I'm curious about how there are quite a few people who have distinctly non-American accents. How did they come to have them when I assume there's no contact or access to places like Europe and Asia?
If were gonna go down that road it's actually more unlikely that they have recognizable accents at all. Just look at movies from the 20 and 30s, accents have changed massively in only the last 70 years, and FO4 is over 200 years ahead of that.
I know there's a character in New Vegas that has an Australian accent
new zealand actually (Flight of the Conchords taught me to think they hate being compared to australians even when it might not be true)
but yes, it's just because they grabbed the voice actor at the last minute, melissa is american in-game

I know FP probably hates Madness combat, but this was the first thing that popped into my head.
you know, a bit off topic, for a fallout game set in boston, there's not alot of bar fighting involved. this really should be fixed in a future mod.
i want to get pissdrunk so that the whole screen goes dizzy, and then npcs start attacking you fist to fist, and the crowd around starts yelling and gathering and fighting too, and this starts to play;

Screenshots?
It would be neat to see some more 40s-60s era weapons, from around the time Fallout's universe diverged from ours.
I'd do it myself but I can't find a single tutorial on swapping models ingame.
EDIT:
Just thought of an interesting idea, a mod that makes it possible to get addicted to Stimpaks, with quite a few negative effects, It may sound stupid at first but it would force players to start using the other healing items in the game rather than Stimpaks all the time.
Around 20 hours into my playthrough I had around 160 stimpaks in reserve, this is on the next to hardest difficulty before survival mind you, and I never used any other healing items, they just seemed pointless considering the fact that they often just gave you rads in return for a meagre amount of HP.

I've actually been using cooked meats and pure water to heal far more than stimpaks

Where's This Machine.
They shouldn't make stimpacks worse, they should make other healing items less of a hassle to use.
[editline]11th February 2016[/editline]
Like, with how often I'm in combat, I either press a hotkey for 1 stimpack to heal all the health I lost every 20 seconds or constantly open my inventory and scour for the right food.
The medic perk is an absolute necessity for playing Fallout 4. Without that the stimpacks are pretty useless.
So Fallout 1,2 and Tactics were taken down from Steam and GOG in 2014 I think due to a lawsuit between Bethesda and Interplay, after a while Bethesda re-released them.
I was wondering if there is any major differences between bethesda Fallout1,2,Tactics and Interplays.
I just want to take away all the little white first aid boxes for a playthrough, so you can only find stimpacks lying around on desks, ones you've made, or ones you've bought. I think that would cut down on them quite a bit. While I'm at it, the yellow drugs boxes can go away too. As it is, drug dealers only exist for me to sell my crap to, like every other vendor in the game.
I wonder what the next location for another East Coast Fallout game is going to be. I noticed quite a few references to New York in various holotapes and I can't help but shake it's a subtle hint. But I hope it's not a future setting for a numbered game, seems too cliche. At the very least, I can only imagine it as a DLC location, but not a full game for a few reasons.
DC got it pretty bad, I can only imagine that New York City probably looks like a combination between the Glowing Sea, and The Divide. It would probably be impossible to traverse on ground level, and would instead require using subway tunnels and ruined skyscraper walkways.
Is there a list of all the household objects the Survivor can comment on in the pre-war intro?
Is there a list of all the household objects the Survivor can comment on in the pre-war intro?
So far, here's the unofficial list I've gathered:
* The You're SPECIAL book
* Everything in the fridge
* F!SS's law degree
* The newspaper on the kitchen counter
* The minibar
* obv the sugar bombs
* there's a couple more that I'm forgetting
the bethesda version is the same on both steam and gog, and it includes the high resolution patch by default now. the original version that was taken down from gog, if you happen to have bought it before it was removed, has also been updated to include the high resolution patch. furthermore, the old gog version also includes some extra stuff like manual and such that both then new versions on steam and gog do not include.
for the games themselves there's basically no difference between all these versions, i do recommend installing the unofficial patches through (which can be found in the op).
So with the Fallout Fixt mod and the Unoffical Fallout 1 Patch, what do they do exactly.
[editline]11th February 2016[/editline]
Same with the Unofficial patch for fallout 2.

The 2015 release is identical to the 2013 release except it lacks the added 'goodies'
They should both be the same game version with the same patches included with them (hi-res patch). Although I can't tell since I got the 2015 release screenshot from a friend and as such I only own the 2013 version.
Note: This is probably the same case for the rest of the Fallout series.

Changes to a singleplayer game in response to criticism?
Is this real life?
Ooh, now I'm interested.
I hope they're planning to throw in the GECK with that DLC, unless they're planning on releasing all the DLCs first and only then release the GECK.
I really want the modding community to start working with scripts, I was REALLY looking forward to someone making an "Enhanced First Person Camera" already.
-actually nevermind-

I fucking hope it's not DLC that this comes as. "Hey guys, how would you like to buy part of the game we had to cut out to release it on time?"
Or, worse...

I have as little faith in Bethesda as the next person, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something more along the lines of The Pitt or Honest Hearts, if you get what I'm saying.

I'm immensely glad Hardcore is coming back, at any rate.
