I'm picking Anders as a healer over Bethany because, frankly, a male character with an all-female party would be ... would look ... wrong
that is entirely in your own head. who's going to see lmao

You know what? You are fucking right
Anyone know what the max tier of weapons and armor are? I've tried looking around but got mixed results. Some people say 3, while others say it goes as high as 6.
I'm pretty sure that I read it was 3 on the DA:I webpage.
I wish there was more prominent roles for the old DA:O characters.
It's real good having Leliana and Morrigan around again but I wish Morrigan was a companion. Or anybody.
Is it just me or are the side quests a hundred times more limited in Inquisition than in Origins and its sequel? Don't get me wrong, I love the game and all, but holy shit there are few ways you can deal with assignments. [sp]Call me Imshael[/sp] lets you make one choice, but outside of that one I can't recall a single side quest that offered any kind of options. If you are ordered to kill someone you have to kill them, they don't even offer you the courtesy of talking things through before they attack. If you are to retrieve or destroy things you do so, you can't keep them to yourself.
Even though it takes place in an open world, its side quests feel more linear than ever, like something straight out of a dull MMO.
that's basically exactly what i've been afraid of when i heard about how many sidequests there were, guess my hunch was right, because it sounds like it literally is just MMORPG go here do this level bullshit

Morrigan and Alistair. Best friends forever. <3
Alistair: Why do you always go on about how stupid I am? I'm not stupid, am I?
Morrigan: If you need to ask the question...
Alistair: Because it hurts my manly feelings, you know. All one of them.
Morrigan: Then I'll be sure to write you an apology once all of this is over.
Alistair: I was educated by the Chantry. I studied history. They don't make stupid templars.
Morrigan: Then I must have been mistaken. I'm very impressed.
Alistair: No you're not. You're not even listening to me.
Morrigan: My, you are smarter than you look after all. Your Chantry must have been very proud.
Oghren + anyone makes for hilarious dialogue.
Sten: Dwarf.
Oghren: What?
Sten: Stop tripping me.
Oghren: Stop tripping yourself!
Sten: If you were significant enough to notice, I wouldn't step on you.
Oghren: Oh, well... your mother!
Sten: ... That was disappointing. I expected better from you.
Oghren: Sorry, I was in a rush.

Is DA:I worth getting on PS4? Amazon gave me a bunch of gift certificates cause of false advertising on AC Unity and I have enough to get DA:I.
Is DA:I worth getting on PS4?
From what I've heard it plays well on a controller (arguably better), and there's likely to be little to no mods for the PC version.
You might as well.
Damn, that mission on the Orlesian ball was awesome.
I've not done that one yet, I just did the "other" one you can chose from, im a little too high for the story missions so i think i might burn through a few
How easy is it to get the necessary court approval (85+)?
Not to hard. I ended on like 98.
I swear, assassins have been taking some serious evening school lessions from Origins to Dragon Age II: they have a crapton of health (for a rogue, that is); they always, and I do mean ALWAYS, target the party member with less armor/less health; they use stealth more than once to escape your attacks completely and break it later to inflict massive damage on your weak healer/dps mage
How easy is it to get the necessary court approval (85+)?
Necessary? I ended up on like 20 in the end and managed to do everything just fine, I think. Fucking racists gave me -25 for being an Elf when I arrived. What happens when you get 85+? That [sp]dance sequence[/sp] made me lose most of my approval because I was too direct or something :v:
You need to be a coy little shit when you do the [sp]dance[/sp].
Take the middle choices during the [sp]dance[/sp] and you'll get all of the approval you need

I also hate those mages who can teleport and decimate your team with one bullshit AoE spell in a second if you're not looking.
Is there a significant difference in picking [sp]Templars over Mages[/sp]? I went [sp]Mages[/sp], but part of me feels I should have chosen [sp]Templars[/sp].
"Is the coast really wounded? How did that happen?! Can it be healed?"
(Merrill upon arriving on the Wounded Coast area)
I swear, I'm falling hard for this woman

Yeah i really love being a templar. Nice Barrier there buddy! shame if someone did something to it FOR MASSIVE AOE DAMAGE.
Dragon Age Inquisition has some weird bugs... If you press A just in range of an NPC, you jump and initiate conversation at the same time.

When the conversation ends, you're still in the same "jumping" position, floating in mid-air, but you can move around like that. It's really weird. Too bad I can't record it while using Mantle.
That's not a bug. It's moonwalking.

Should I stay sword and board or respec into 2 handed?
Optimistic - Sword+Board
Useful - Two Handed
Go two-handed and become a reaver. Rip and tear.
i went sword and board reaver. my guard literally never drops to 0 so i can use all the health i want for dragon rage
So I may have been wrong about my computer dying. I looked inside and noticed a cable was loose.
Dorian is pretty cool.
I didn't think I'd find him interesting at all pre-release but now he's probably one of my favorite companions.

All the characters are actually interesting when you talk to them really.
[sp]I left Hawk in the Fade and I made Varric sad as fuck, and hugged him, regretted the decision. Looked at my save games and noticed The Fade - 37:39, I load it up and it right at the boss fight. I'm sorry Brogain I like you but sad Varric is beyond fucking sad to see, yet what becomes of the Warduns...[/sp]
