Is there one for Piper or Hancock[sp]if you go along with the Institute?[/sp]
I know Nick has one. But after the conversation he acts like nothing happened. I think Piper has something like that as well.
Poor guy

I've also had Cait try to teach synths their new purpose in life, art

Speaking of companions
[Ending spoilers]
[sp]After completing the quest where you have to face McDonough for being a synth with Piper, she bugged and I can't find her anywhere[/sp]
ok main story and brotherhood spoilers but
[sp]I was really disappointed that when Kellogg spoke out of Valentine that it was never brought up again. I would have loved a scene or mission where you had to fight Nick or hack him in order to get Kellogg out, with different endings depending on whether you kill or hack Nick, kinda like Paladin Danse's personal quest.[/sp]
I have a feeling it was another thing that got cut.
Or is going to be addressed in DLC seeing as how he is essential no matter what, even if he leaves you from pissing him off too much, even postgame.
Is there one for Piper or Hancock[sp]if you go along with the Institute?[/sp]
Sorta but not really [sp]Piper just gives you shit at the end if you save the institute, I don't think Hancock says anything at all[/sp]
Also, delivering [sp]institute orders to Mayor MacDonough incurs her wrath, I believe, though I don't know if she expressly says anything about it other than the "Piper hated that" indication.[/sp]
There's a technical issue with the PBR shading, it's not impossible to work around but every texture in the entire game would need to have somebody decompose/recompose the textures, and create new gloss maps, for every single texture. Would be a very long and boring job.
I gotta say, id love for new vegas to be re-made in fallout 4's engine.
The courier is probably one of my favourite protagonists in gaming, there was just something great about the dialogue in new vegas- it always seemed to have the option to say exactly what i wanted to say, or handle things exactly how i wanted to handle them. it's rare to find a character in a video game that genuinely feels like you .
Fallout 4 may not be the best looking game but the visuals can be stunning at times.

Seeing the vague shape of the Mirelurk queen lurking in the distance was pretty eerie yet amazing.
And I appreciate how they didn't just put some fire effects on the wreck of the Prydwen and actually worked a lot on it.

I DOES look like you took down a giant blimp. So satisfying.

it's a shame that even with Fo4's improved combat you don't get many really badass moments like in New Vegas. you don't get anything like pickpocketing Benny's own gun and shooting him with it, or locking Elijah in the vault and still getting all the gold, or telling Caesar you're gonna paint a tent with his guts and Boone making a cool one-liner when you shoot him
you're just generic fighting man
how much fuckin lamer can you get
Yesterday i was thinking that, since i didn't start any of the DLC for New Vegas, i should start with one. At level 8. With the mod Vicious Wastes.
And guess which one i started? Old World Blues.
Big fucking mistake.

Was going to say this, porting FO4 assets to NV or vice versa wouldn't be as simple as people think it is. PBR isn't exactly new anymore but I can still only think of a few games that have fully utilised it.
You'd be better just redoing it all from scratch, which, as people have pointed out, would take a decent chunk of time. It's not impossible, but I would say it'd be wasted effort trying to port assets back and forth.

I managed to shoot kellogg with his own gun, that was pretty cool.
However, I killed Caesar by taking all of my chems then punching a dog up the ass with the two-step-goodbye so hard that it flew onto his lap and exploded in his face before he could stand up. Boone's one liner kinda got swallowed up in the chaos for me.

Some of the aggressive/sarcastic lines are pretty good and screaming on top of your lungs when taking chems is always amazing.
Since we're on the topic of cool looking environmental effects (please excuse the HUD)

This was before i got my new GPU as well so its actually low settings.

Valentine looks photoshopped in

[sp]I thought that was just Valentine fucking with you for shits and giggles.[/sp]
[sp]I thought that was just Valentine fucking with you for shits and giggles.[/sp]
[sp]No it's very clearly Kellog, with just the way Valentine acts like he's been taken over but doesn't actually know what just happened to him, he doesn't even attempt to assert that the problem was just a joke, he very clearly lost control in that moment, it's brief and fleeting and a total waste of a good plot point but it's totally what's left of Kellog that took over Valentines speech.[/sp]
[sp]Plus pulling a "joke" like that is a little sick, not Valentines style at all[/sp]
or that the sarcastic option is not sarcastic at all just really angry
i was really disappointed, i thought he'd make a dumb joke or something
or that the sarcastic option is not sarcastic at all just really angry

isn't the "sarcastic" option just drunkenly slurring "YOU WANNA GO FOR ROUND 2 MADDERFUCKER I'M READY LET'S GO"
sounds like your character should be taking their shirt off and flexing
yeah it was :S
yeah it was :S
and then your character just stands completely deathly still while they're suddenly shouting their lungs out and making weird angry >:O facial expressions
it's so bizarre and unsettling
Faneuil Hall ?
It's the Garden Terrace
and then your character just stands completely deathly still while they're suddenly shouting their lungs out and making weird angry >:O facial expressions

Plus the sudden emotional switch from the "sarcastic" comment "ROUND 2 GUNNA BASH YER EDD IN MATE" to the other sarcastic comment which again isn't fucking sarcastic "oh was that just a prank bro?" is just jarring as hell.
Seriously, it's just terrible, almost hilarious in how bad it is. - Main quest spoilers
tbh I already completely forgot about that entire sequence.
The lack of clarity on the "SARCASTIC" option is fucking garbage.
I mean seriously, it's worse than "big stupid jellyfish" and "[GLASS HIM]" combined.
More then likely to expand the player base by showing people stuff they are already familiar with.
I'm less mad about the dialogue wheel (mass effect did it right imo), but the lack of skill tests beside charisma is really dumb. Some perks should have opened up new dialogue options too.

I think Skyrim took care of that.
[editline]24th January 2016[/editline]
In any case, an Obsidian Fallout'll probably fix the dialogue wheel problem.
Probably by removing it.
