Play both. But Play Fallout 4 first. It will make you appreciate New Vegas more. :v:
I'm just disappointed that there aren't more power armor mods. There are SO many unique power armors in the other games, in both mods and vanilla.
Every time I run across a Power Armor laying around I get super excited only to remember that it's just going to be one I've already seen
Yeah it is frankly a shame that the only unique power armors you can find are either in vendors or [sp]the piezoelectric chestplate you can make at that materials labratory a wandering robot advertises jobs for[/sp] [editline]13th February 2016[/editline] And even then they aren't visibly different from the normal power armor. Hell the only visual change you can make is adding a jetpack.
Ashur's Power Armor was the best. We need another tribal-looking power armor.
Im suprised there is no Ashur's based paintjob or mods for the T45 in the vanilla game, not even a reference to the pitt.
I imagine DLC will include new stuff for Power Armor. Probably nothing really unique, but most likely some new paint schemes.

I've been tweaking Deacon's face because it is arguably one of the worst faces [sp]without his glasses[/sp] in FO4 imo, but I don't want to enter that nexus realm of Macy's magazine model or creepy waifu bullshit. [t]http://i.imgur.com/GkHqGsd.jpg[/t] From an outside perspective, does it fall into those categories? Also, interesting theory about Deacon,

So my Fallout 4 textures have been fucking up, but not in the same way everyone else's textures have been fucking up. Most of the time, things render as they should. But at random, with none of my actions being an apparent cause, when the game tries to use a lower res texture for something (mostly observed in wood structures and beds, though I think theoretically it could be anything), it throws up and instead I get noise instead. Blocks of random colors. It kinda looks like that fabric they use on bus seats, except blockier. Thankfully, it seems to only be my low res textures that are affected - if I run straight up to one of the objects in question (the bed, or the barracks building in which I put that bed with it's 12+ others), the max-res textures are just fine. However, this issue has been persistent across two different attempts to verify files. The only texture mod I have is a single file mod that makes the roads on the Pip Boy map stand out more. The only other mod outside of that category that I have is a 4:3 fix mod, and I uninstalled that to make sure that wasn't the source of the issue (it isn't). Where the hell do I start with this one?
I very rarely see an NPC with more than one weapon, ever, even if their one weapon is a missile launcher. Chalk this up to Bethesda's crap leveled lists, I guess
I've seen npc's rush to their fallen comrades missile launcher even though they have had a gun. I had raiders attack tenpines bluff with 4 launchers and a handful laser gun raiders. It was a real challenge to stay alive let alone keep the settlers from harms way.
theres no "good" ending in NV, if you side with the NCR you're basically putting the whole area under a military rule or at least under the whim of an oligarchy a few hundred miles away, while House's ending puts you under a dictatorship, even if he's benevolent, the legion ending is sort of obvious, lots of people die and rape and pillaging, while the independent ending is sort of just replacing house with another single ruler, you, but depending on how it plays out, you are either a toady to the NCR/legion or you're using house's technology to enforce your rule
If you're trying to insinuate there's no "perfect" ending then I'd agree with you, but I don't get it when people keep trying to claim that the NCR is inherently "bad". I mean yeah it's far from perfect, but everything that the NCR suffers from Politically is actually the same or significantly worse in its real world counterpart: The United States, and without all the history of slavery/ethnic cleansing to boot. Shit gets done in the NCR, all member states have equal voting privileges, freedom in its territories is fairly high, and the economy is booming. The Mojave won't always be some fringe territory for long if the NCR's track record is to be concerned either, it would eventually become one of the member states and have at least some input as to not only how to run itself (way more than it would have under any other ending, and more than it has in game) but also how the NCR would be run as a whole. There might be taxation without representation in game, but it wouldn't be that case for long because doing so goes against the core values of the republic, and openly going against said values would cause unrest. Plus with a centralized local government (probably in New Vegas itself) the state could take care of its own domestic problems that the federal government can't be assed to do, like take care of all the crumbling infrastructure. Additionally "Military rule" breeds contempt and it's not like the NCR doesn't know that, it has a policy of not annexing territories by force (subterfuge is another matter entirely) hence why they don't just march into New Vegas or New Reno with military might. They could very well do that, and would win (pre-house or wildcard ending) but doing so would make everyone very unhappy, which is why they sit on hoover dam and intend to starve House out via their stranglehold on his electricity. Their troops will have other battles to fight, and will be moved elsewhere once the frontline has moved away from the Mojave. You can't simply say that how it is in game is how it will always be. Plus, the military is a boon for New Vegas. Drunk soldiers are one of their prime sources of income, and NCR tourists are nearly all the rest.
Just finished my second run of F4 (Institute this time) and I just want to reiterate how much it pisses me off that the ending slides [sp] are the same no matter what and utter shit[/sp].
Yeah its bullshit. [sp]Heres to hoping the BOS takeover ending gets added in dlc so we can have best ending.[/sp]

You know what I love? I love when a mod comes with 19 esps and 1 esm, all of which are abbreviated, and provides no way of knowing what is an important file and what is a compatibility patch. I especially love when these mods also don't have a readme, and they include multiple alternate folders tucked inside each other with no explanation of what esp they are related to.
You know, I do wonder what goes in the minds of Bethesda sometimes seriously. Not like when we go like "MAKE THE PLAYER KING OF ALL DA CASTLES", I mean WHAT makes them think giving people leadership of factions makes for a good way to say you're awesome. Most of the endings in New Vegas ended up with you being more a VIP of the factions rather than leader, and the actual leader part is more meaningful because you end the game as King of all the Mojave Wasteland.

Plant lod's start looking like orange blobs and tree lod's lose their transparency. I also had all my shack wall textures turn into Nuka Cola billboard textures for some bizzare reason. Never all issues at once though, always one or the other, I'm not running any mods that mess with the vanilla environment textures either. It may have just been my GPU overheating, I cleaned my PC out yesterday and haven't been having issues since then, though I'm going to play a bit more and see if the issue comes back.

That's immersively clever.
