Really? Because one weird dude isn't equal the massive fanbase or some bs. This is almost like Bioware toning down their nudity and sex (until this game) after the Mass Effect debacle.
If I remember correctly he posted something on the forums along the lines of "wow I came across this fucked up thing" and because gamers are the worst he got mailed/twittered dozens of images of people doing just that to spite him.
Really loving the soundtrack.
After reading some guides, I might pick the mage back up, and bee-line to Blood Mage-ness for maximum murder.
If you want to become stupidly powerful and remove all difficulty, just go Arcane Warrior.
Apparently the game uses Denuvo on PC
There are no horror stories about this game running poorly on XBone, right? Normally I would get something like this for PC, but I genuinely kinda want to play it on console for some reason
My only fear is that the console versions have been borked somehow
the problem with bioware is that over time they got more and more liberal about everything. the whole company went from making fan favorites to making AAA knockoffs that had nothing in mind what the fans wanted. i mean look at mass effect 3. it didn't even have roleplaying elements and the sense of wonder in the worlds was completely removed. the nexus city space station thing consisted of like four hyperlinear hallways with maybe a room or two attached to it with nothing to do in more than half of them. it was all show and everything felt lifeless
all they have to do is bring back the old DA stuff and get rid of those awful quests that go on for hours in the same place that absolutely bore you to death. DA's focused on story telling just like mass effect is: it doesn't need boring as hell dungeon crawling
tldr i have no idea if they got their shit together and i'm sure a lot is riding on this title but there's no way i'm going to pay money for it after their last handful of games being a huge letdown

Usual no comment and what not.

The only horror story I've heard on the consoles is that Sony released some sort of patch on the PS4 that broke the game, but I've heard they fixed that
I've decided to take up Origins again in preparation to Dragon Age II
This time around I'm playing as a mage. I think that origins is even better than the one of my original character, a human noble rogue: I find the whole mages/templars conflict to be one of the most interesting part of the series' story. The only drawback is that [sp]I won't enjoy killing Howe as much as I did previously[/sp]
I'm also going to rush to the elves and the Redcliff quests before anything else in order to get my blood mage and arcane warrior specializations as soon as possible
Something that keeps suprising me about this game is how much of a difficulty spike the tower of Ishal is for a level just after your origin/tutorial area. And before the journey to the Deeproads, no dungeon is as hard as it is. I mean:
- The party members you are given count to two underpowered peons who get killed really quickly and Alistair, who cannot truly shine at that point
- The aggro works as such that aggroing just ONE group of Darkspawn makes all the other enemies on the floor to close on you
- The enemies groups are far bigger than the ones you have been facing up to this point (and many other after the tower itself)
- THAT FUCKING OGRE (I was steamrolling through the enemies as a mage before I got a FUCKING OGRE grabbing me and punching all my life force out of me)
What the hell

You can easily kite that Ogre. I recently started playing Origins again for the first time in like six months, as a Mage I do a lot of damage early on giving me aggro of the Ogre. I just run around and let Alistair and the two guards bash it. Once he has lost interest in me I go back to attacking him until he turns on me once again.
It's pretty BS that your save games from DA:O and DA2 won't transfer to DA:I because of console limitations, but it shouldn't be the case with PC.
On the brighter side of things, Bioware remedied this by having Dragon Age Keep, which is nearly a perfect substitute. I could customize my choices that was best suited to my playthroughs in both DA:O, DA:A, and DA2.
I could customize certain choices in DLCs I don't own or haven't completed yet (Mark of the Assassin and Legacy), which is pretty nice.
The only issue I have with the site is that I spared Loghain and convinced my now-wife Anora to spare Alistair in my PC playthrough, but it's impossible to do so in DAK because Alistair will die if Loghain is alive.
Don't you have this option in DAK?

I haven't had a chance to use the Keep beta yet. Can I set up options for DLC I do not own? Cause I do not own all of DA2's.
I could customize Mark of the Assassin (aka. the Felicia Day DLC) choices even though I don't own the DLC.
That is pretty awesome, thank you very much.

The Keep doesn't use any of your saved data. All it pulls is your characters. It works by having a default state where every choice is already assumed and you have to change them manually.

I see, thank you.
I think I read on the Bioware forums that you get to customize Hawke in Inquisition, but I dont remember if it was confirmed.
I'm curious if a Hawke's custom appearance will be imported.
Also, it's a shame that the DA:O/Awakening Warden won't be appearing. I would have loved it if the Inquisitor fought the final boss along with Hawke and the Warden-Commander. It would have been amazing.
As for someone who hasn't been keeping much tabs on Inquisitor (or at all), will you actually be meeting Hawke?
To be honest, I much like Keep over save file transfer. I don't want to have issues with flags again, so having the Keep to correct incorrectly flagged flags is a blessing.
Yeah, I have a good feeling for at least the future of importation with Bioware's games, things like the Keep will ensure bullshit never ever happens again, ever.
Yes.
They revealed it in the trailers.
Since I loosely base all my characters after myself, that would be incredibly hawkward

Bioware confirmed that Hawke is customisable in the game, it's also why the keep asks you what was his personality like
There's a scene in one trailer of default Hawke, Inquisitor and a character in Grey Warden armour who hasn't been seen before.
The Warden?

Apparently there is also a scene with Morrigan [sp]and her supposed daughter[/sp] with a man seen from behind. I don't want to get my hopes up, but ...

[Sp] It's actually a boy[/sp]
12 hrs and 40 mins left until it releases.

[sp]I WILL USE MY CROMOSOMES AS I SEE FIT[/sp]
Cool, there's a benchmark tool in the game. I'm glad my 560 Ti is still doing all right for now
Is the new nvidia driver out? They've said there will be one with a profile for dai to support SLI and to boost performance
I can't wait to play this, looks incredible.
