I wish there was a way to fix Danse's behavior after doing the Railroad ending, he's just sitting there in my Red Rocket being useless
Can I ask what the status of Project Brazil is? been a while and when I beat the bit where you leave the vault, not alot happened afterward.
They're working on part 2 afaik, getting close to finishing it up. Also, they're overhauling the starting vault as well. [Fallout: Project Brazil] State of the Mod for January Part 1 EDIT: Ninja'd
Gotta love how the "radiant" settlement attacks just throw anything resembling "balance" out the window. Its kind of messed up when a group of Raider Power Armor MK II wearing Missile Launcher using Raiders show up at attack a place for a single water pump and 4 Corn Stalks. Raiders may be known for using dirty tactics and Raider Power Armor may be the lowest tier, but its still excessive. I'm half expecting to get a defend mission and find Raiders using Vertibirds and a Raider Liberty Prime equivalent to get at a single melon patch.
So, I accidentally missed out on ballistic weave. How do I forcibly enable it?
... And do what, exactly? It's still not letting me mod supposedly eligible clothing. Do I have to be at a special armor workbench somewhere? I entered those commands in console and took a greaser jacket, road leathers and casual outfit (all eligible according to the wiki) to my workbench. None of them appear in the options when I use it.
Are there any mods that add music from Diamond City Radio into new vegas?
I entered those commands in console and took a greaser jacket, road leathers and casual outfit (all eligible according to the wiki) to my workbench. None of them appear in the options when I use it.
I'm not sure since I didn't have to use commands to get it so I don't know firsthand But I've read that you can force it to be enabled that way, another way would be this but my guess is that you didn't side with the Railroad or something of the likes
Due to the dialog flag setting, it is possible to miss the chance of learning this mod. Drummer Boy will keep telling you Tinker Tom wanted to see you but Tinker Tom won't initiate the corresponding dialogue. Console command SetStage 5BC93 260 will fix this.
Doing that doesn't do anything either. Tinker Tom still just barters, and speaking to PAM at all triggers a different string of missions entirely.
so here's a thing that happened that I thought was cool but there's some spoilers so here we go [sp]when I was sent by the brotherhood to kill the railroad leaders I obviously went in there with a minigun and power armor, after they were all dead I went over to P.A.M. to reprogram her and stuff then after that was done I stepped out of my power armor to collect some things then suddenly something started shooting at me right at the entrance was little old Deacon with his tiny pipe pistol I didn't see him at any time during the fight, he just showed up and thought he could make one last stand for the railroad, with the saddest most defeated look on his face of course I killed him, I had to, but ;~;[/sp] [editline]24th January 2016[/editline]
Doing that doesn't do anything either.
I want to go back to west coast Fallout. Fuck, I really want a Wild West Fallout.
I believe Obsidian pitched Fallout New Vegas 2 to Bethesda and Todd said he showed interest in it I don't remember where I read that though it was like an article or something
Wouldn't porting NV over to 4 be pointless anyway since it's not really a game about shooting stuff so the improvements on the shooting mechanics would be marginal at best
Just because shooting things isn't always the one and only solution to every quest doesn't mean the game wasn't still about shooting things lmao. One of the key features people loved about NV was that nobody was ~essential~ to the plot, you could totally murder everyone in the wasteland if you wanted. Every quest in new vegas can be completed (or failed) by the courier just deciding to kill everyone, it's just that unlike 4 that's not the only solution to every quest.

The improvement brought over by better combat would be marginal in a game like New Vegas in relation to the effort required to port the whole game in, especially considering the heavy modifications that would need to be brought to dialogue to fit in the current framework along with the absence of skills which means all of the skill check dialogue would have to be altered substantially. That's a lot of work to get better guns.

I noticed that Deacon wasn't there in the headquarters.[/sp] [sp]I checked the map and he was on the other side of Boston, at the Atom Cats garage.[/sp] [sp]It was one long chase just to kill Deacon. I fast traveled to the spot and he moved to another part of Boston. I eventually got into a Vertibird, headed towards his location, and forced landed near him. He was fighting a bunch of mutants with a pipe pistol, so I waited until he was downed. I emerged from the shadows, said to him "End of the Line!", and shot him in the head with the Railway Rifle.[/sp]
Dangerous Minds Quest [sp]My dad's quest glitches out and he can't talk to Amari. Advancing the quest stage doesn't give the next quest, The Glowing Sea, nor does using set stage to start the quest and has no manual saves before it[/sp]

You'd have to redo all the assets from New Vegas to fit the Falout 4 art direction, and that alone would take years because there's a lot of shit to do and having several people work on it means there would be some issues with consistency. The way cells are loaded in Fallout 4 is drastically different and porting New Vegas would require a complete realigning of everything. Making previously indoors areas now part of the outdoor cells would make that even more difficult since you'd have to account for the differences in scale. Also the issue of perks that would not necessarily fit in the chart, every character in the game requiring a brand new face, the reinclusion of things such as skills and DT (which would be quite resource intensive on the game since that'd require a lot of additional scripts, prone to save bloating issues), etc. Sounds like it'd outright take less time for Obsidian to release a new fallout game entirely than bother trying to bring New Vegas over to the engine. [editline]24th January 2016[/editline] And there's no "dynamic weather systems" in Fallout 4. It's separate weathers that function the same way they functioned in 3 and New Vegas and Oblivion and Skyrim, except they're better designed. As for power armor, considering the sheer rarity of them in New Vegas I feel like that wouldn't exactly be a worthwhile improvement.
new vegas wouldn't be worth remaking in fallout 4 imo can you imagine trying to rework new vegas's dialogue into 4? how much would you need to wrangle and break the dialogue wheel in order to make that work? new vegas works best in its slightly buggy state on its pretty buggy engine, because it's in all honesty pretty ambitious in some of its c-rpg inspired features it works in, and you'd lose so much of that trying to port it into 4 that you'd lose more of the game than you'd gain by having it in the better graphics engine in a perfect ideal world id love to see a super pretty new vegas, but i would hate to see a gimped new vegas even more.
Never heard of skyblivion or Skywind? People love remaking shit in newer engines. Daggerxl and openmw are other examples. If someone really likes a game, they are willing to work pretty hard on it. No need for you to talk about all the challenges of it, I think they already know about them.
Skywind is a different beast entirely, because it recreates the whole game on a far more advanced engine, and that includes remaking all the assets with the team's own art direction.
New Vegas would look fine with a retexture (easing up on the grit and deep normals) and new dynamic light entities added in FO4's engine. The first part is undoubtedly the hardest, but there are a little over a dozen full texture packs for the game. It isn't unreasonable to think one could be created to fit with FO4's style, and used to texture the world and its contents when importing the mapcells over. With that done, it might look like something out of New Vegas' first teaser.
if we're still sharing our deacon stories I went in and [sp]eliminated the railroad members for the brotherhood[/sp] and went back to my settlement to store all the new gear i found. As I was scrapping some shitty guns, I heard my sentry turrets start going batshit. I went to the roof and all I saw was poor little Deacon get pulverized by 30+ turrets

Otherwise it would look kind of like those Minecraft texture packs that are literally just photos pasted onto cubes.

Is there a mod yet that lets you send your companions back to their original locations?
Is there a mod yet that lets you send your companions back to their original locations?
It's weird because some of the companion's dismissal lines, like Strong's, imply that they were originally supposed to go back to where you found them
Or at the very least a console command. I know that if you cancel out of the menu to send them to a settlement, they'll go back to their original location, but that only works if you haven't sent them to a settlement before, and I already have.
