The deeper I get into the minutemen, the more I realize how flawed the settlements really are. They are a SHIT ton of management just to keep them from complaining, at first it's easy, but as numbers rise, it get's tougher. On the upside I did get a legendary trader and clothing person so I can have the cool colonel outfit, I got [sp]cannons[/sp] for three of my settlements too, but on the downside they're slow and shit :v:. 1. The flare's arbitrary range is garbage, just lemme throw a flare where I want to to call [sp]artillery[/sp] from a distance where the enemy can't see me, Not until they can see the whites of my eyes. 2. I'm expecting a short BOOM BA BOOM BOOM BOOM, rapid landing like other games. But no, they actually have to each turn at the target zone, then fire their salvos, then slowly take a moment each to fire, instead of targeting at once, and firing at once. 3. I was in the shower thinking, and then a fucking stupid shower thought hit me. Why not fucking use anything that can cause explosive damage that isn't a thing you need people, and materials, and doing a questline to craft, only to find you only have enough spare settlers for one-two only instead of 3-4 for a decent barrage. Plus that Radio Freedom always says it's done, but it keeps going for a short while. God Damn Beth, I'm only playing Minutemen to get the super good ending, then it's two more playthroughs, One where I'm pure Brotherhood "purge the wasteland of the unclean filth for the emperor" of Steel, and Sneeki Breeki with the Railroad. Then I'm gonna go back to New Vegas.
I personally dont think sparing the railroad, minutemen and the brotherhood of steel is the 'good' ending. You just allow their war/feud to continue. Peace isnt negotiated

I still enjoy Fallout 4, been playing for an entire month now, but I still await Obsidian to announce their own Fallout again.
That's a good idea for a mod, if you eat too much uncooked food, you start to get some kind of illness, kind of like addictions. [editline]2nd February 2016[/editline] You get diarrhea, and your movement speed is cut by 1/3
-10 charisma
you know, i'd love to see the concept of "bad" luck more depthier used in a future fallout game or perhaps as a mod. like most of the time, your luck in luck based situation are based upon how high your luck stat is, but what if there were other situations where it's based upon how low your luck is. like, with a luck of 1 you're far more highly likely to get ambushed by a group of raiders or something than someone with a luck of 8, or diseases (which i also would love to see more of more depthy in the future) that would trigger more likely in certain situations the lower your luck is, all that kind of stuff.
Taken to it's absolute extreme: that one ricochet perk reversed, so now at low luck levels you have a small chance to have one of your bullets bounce back and kill you instantly. I don't know whether this would be more hilarious or infuriating.
Honestly I don't understand the complaints about the story being relatively linear. Because a game has freedom of movement and action does not mean that the story should automatically be allowed to move in all possible directions all the time. A constructed story, regardless of how well written the actual story is, can only move in a certain general direction or else it turns into a fucking mess. And yes, that does include the "logical directions" that people are talking about. Being able to turn heels and join a raider gang or to kill the leader of a faction and take their place or to foster a nonsensical magical peace treaty that solves the entire conflict requires more than just a couple lines of dialogue, it requires a complete rewriting of a third of the story line.

Or would bad luck be a negative number? Or a Jinx Dog? I'm not saying going off and joining the raiders should be possible (though it totally should, that'd be awesome), I'm saying we should have some choice in things other than which gun to shoot. The Master always has to die. How he dies, well, that makes the story your own (and your particular build relevant.)

Just saying, it might take a while. Skyrim took 4 months for it's Creation Kit to come out due to the Workshop.

I really do wonder what the first GECK mod will actually be.. we joke about nudey mods and the like but i honestly don't think it will be, that'll surely be a couple of days work to implement all that stuff in...

Also, the updated version of Dogtooth's NCR gear and his Enclave armors, probably.

Saw this on the Store Page for American Truck Simulator “It feels more like Fallout than Fallout 4 does” Rock, Paper, Shotgun [editline]2nd February 2016[/editline] Here is the entire quote
3) It feels more like Fallout than Fallout 4 does Obviously there’s no shooting and looting, but when you’re in Nevada, that sense of travel of across an idealised, unpopulated America is far more potent than in Fallout 3 or 4. The empty-beautiful desert environments, the giant, cheesy roadside signs, the adorably unironic doughnut shops, the gradual shift from natural wasteland to hick towns to big cities, the space. The journey. Hey, there’s even a little roleplaying: taking on jobs, earning experience points to spend on bonuses like more efficient fuel consumption or being allowed to carry hazardous goods, and the eventual creation of a trucking empire. I’ll take that over doing odd-jobs for the Minutemen any day.

people who are claiming they have no framedrops and constant 60 fps whatsoever on high to maxed out settings are a bunch of liars anyway.
I have a feeling that people who say they run 60 fps constant just run around Sanctuary for 10 minutes and call it a "test". They should try inner city Boston.
I have a feeling that people who say they run 60 fps constant just run around Sanctuary for 10 minutes and call it a "test". That and I just blew an 8 gig ram stick last night somehow, so I'm probably gonna be slower than this now :v: [editline]2nd February 2016[/editline]
How'd I do?
Lighter brown hair, and it's spot on.
