I know this might not be the best place to ask, but I got a tiny question about bones in Dota NPC's
Why are they tiny "balls" in imported .smd files? It seems counter-intuitive to rig a model with such bones, is it something "created" by the engine during exporting from "normal" bones, and I shouldn't worry about it when creating my own NPC?
I'm interested on making taunts, but have no idea were to start, Someone linked me a video tutorial of how to edit taunts for TF2, but it's a bit outdated. Anyone got a useful guide or tutorial on how to make animations for dota 2, and what tools will I need to do so?
I've been interested in that too, a tut would be great.
Is it just me or are the Alchemist reference files all screwed up? Even when I export the original model into Dota 2, the models still come in offset.
I've had the same problem but I couldn't seem to find a solution. I just rotated the model to the right location with trial and error.
Are the models on the requirements page reliable?
Figured it out, had to import the smd and use that. The fbx for alchemist is botched.

This is our latest entry into the workshop and quite a challenging one too. With nine wings/flaps (all jiggle!) and comes with bracers and a nice classy frontal design. Hope you like this item.

Well, first of all learn how hair lies on head. Personally I have little idea about it so my gf helps me with it. I think you can google pictures of hairstyles to learn.
Second, CurveTubes brush. Significantly improved my skills of making hair. Use Fold brush for details. I'm using Selwy's Fold brush ([url]www.selwy.com/article_content/03_Clothes_Tutorial/Selwys_brushes.ZIP[/url])

Yeah, from what I hear, Zbrush is untouchable when it comes to highpoly sculpting.
Remade the circlet. The difficulty in making hair, or at least sculpting though.
