i wonder if someone will do a mod which rips out the voiced protag and replaces it with some pieced together dialogue.... i mean i really really want to be able to ask vault tech's doctor if that is a cryopod before i go in and have an awkward answer....i mean the whole giant cryogenic tank above it is a bit of a dead giveaway
I don't think they expected the occupants to be thinking exactly straight while knowing that their planet was being burned to cinders above them.
still like other fallout games have allowed you to ask stupid questions
I wanna be the most badass motherfucker in the commonwealth Is there a mod that lets me combine legendary weapons I have 2 10mm pistols, one does 50% more limb damage and one does 50% more damage against humans They would have to be the same gun so it's a simple mod though Why not both?

I don't know, not a complete thought but just something I was thinking about.

So I'm trying for a modded Minutemen play again. Gotta say it's great to try settlements with no more red space. So far I'm having a better time just by playing the settlement game slowly. I tried to expand my stuff a little bit in Sanctuary rather than keeping it all close to the workshop house. I ended up having my markets on the cul-de-sac. Until the weather mod I added made me realize it didn't looks right. But really it was seeing all my settlers crowd towards the food/bar stand and just chilling next to each other in the rain while eating noodles. That was when inspiration struck me! I BUILT A PUB! [t]http://i.imgur.com/8iapzA4.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/umXTE2s.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/xs2R4OF.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/I7u1Hk3.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/X8LKrCa.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/xcdvDls.jpg[/t] And then I made a Market Hall for the other shops! [t]http://i.imgur.com/ntUxVhY.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/xEMlGD5.jpg[/t] An outside place to relax. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Ga5QadY.jpg[/t] Overall I'm proud and happy to give the settlement system a second chance. Still needs the GECK to come out for a more complete overhaul in my opinion, but it's working out for me now.
I could've sworn they said Fallout 4 wasn't going to have any paid mods.
At they time they were interviewed about it, they said they weren't currently thinking about it, which still leaves the door open.
seconds before my computer actually exploded equivalent to that of the bombs used in The Great War
Wait, seriously? Like, a "boom" hardware failure?
Wait, seriously? Like, a "boom" hardware failure?
No not really, but my computer froze for a good 30 minutes before I could do anything. my screen resolution kept changing and steam's overlay kept popping up even if I wasn't in the game; it'd just be black with steam's overlay at 800x600 even though my screen's 1920x1200

Spectacle Island is almost instant-crash worthy for me now. I can't fast travel to it at all, I need to swim over otherwise it crashes. If I wait there, it crashes. Trying to use any of the crafting stations causes it to crash. Going anywhere near my power armor supply is just out of the question. This is all topped off with a pleasantly consistent 5 fps with clear weather. Did I mention I have nearly 80 settlers? I wanted 100 but the game is freaking out enough as it is. I basically say good bye to any companions I accidentally send there
Wait, seriously? Like, a "boom" hardware failure?
That happened to me once. Tried running crysis 2 at max settings with a brand new GPU but the same shitty old power supply. The power unit straight up exploded.

So I like to re-furnish the Survivor's pre-war house into a comfortable player home [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/548680779271536843/255DFAFF3BFF52CABCFF7C8F72FC5E44997D3AB8/[/t] That's usually how it ends up looking whenever I play [editline]adsf[/editline] Now that I think about it where the hell did Nora's law degree go, it just kind of vanishes after the intro maybe some jackalope looted it and is pretending they're a post-war lawyer or something
I prefer the degree being gone, it helps me forget that the character I'm playing whose an uncharismatic idiot brute somehow got through law school.
I know some dumb motherfuckers IRL who somehow managed to get a degree. You can have a law degree and be uncharismatic as well - law degrees aren't just good for being a lawyer and being a lawyer doesn't mean you have innate charisma. The only mention of Nora's exact use of the degree is unreliable because it's done by a dysfunctional robot. And if you still don't like that, brain damage caused by 200 years in a freezer can always explain how she got dumber once out of the vault.
Y'all remember that one army dude in Fallout 2 who left a cryochamber and once he exerted any amount of movement he collapsed into goo? I forget if that was cut and re-added by mods but idk how Bethesda overlooked that. [editline]asdf[/editline] nope it was part of the normal game

I doubt anyone was planning Cryogenics as the backstory for the main character in a future Fallout. Unless it's just more nitpicking to say "I HATE FALLOUT 4". Because I'm seeing that alot.

I'm not bashing fallout 4, that's just the first thing I think of when it comes to cryogenics in fallout, mostly because it was such a memorable moment to me

Where I want to just send a paper letter to Bethesda letting them know everything I think about Fallout 4, and how it would just be good to let someone else work on Fallout, and just let them keep and publish the IP. Todd is the last likeable AAA dev in an industry filled with cringy adults trying to meme their way to likability, or corporate robots that will drag some has-been sports star I've never seen before just to promote another sports game. Even Valve, once the mighty herald of good gaming, is just a slog of laziness and money making, fully letting Half Life's corpse to rot in a closet, and getting another closet ready for Team Fortress 2, a game I've loved, adored, and put the most hours of gaming into since 2008! Now it's just a slowly dying game of 24/7 2fort and Dustbowl, trading servers and other gimmick servers, and even using CS:GO's crate system to make more money. Not to mention Steam is just a bloated mess with Greenlight and Early Access being the worst parts of it. I probably just de-railed the thread to all hell, but I guess I got all of that out of me. I just want to love video games, I just wish I had more power to tell someone when something is a bad idea, I want to see them as the fun-loving places of awesome I saw as a young child.
what does all of that has to do with him pointing something out about cryofreezing lore from a previous game in the series?? also, i don't know where you look, but there are plenty of newly released games that are still pretty "good". and if not, there's a massive, massive backlog of other games that have been released over the years with some incredible gems in it.
But I'm an individual with my own tastes. I have never gotten into Zelda nor RPGs, but I saw Fallout 3 and THAT's what hits me for RPGs. Hell it wasn't until Skyrim that I got into Fantasy Medieval-esque games. Currently I clock in at 781 hours.
I believe that whole thing with the melting soldier was because he was submerged in experimental bio med-gel during his stay within his cryopod. I'm assuming advances in cryo technology eventually went beyond using Med-gel to retain the organic structure, like Mr Houses cryonic chamber, or Big Mountains hibernation chambers and Vault 111's cryo system, all of which don't use bio-gel, which seemed to be the cause of Post cryonic syndrome.
