It's a good game, the only problem I have with is that it kinda feels like an MMO sometimes Most side quests are boring If you don't mind that, go ahead I would finish Origins first though
Thanks, well I am currently playing through it again but I just want to skip to inquisition, I do not feel like playing the first one to be honest.
So I'm never gonna play this game anyway, but i got a redeem-code with my new logitech mouse and thought maybe one of you guys would be interested. You can redeem it at logitechgpromo.com (requires to create a logitech promo account) the code is "LGTRHC67PNJ6UW". It unlocks a in-game mount: Light-Torn Steed & ingame ring: Ring of Technical logic. First comes first serves. P.S: only for PC users.
I just don't really get the Anders hate. He was my favourite companion.
If I can quote Carver, another companion from Dragon Age II
"We don't hate you because you are a mage, Anders. We hate you because you never shut up about it"
Plus, I personally found his attempt to use our friendship to guilt me into [sp]helping him set up a bomb in the Chantry[/sp] the point where he stops being sympathetic
So, I found this :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/YTQlMWI.png[/t]
So am I the only one who feels bad about hunting all the High Dragons? They are really great creatures and I mean they kinda tend to themselves not really attacking people and stuff.
Dat loot doe.
I just don't really get the Anders hate. He was my favourite companion.
Indeed, Anders was my favorite companion in Awakening. He was smarmy, witty and a laugh to have around. DA2's Anders is a humorless, almost overly angsty shit who won't shut the hell up about how mages are being oppressed and will[sp]try to guilt-trip you into blowing up the chantry[/sp]because no compromise maaaaaaan.
Well, I got the game now. I really want to play as an offensive mage, what class is actually really enjoyable to play as? I played warrior in origins and it was a bit boring to be honest. Also are there any skills or things I should know in advance that are useless or very important?
Thanks, well I am currently playing through it again but I just want to skip to inquisition, I do not feel like playing the first one to be honest.
I think Origin is the better made game of the two of them, though the story is really up to opinion. Origins feels a lot more like a classic RPG, and they unfortunately stripped out a lot of that over the course of the 2 games.

I actually can't make myself play through this again, the side quests are so fucking boring and offer so little choice and variety that it's just a struggle to get to the actually fun parts.
From what I heard, if you want to play as an offensive mage, you go as a Mage Knight Enchanter.
Knight enchanters are more defensive though. They're the kind of mage you want to play as if you want to not be a glass cannon and also probably break the game Void mages are for blowing shit up.
What a cheesy way to die Also, apparently someone on TV Tropes has some issues with various characters MO in Dragon Age II, and he's not wrong either: [sp]"No Carver/Bethany, it's not a good idea to attack an ogre on your own, nor is to hide you've been tainted after you saw what happened to Wesley No Aveline, threatening the Arishok because people have converted to the Qun to hide from a crime they made because you didn't do your job properly is not a smart move Isabela, you really shouldn't hide in the same city as the army you've stolen their original version of the Quar'an written by their Prophet himself from Merril, since the beggining of mages, everyone who made a deal with a demon ended up crazy or posseded, what make you think it will be different with you? And you know you're trying to repair a mirror who killed one/two of your clanmate don't you? No Anders, that's not how you improve mages' condition Fenris, you know that staying in the same place for six years will help your old master track you? And do you wish to escape him or to kill him? Varric, you think keeping a shard of the thing that drove your brother crazy is a good idea? Orsino, is allowing serial killers For Science! a good idea which will make people think better of mages? Elthina, DO SOMETHING!"[/sp]
From what I heard, if you want to play as an offensive mage, you go as a Mage Knight Enchanter.
The only good thing about the Knight Enchanter is the ability to add to your barrier by dealing damage, having it make you almost invincible. I'm not a huge fan of the melee ability you get but it's decent if you wanna get up close to shit and NOT use almost all of your Mage abilities.
I've been watching videos of inquisition and there's been something that's really bothering me. What the hell is going on with the female protagonist's voice? She sounds like somebody parsed the player lines through a text of speech program.
At least Leliana was a bard and she led up to the song by telling you about it. In Inquisition it comes out of fucking no where. Though the shot of Solas like "What the fuck are these fucking humans doing now?" was great.
I liked her random humming as you strolled through a dungeon though
Huh, think bioware may have gone a tad overboard with how terrifying the Avvar are. It's just downright strange to see the Hand of Korth outright towering over Iron Bull in height and bulk
I've been watching videos of inquisition and there's been something that's really bothering me. What the hell is going on with the female protagonist's voice? She sounds like somebody parsed the player lines through a text of speech program.
I've been thinking about this as I've been playing DA:I. The first voice option for the female Inquisitor is so drab that it's driving me nuts; I don't really feel excitement anymore when I choose dialogue options as I would for Hawke or Shepard from Mass Effect.
I personally don't like any of the player voices. I don't think they egregious but I certainly don't like them.
I personally don't like any of the player voices. I don't think they egregious but I certainly don't like them.
I don't like them either, but I can tolerate the first voice option. The second one is just so goddamn horrible. I just want to know who at Bioware thought it was good enough to use.
Indeed, Anders was my favorite companion in Awakening. He was smarmy, witty and a laugh to have around.
Anders: You don't like me, Carver? Carver: I don't like you. Anders: That's unfortunate. Hating someone just because they're a mage is a shameful thing. Carver: I don't hate you because you're a mage. I hate you because you won't shut up about it. Carver: Oppression this, templars that. I'd heard enough long before you. Anders: Maybe it's time you put some thought into it.
So is Sera suppose to be mentally challenged? I'm I suppose to laugh at her dialog because it's bad or because it's funny?
So is Sera suppose to be mentally challenged? I'm I suppose to laugh at her dialog because it's bad or because it's funny?
You're supposed to laugh at her mole rat face.
So is Sera suppose to be mentally challenged? I'm I suppose to laugh at her dialog because it's bad or because it's funny?
The Tiny Tina of Dragon Age, and that's terrible.
What's amazingly funny if you're Hawke's a mage meaning you have Carver and Anders in a party at the same time you have this banter.
While Bethany is the better sibling, I really felt sorry for Carver in the Legacy DLC.
I completely avoided Sera since I got her except for her side quest and after that even more. Now I'm reading she's like a machinegun with her bow? Anyone tested if she is truly the best rogue to pick for your party? I usually take Varric but he seems to die quickly in heated battles.
While I can understand why is easy for people to get at Ander's throat, the only character from Dragon Age II I can't seem to like by any measure, and instead I hate with a passion, is Grand Cleric Elthina The majority of the issues plaguing your PC in the second and the third acts can be adressed to her, indirectly or far less so. And the reasons she herself gives you for doing jackshit while a hell break loose both times boil down to: - Her convintion about everything being resolved after an unknown amount of time since the Maker will provide or something. While this is an understandable position for a religious leader, there are corpses being piled up in the streets and people dying all over the place - Her sincere belief that two well known extremists, Meredith and Orsino, are just two rebellious children that will make peace, again, after an unknown amount of time. Therefore, there is no need to do anything This is especially jarring regarding Meredith, because we know from Origins that the Templar order answers DIRECTLY to whatever Grand Cleric happens to be in the area, so Elthina would have both authority AND a good reason to command Meredith to cut the crap to a certain degree. But no. - Her not being able to at least know when a member of her Chantry, sister Petrice, is using her seal to instigate a bloody war. It's also worth mentioning here that Elthina doesn't have the slightest suspect about Petrice until she commits murderer at her doorstep Given that the character was written by Jennifer Hepler I can't expect top notch motivations, but fuck ...
[sp]No Anders, that's not how you improve mages' condition[/sp]
For some reason, I find this the funniest of them all.
