liked their gimped representation in NV
The (few) people of Goodsprings, though...
It was probably the first time a post apocalyptic game supposed to represent the world gone to shit boosted tourist revenues
I may have missed it, but is there any information on when the survival mode will be released into beta? Time frame?
A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths.
Watch as the young woman in Far Harbor will be Nora somehow, like if [sp]Shaun took some of Nora's DNA from her body and made her into a synth, only for her to escape to Maine before the PC wakes up from cryosleep.[/sp]
It'd be so dumb but it seems like it would be such a Bethesda thing

You find a very confused Nate in a dress. He got bad advice from Dogmeat.

I don't get why it's "such a bethesda thing", they've made some questionable story decisions but never anything that pants-on-head stupid, at least for the main quest
