I didn't think it would be as recognizable using other shapes of coins. For the edge being jagged, it would be really cool, but there's not enough polygons to make it work. 350 triangles for the sword in-game.
Random idea; a skeletal hound courier (instead of a bloodhound it could be called a Bonehound, hur hur), styled after Skeleton King. Has potential for lot of charming animations; upon dying, collapses like SK when he uses his ult. Upon spawning, could arise out of the earth, dig up it's leg and carry it in it's mouth.

How would it fly, though?

Like there's bandaging and wrapping around where the dog's back and the wings connect.

Updated my old ward concept: [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/1fPgcRB.png[/IMG] Wanted to draw version with dozen of smaller eyes in the hole are but it's too hard for me :V Version with many smaller eyes could have volcano-like eruption rare animation which would throw out some eyes. Edit: [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/TyQpoz8.png[/IMG] You can either interpret it as blood or as lava. Or just make it disappear in your imagination (without it I couldn't make single eyes visible). Now as I look at it, it reminds me of Healing Shrine form Diablo 2.
Has anyone tried making a Tentacle ward, like the ones from HL1 and the expansions, or has Valve still got their policy of not accepting items on the workshop made of copyrighted content? Even the little eyestalks you find on Xen would be a nice idea, especially if there was some proximity-based animation that makes it hide, which seems unlikely to be added.
Idea, a 'solar system'/planet ward. A large eyeball with debris (think meteorites and space stuff) floating around it in orbit. The eyeball could have rings on it like Saturn has. Might be cool.

so for this year's Diretide, anyone thought about making a Jack-o-Lantern pumpkin type treant for Nature's Prophet. Little pumpkins with cut in faces that have tentacle like vines they use to crawl around. Yea, it's kind of gimmicky, but I think it would work nice and would fit the style great if done well.

I feel that the bag with a hand or the spine/skull backpack item would fit the best for rest of the set, but I personally like the bull skull the most, the scrolls right to it second best. As for hood, the horns or spikes would again go really well with the set, but personally I like the one with the one with runic letters on the orange strip.
