I will say this and I'm not ashamed to say it. I think DA:I is just as good as DA:O but they aren't the same games. Still, DA:I has so much to offer to get your money's worth.
No that's impossible. It only imports the choices from The Keep. They're the only ones that ever happened now as far as the game is concerned.
Oh, so it doesn't take your old saves like in previous games? I didn't know that. It's a shame more choices weren't included, although I guess it's not too surprising.
People asked for open world and people got open world. Still stuck in the Hinterlands exploring the world. So far I'm having a blast. Neverwinter Nights/Classic Dungeons & Dragons, and part of it's charm that it was part of a sub-genre that sadly doesnt exist so much That's not to say that DA:I isn't a fucking fantastic game, its just a little more action/arcadey.
My only issue with the game so far are the sound effects disappearing all of a sudden only to come back a short while after.
Anyone else have their game crash when Varric introduce you to [sp]Hawke?[/sp]

This allows players to maybe play DA:O and DA:2 on one console but then jump to another one or PC. Apparently not every decision in The Keep actually has an effect on the game. But those are the ones deemed most important by Bioware and if they don't pick up on them in DA:I it leaves it open for the future. They invite people to suggest choices to them that they think should be included in The Keep. It seems The Keep is also taking in your DA:I progress too for future games. Keeping it all stored in the cloud. Another benefit of The Keep is it lets you create another world state without having to play through the whole game again.
Its frostbite which isnt known for being modder friendly.
fuck goddamnit Bioware why did you abandon Aurora
There is so much content Played for 15 hours and barely scratched it
I'm on 26 hours and i feel like im not even slightly close.
Going to buy this for the PS4, but is it worth waiting until Black Friday in case there's some sort of a discount somewhere? I mean, I'm not sure I'll even be able to invest a lot of time into it this week due to helping to open a shop, so maybe I'll just grab it near the weekend.
Has anybody beaten it got the hours they put into it?
Having finally finished the original again, can I just say that, if it weren't for the fact that you get to pick up Oghren, Orzammar might be my least favorite part of the main storyline? For God's sake, this is a part that really is in dire need of pruning, it goes on forever, especially going after Branka. [editline]24th November 2014[/editline] It's more in the region of 15 pounds off.
The market district of Orzammar is pretty cool, though the tunnels are tedious. Well, it's time to play DA2 while I wait for the fixed Goty edition of DA:I.
Great, game keeps crashing with a weird DirectX error.

Also which sub-class. Mage was an insta-pick for me when I saw that you can use a "light sword" as a Knight Enchanter.

I was already going to pick mage (and the amazing Knight Enchanter, huge lightsaber and "teleportation", yes please) but if I decide to replay, Templar and Reaver seem cool, too. I'm not much of a rouge player.
So when do you get to specialize?
Thanks guys, appreciate the help.
So when do you get to specialize?
About level 10 or so you can send the agents off to get the quests on the war temple.
So when do you get to specialize?
I think it's after you get Skyhold (I was level 11 I think) you can then find a quest in the War Room. You will summon 3 trainers, each gives you a quest to collect some things and book (which you can get from a companion of the same specialization but you need to find it in their room on Skyhold or you have to buy it from a merchant) and from those items build a thing at the quartermaster.
24 hours in and I have no clue how much of the game I've completed.
Has anybody beaten it got the hours they put into it?
I beat it at 60 hours. This was pretty much the point I went holy shit I still have so much to I'm just gonna finish the game already.
I beat it at 60 hours. This was pretty much the point I went holy shit I still have so much to I'm just gonna finish the game already.
this sounds like a game i would never beat jesus fuck that's just way too long
Like playing an Elder Scrolls game, only with this you might actually be able to complete everything.
Right now I'm at 22 hours and I did spoil myself a little and learn that I have about 4 main quests before it's over. BUT I still haven't finished fully exploring a single location (Hinterlands and Storm Coast are close) And there are bunch of other big locations I haven't even visited yet. Plus I'm sure the power and level requirements won't let me select the main quests in sequence.
Can't be fucked to collect Shards. I thought they were useless before I found out what they do. I guess there's more of an incentive to get them now... Going to have one Shard collecting sesh, gonna be sick. Also, fuck bears, little cunts think they have to join in every fight they can. [sp]It's unbearable.[/sp]
What do they do? I can't find the correct article on the wiki
So, I'm assuming Aveline isn't romanceable, yes? I think I'll go for Merrill
What do they do? I can't find the correct article on the wiki
[sp]Once you discover the temple in the Forgotten Oasis (?) You can open doors with them, and you get rewards. I received some loot and +4 cold resistance for opening a door and defeating the enemies within.[/sp] Well that's the jist of it. If anyone wants to extrapolate or correct me feel free.
