Another week, another Dota item. Seriously though, it took me like 4 8-hour days to make this. I need to increase my pace. Vlad would have lapped me 3 times and all 3 would have gotten in. I hope I don't wake up sober tomorrow and realize this is terrible. It's not terrible, but it definitely looks sub par when you compare it to the other rifles that made it ingame imo.
I wouldnt call it sub par, I'd call it a mixed bag of rifle designs, it's trying to be alot of things at once,a revolver, a rifle, what looks like a musket firing mechanism and body design, and what looks like a russian optic sight. simplify it, it has too many small details.
It's far from awful, but the low res textures in the portrait certainly aren't doing it any favours.
The sight also really looks kinda unpolished when compared to the rest of the model.
I think it looks great but it's just like... nothing really special. There's no real reason I would choose it over the Instagib or whatever that other one is called.

I like it, but I think the revolver chamber is an unnecessary detail, something like that would be better as the focus of a rifle rather than a small detail imo.
I think a way to greatly improve the rifle you have there is to have all of those lenses be on little arms or wheels on the scope itself(or even on the barrel like you have there, but swappable in/out of view). Like little arms with joints so he can flick more lenses into view depending on the range of the enemy. Like you see in some pictures of steampunk glasses... If you got rid of the lenses you have and did those or something like switchable lenses I think it would greatly improve the look and I don't think it would really that intensive in terms of geometry. Your idea of multiple lenses is great but the execution where they can't be moved to adjust for distance doesn't make much sense. Otherwise, I love it. My favorite part is the trigger!
@Maruhai - Yeah, I was under a deadline to finish it last night expecting I would be too busy this weekend to finish it and wanted to slip it in before next week's chest, so the scope area is pretty much completely un-worked. @Rockeiro - I lacked a strong concept going in and just kept messing around until it looked okay so it has a lot of disparate details. @pvt.meh - I wanted it to be the focus, it used to be gold and show up a lot. The reality was that the body of the gun really restricted how big and obnoxious I could make the cylinder. @Sasurai - Good idea, I will try to add some, I don't know if I can do it with the tri limit. Maybe only in portrait.

Otherwise it's looking great!

honestly one of the best and cleanest HUDs I've seen the only thing I don't like is the flags between the map and portrait look out of place there

Thanks for feedback guys. @OutOfExile2 U will see later why i decide for this place for flags. It is because 16:9 resolution. But I think for those flags cannot be better place. I'll post it soon.

Really don't like how the Aegis looks under the Hud elements on the right, maybe fad it out more or blank it out. Or at least show us a picture of what it looks like with info. Love the rest of it though.

i don't know about the mask. sure it's legacy and all, but i'm under the impression that valve doesn't like people covering up hero faces also i think you've kinda lost the owl motif you had before, which was neat
Sadly everyone and their mother made an Owl motif to Skywrath Mage set ideas between the time I started and finished the concept so I made the overall Owl theme more subdued aside from the wings. Though I kept Owl feather patterns on the coat tail and in some other subtle shapes. The mask was initially not going to be a full mask and was going to leave the mouth piece exposed but it felt a little too Superhero-y, I figured putting in the mouthpiece would be a neat nod to the concept art though still keeping it different. Not sure what their policy on covering up faces are, they've introduced quite a few items that obscure hero faces, I personally think the most expressive part of Dragonus's face are his eyes and eyebrows so I left those uncovered.

Just look at the centaur helmet that got in.
