For those of you who are trivia nerds, was there any history of a collaborative marketing campaign between Vault-Tec and Nuka-Cola? i was given a shirt recently that i think was fanmade, and it's got the Vault Boy but with a black and red outfit holding a Nuka-Cola, and text reading, 'Ice Cold Nuka Cola Sold Here.' i'm almost positive though that the designer didn't totally know what they were doing, because it also says, 'ONLY $1.00,' and with the ridiculous inflation in 2277 that can't be right, no?

Does it look cool though? That's more important really.
No, no collaborative campaign, so it's not a lore friendly shirt I guess. Does it look cool though? That's more important really.
It does! Don't get me wrong, i love it, the look alone far outvalues any trivial 'lore unfriendliness.' This is the one [t]http://i.imgur.com/xIeLyVU.png[/t] i found out that the designer is from Italy, which might explain it a little. One of his other designs made me laugh only because i know the name of the particular weapon was lost in translation: [t]http://i.imgur.com/EnKYI32.png[/t]
I literally never used the backup radio in New Vegas, or the flare gun and other such backup items in Fallout 4. They're just gadgets that I never found very useful, mostly because I could typically deal with the situation myself.
They're actually kind of helpful in a minimal kill stealth playthrough, because they basically let you summon a big loud distraction so you can sneak past the enemy while they're busy. At least the backup radio was. Haven't tried the flaregun but from what I hear it's literally useless in a lot of the map.
The vertibird summoning grenades are a godsend on a no fast travel playthrough.
synth relay grenades are pretty useful distractions too, since they're instant and pretty much everybody is hostile to them
I miss how sneak killing used to be. I just can't kill anyone anymore without everyone knowing it was me. Maybe it's only me annoyed by this. But if I am at max sneak with a steathboy. No one should know I am the killer.
i sort of wish the flare gun could have been used for offensive purposes
I miss how sneak killing used to be. I just can't kill anyone anymore without everyone knowing it was me.
There's perks to boost the damage of suppressed weapons, you need to invest to be a stealth master.

Well. In 3 and NV you can silence kill (I think also backstab) without everyone turning cautious. But I try to sneak kill in Diamond City, I can get the sneak kill but everyone still goes hostile.

Maybe I am just doing it wrong. :v:
fyi enemies can shoot at you without detecting you, sorta. Enemies that are searching for you will randomly shoot in the direction they last heard you from (not at you - they keep shooting there if you move away quietly), which is actually pretty cool, especially compared to Skyrim's searching system of "walk in a predictable path looking at things for a little bit and head in the direction of where you heard an arrow LAND for some reason". Also I'm pretty sure if you kill someone undetected, their allies will still become hostile sometimes. Shouldn't be an issue with melees and silenced weapons.
IIRC the way it works is that against hostiles a stealth kill will not get you noticed as long as you're far enough (even with a loud gun) but in settlements any kill will instantly mark you hostile, stealth or not. However attacking and murdering someone indoors with a melee weapon would have no repercussions. Firearms would alert the outside though.
Oh yeah for those that don't already know, the guy doing all the awesome armour from the past games released his NCR Ranger Armour in Alpha on the Nexus to download.
Seems kinda dumb I can't just post Minutemen to the settlements. or that I have 25 turrets surrounding a settlement, but somehow someone gets captured or I have to defend it
Turn settlement into Fort Knox and it's still overrun by 2 raiders.

I'll add the modder's page to the popular mod list soon, since millenia's also in.
Huge being an understatement.
There's also the fact cells don't even function the same way anymore, supposedly don't have the same shape, and the game handles a ton of shit very differently in the bowels. Remaking new vegas is not just a matter of remaking a couple of models and bringing them over. Skywind's been in the making for like five years and it ain't even done yet. It's more likely we'll get a new obsidian made fallout game first, which would kill the need for a NV port for pretty much everybody.
who said that's a remodel? also, it clearly doesn't need to be much more complicated to get the job done, now does it?
You're acting like a guy adding a checkered pattern on a suit means remaking New Vegas an accessible task somehow
You know. I'll be contempt if they just bring back Yes-Man and make a pure independent faction with him, bring back skills and traits, the old perk system, weapons and alternate ammo. I know remaking New Vegas is a hard task. But I have some optimism that at least some people will attempt it. If not just bring over some of the stuff that made New Vegas great.
We get it Ganerumo, you don't like New Vegas and you don't want it remaked. No one is forcing you to play it if it ever gets made.
We get it Ganerumo, you don't like New Vegas and you don't want it remaked. No one is forcing you to play it if it ever gets made.
Literally nothing I said was close to this [editline]26th January 2016[/editline] Rudy can keep going with his wishful thinking but a mediocre retexture of an ingame model doesn't mean we're any closer to a remake, or that a remake would be easy.
Literally nothing I said was close to this
Your post context history is what people in the business call "obvious". Given how modding FO4 is set up and Sole Survivor's literally closed loop, the likelihood of remakes is actually higher than normal quests appearing unless they're completely separate from the core elements. So unless Dark0ne actually starts paying people to mod FO4 under the table (I wouldn't put it past him), it's pretty clear already the modding scene for FO4 is going to be considerably smaller than Skyrim's.
Ganerumo is right that New Vegas will be hard to remake. Just look at tale of two wastelands. That is not even done yet and the engine/assets are not that big of a jump. Lots of new modeling and texture work needs to be done. And think off all the scripts that need to be made. Is it possible? Yes it is. But how many people would be willing to put in all the work.
