I didn't. I'm not a monster like him.
[sp]An honorable duel to avenge the thousands that died to his betrayal is monstrous?[/sp]
There is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much room for DLC. Like I'm betting there's going to a DLC or rather expansion pack where you get to meet your warden again.
When you got 60+ hours of content to play with you can't really accuse them of leaving too much room for DLC. They can't do everything in one game. I would like Warden DLC. I would sort of like the next game to be like Awakening where you play as a Warden and can choose to play as your Warden from Origins or create a new one. [editline]2nd December 2014[/editline]
if they give the warden a voice the outcry will never stop most likely we'll just never see the warden again sacrifice ending best ending anyway
The Warden has a voice. I don't get this "the Warden doesn't have a voice". He has a voice. He just didn't speak every single line. But he did speak. You choose a voice at the start and everything.
thems fighting words
What, you wanna give Morrigan her evil demon witch baby? confirmed terrible person
The Warden has a voice. I don't get this "the Warden doesn't have a voice". He has a voice. He just didn't speak every single line. But he did speak. You choose a voice at the start and everything.
That voice was only used in battle and some other minor stuff thou.
When you [sp]send a letter to the Warden[/sp] I was expecting his response to be [sp]"Can I get you a ladder so you can get off my back?" - Warden-Commander Aldan Cousland of Ferelden[/sp] [editline]2nd December 2014[/editline]
The Warden has a voice. I don't get this "the Warden doesn't have a voice". He has a voice. He just didn't speak every single line. But he did speak. You choose a voice at the start and everything.
The problem is more a matter of there being too many choices for a voice, and people being pissed that they'd have to narrow it down. There's no way they'd get the same voice actors for every voice type for every race to do every line for the Warden just for a DLC.
The menu selection is really fidgety on PS4, takes me like 5 minutes to select inventory.
How to I go about changing the voice? I went with the British voice, but because I'm British I find it too posh and annoying, rather have the american without having to restart.
Well, because it is a bug I'll go ahead and spoil one moment that isn't too big. [sp]You meet Hawke. Before you meet face to face you have an option to customize his face. If you customize it a bug will give you the other, American voice in your case. If you go with Hawke's default look Hawke will look like from the DA2 promo art and you keep your current voice.[/sp]
That voice was only used in battle and some other minor stuff thou.
Also, like he said, you get a choice of a shitton of voices. It would literally be impossible to implement in a way that isn't insulting to a lot of people, so the Warden is never appearing again.

There's no way they'd get the same voice actors for every voice type for every race to do every line for the Warden just for a DLC.
Especially not since most of those voices are literally ripped straight out of Neverwinter Nights. They're literally over 10 years old by now.
[sp]Regarding Loghain. I keep hearing that if you spare him he has a great redemption arc. I felt his betrayal had to be punished. For all we know he's superiority complex could have doomed Ferelden. Since I was going to make Alistair king I had him duel Loghain in an attempt to make Alistair fight for his crown. If you do that Alistair will then kill Loghain no matter what you do.[/sp]
Also, like he said, you get a choice of a shitton of voices. The Keep only carries over the image of your Warden, somebody said it doesn't actually hold their data. So when the Warden does appear you'll have to build them from scratch anyway.
[sp]The only true asshole in Origins is Arl Howe, argue with it if you must but he literally kills your family for no radon at all. Atleast Broghain was paranoid about the Orleasians messing up his country. Howe is just a gigantic faggot who deserves to be slowly roasted a fire.[/sp]
how is the armour customisation in this? I'm really hoping you use the words extensive and varied because that is a huge selling point for me.

It's utterly insignificant, to the point where when you are at your home base that you get a while into the game, you can only wear one specific really bland set of clothing.
Just further proving that the Warden is never appearing again.
They say that's how Hawke works too. I have to wait to Christmas to play so I have no idea. If your custom Hawke is imported then I guess your Warden is too but people on Reddit said Hawke isn't so the Warden isn't either.
how is the armour customisation in this? I'm really hoping you use the words extensive and varied because that is a huge selling point for me.
Good and bad. Good in the fact that you can craft armour with a ton of different stats and colours, bad in the fact that each tier only has two variations (except special armours) and you can't change how you look at home. That said you can craft your armour set, your arms, your legs, and your hat so you can look pretty varied.
They say that's how Hawke works too. I have to wait to Christmas to play so I have no idea. Yeah, the armor variety could be better. I enjoy how upgrades actually change the look of your arms and legs. Still sucks you can only wear one outfit at Skyhold. Especially one that makes you look like Dr Evil.
Is it just me where the controls are really sensitive on the PS4 when selecting a conversational choice or trying to access inventory in the menu? It's really annoying.
Finished it after 72 hours. Did all sidequests I found + companion quests. Didn't get achievement for killing all dragons and romancing Josephine though-..
Anyone else get a refund from Origin for using Mexican Origin? I got my money back and they took the game off my account. Oh well, I played enough of it to know I'm better off waiting for a real sale.
Oh shit I just remembered I didnt open the final spirit door in the Oasis since i didnt have enough skelly-thingys. But I explored EVERYWHERE and looted all of them, and yet i still missed 4 of them?
I did a quick research few days ago and about 4 dragons need missions on the War Table to be accessible.
I got the Exacting Buyers perk, but I have no idea where these 'rare stocks' are, can any of you help me? I'm not all that far into the game, still sticking to the hinterlands.
Whew. First run doned. Around 52 hours as a vanilla as shit male human warrior. Time to ride the bull as a male dwarf or someshit next.
What's FP verdict on this? Worth the price of admission? I read some reviews and watched some videos... so I'm interested; but after being burned from DA:II...
[sp] I like how at the end of the game Solas said CoryInTheHouse wasn't powerful enough to open the breech at all.[/sp]
What's FP verdict on this? Worth the price of admission? I read some reviews and watched some videos... so I'm interested; but after being burned from DA:II...
It's very good. Don't expect Origins 2 because its a different game. Kinda like Mass Effect 1 to 2 but even more extreme. That said different isn't bad. It does what it does well. Characters are well-written for the most part, the world and lore is well realized, the story is engaging, there is plenty to do, and gameplay is not much to write home about but it's servicable. The only really negatives in my eyes? The tactical mode is bad and isn't really needed at all, meaning combat is less slow and tactical and more streamlined (your mileage on that may vary). Animations are even more awkward than your typical Bioware affair and there's a good amount of jank in the cutscenes at times. And the game is very crafting centric which I never liked. I like getting great loot and being able to tell a story about how I killed a giant and use his toe nail as a shield, not that I ran around a cave in Crestwood a dozen times to get materials to make a shield that's better than anything I've had drop for me. But for the most part? Yeah its a damn fine game and while its different, from a quality standpoint its a worthy successor to Origins.
The main problem I have with the tactical camera (besides control issues) is that you can't queue attacks, you couldn't in Origins either, and it bothers the shit out of me. In Kotor I could queue 4 actions but in Dragon Age I have to select every attack right when I need it. Makes the tactical game too micromanagy.
Inquisition's combat felt like an MMO but instead of being a teamspeak with about 8-20(Or however many people are allowed in large parties) I'm micromanaging a small team of near retarded AI at times. While the AI is decent enough to kill enemies w/o your help they go full retard when you fight a dragon some times. In short though it's like an MMO w/o actual players to support you and to be fair a dragon age mmo could be done considering you got a lot you can build so and etc.
