So I [sp]refused to join the institute[/sp] siding with the BoS and [sp]Father kicked me out for good[/sp] but now I don't have any other quests, and talking to the named BoS members doesn't do anything. Did something break or is this a wierd oversight on Bethesda's part? [editline]7th March 2016[/editline] Yeah my game fucked up, can anyone tell me what the next quest I should be getting is called? I looked on the wiki but isn't obvious which one it is
How did you get the synth hand to show with that outfit ?
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9952/? This mod adds a customisable version with lots of options, although for some reason it clips with lots of outfits that the original uniform would be fine with (the battle coat in my screenshot for example)
I took this screenshot in Dec for some reason, never looked at it since, and just now noticed the fucking skull in the shadows behind him. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/313369601195523525/7F59202D56E9B067714C723361FEBC12E5A1D11F/[/t] That's fucking terrifying. If you want to know where I took it, it's in one of the houses in Sanctuary, not sure which one but there's a bathtub right there.
Of all of Bethesda's contributions to the lore of Fallout, the Wasteland Survival Guide is my favorite. It's nice that the only good quest of Fallout 3 has some legacy to it.
Are you joking here?! There's so many good quests in Fallout 3 that It's not even funny. Blood Ties, Agatha's Song, Reilly's Rangers, and The Replicated Man just to name a few. Looking back at it, every quest in Fallout 3 was pretty amazing.
If you turn over the android in Replicated Man you get bad karma. Just saying.
If you turn over the android in Replicated Man you get bad karma. Just saying.
But in Fallout 3, you don't know much about the institute rather than they make humans and force them into slavery so of course you'd get bad karma.
I fucking hate shotguns, I'm at point blank range with the combat shotgun, all the pellets hit, yet it's taking me like 3 - 4 shots to kill a Triggerman. It also does 90 Damage.
Get a better receiver?
Did you do the network scanner as you first entered the institute
Yeah, I did all of that.
So I [sp]refused to join the institute[/sp] siding with the BoS and [sp]Father kicked me out for good[/sp] but now I don't have any other quests, and talking to the named BoS members doesn't do anything. I looked on the wiki but isn't obvious which one it is
This happened to me too, after telling [sp]father to fuck off and defending the castle from the institute[/sp]now Haylen and Rhys won't talk to me. As weird as it sounds I want their radiant quests :frown:
I guess when that happens hope you have a recent save file to load or time to join the Minutemen.
Yeah, I did all of that.
Well you can trigger the nuclear option by retrieving the chip from whoever you gave it to and bringing it to one of the other factions but maybe theres some brotherhood quests that need done or something that you are missing
I know this is just example of this modders UI but still did he have to make it look like this? [t]http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/10654-3-1457246860.jpg[/t] Reminds me of that parody UI picture with a ton of garbage on the screen.
I actually liked that HUD and installed it today. :pudge:

Fallout 3 had relatively few quests that were rather long winded and would have you walk over long distances whereas New Vegas was more about shorter quests that could usually be completed within a single location but came in larger quantities. Which I guess is closer to how quests worked in Fallout 1 and 2, you'd rarely have to travel across the map to complete a mission if it wasn't tied to the MQ somehow.
I honestly can't understand how anyone can find stuff like Blood Ties "amazing" but maybe that's just me
Get a better receiver?
I'm using the Powerful Receiver, the only other one after this that doesn't lower damage due to the auto shit, is the Advanced Receiver.
Which is a better choice in terms of characterization Minutemen + Instute or Minutemen + Railroad?
Which is a better choice in terms of characterization Minutemen + Instute or Minutemen + Railroad?
I tried to side with Institute and I just can't. I hate them so fucking much. They've brought antipathy in videogames to whole new level for me.
Minutemen + Railroad even if I personally think overall, the Railroad are pansies, like I don't mind their ideals, but they just seem like total faggots when it comes to a proper goal.
If you turn over the android in Replicated Man you get bad karma. Just saying.
My Lone Wanderer backstabbed everyone on that quest Promised to help the android, for his rifle, turned him over for the implant, then murdered the Institute rep.
Problem is that the Fallout series seem to have a minor disconnect in each sequel. I assume Bethesda and Obisidian don't put in killable characters from the previous games into the sequel because their fates are usually left ambiguous (dunno what was with that Moira Brown entry about the Lone Wanderer's fate in that game guide). Having her return would raise a few eyebrows since she could be killed.
Fallout often has clear canon endings for characters, unlike TES. Bethesda seems to be sticking to that (off the top of my head, Zimmer is still alive, even though you could kill him in Fallout 3 and lots of people probably did), so there's nothing stopping her from showing up. Plus, I'd say her book managing to make it as far as New Vegas is evidence that Moira is still around. I think the Fallout 3 epilogue diary entry is non-canon, though. edit: ok actually it's unclear if zimmer is still alive, but fallout still generally has canon endings i just can't think of an example from bethesda fallout
Junkie's Rolling Pin, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!111 And I have the 2nd perk of Chem Resistant, so Junkie anything is fucking useless, even more so than that shit usually is anyway.
Well we know the Brotherhood in FO4 managed to recruit [sp]Doctor Li at some point.[/sp] They also reestablished contact with the West Coast division. Elder Lyons died and Sarah took over, but then she died in Combat. I'm just reading what it says heere http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brotherhood_of_Steel_(East_Coast)#History
Do we have dates for the upcoming DLC yet?, if they have already been posted i totally missed them.
Do we have dates for the upcoming DLC yet?, if they have already been posted i totally missed them.
Not specific dates, just months. Autromotron this month, Wasteland Workshop in April, Far Harbor in May [editline]8th March 2016[/editline] I actually can't wait for Far Harbor. The idea ticks so many boxes for me. There's something about creepy coastal landscapes and villages I just adore. Stuff like innsmouth or even just beached shipwrecks. It helps I'm living in coastal Maine and grew up on the coast of RI too.
fo1 and fo2, especially fo2, had many sidequests that weren't related to mq. there's lots of stuff you can do and keep you occupied without even touching the mq (though keep an eye on those remaining days in fo1)
That's not what I said though. I said the side quests were mostly tied to the location you'd find them in, and you'd rarely have to step out into other locations to complete them. It was a conscious design decision made because it'd be fucking bullshit to have to go through the world map several times to finish a minor side quest, whereas a game like fallout 3 allows you to actually get out and explore, so the quests are more oriented towards actually getting out and exploring.
