Actualy wait [t]http://puu.sh/n11Z7/04598fd01d.jpg[/t] There is normal mapping, it's just the disgusting amount of phong (or whatever it's called in this engine) completely kills it

Are there any mods that remove that annoying ass green overlay on items when I'm crafting? I'm trying to paint my power armors and all I see is green, green, green over the individual pieces...
VTFEdit is NOT a good normal map generator :speechless:

holy shit just keep the vanilla one at that point
it's actually the shitty normal map that makes the armor look puffy instead of... well... like armor it might look sort-of better??? if he used the default normal instead??? and also didn't make the specular completely white like I see that a lot and I don't get it at all there's a certain way you have to mod normal maps and specular maps, you actually have to decompile them using some Nvidia tool, because photoshop completely fucks how they're supposed to work
Ayy, it's a .55 Boys. Also the JDJ makes me think of Dildos.
With how big it is, you could probably use it as one.
Any news on the dlc front, or am I a dumbass for buying the season pass?
Any news on the dlc front, or am I a dumbass for buying the season pass?
No news yet. We'll likely know more either when the geck comes out or at E3 2016 in June. Still not a bad idea to get the season pass considering DLC will be necessary for mods anyway.
I wonder if Bethesda is going to have some check to see if you've bought the DLC or not now, because I imagine the fact that you could just download the DLC from somewhere and it's treated like a mod has cost them some sales.

The fact the games have extensive modding with close to no actual quality or content check since workshop is completely optional shows that they probably don't try to maximize sales to that extent.
Theres no way they aren't aware a majority of players steal the dlc I mean aside from me, why wouldn't I pay for muh horse armor
Having a bit of trouble with Homemaker. Since the Pre-War house isn't nav-meshed for Curie to co-habit, I picked the brick set to make my player house out of. But stairs and ladders don't fit where the doorframe is when snapping to the foundation.
I'd stay away from the brick and the warehouse set. The floors are fine and so's the roof set to an extent, but the brick walls are poorly put in and have snapping issues and when put together, becomes somewhat of a nightmare to place flooring and roofs. Though an hour of console commands and I'm sure you'll get it right.
Just searched up the bullet for it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/pjxMo.jpg[/t] Holy shit.
Holy fuck it IS a 20MM. It literally uses 20MM Vulcan as it's parent case, then it's shortened down. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.950_JDJ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M61_Vulcan I knew it looked familiar when I was looking at my lone 20mm shell casing my brother gave me when he came off a deployment from the Nimitz.

Besides, they're still shooting for the paid mods thing, which would make up for any losses from piracy and then some if they manage to get it to work
You'd think they would've learned that paid mods are going to be a horrible mess of shoddy attribution and clones no matter how many times they go "wait, it's good now, we promise" There isn't any way they could do it that wouldn't be a breeding ground for multi-party lawsuits, unless they curate each one individually and end up with only 100-something on offer, and by that point, why bother? Just hire a bunch of skilled community content creators to make a new DLC.
