I guess reading a nice summary will have to suffice.
If anything, if you like the particular motif and context of the sequel, it's worth a shot even if the game as whole isn't ... well ... stellar
Oh yeah, by the way, the most important bit of DA2 that has a role in DA:I is once again a DLC.
Is the Archer class in Inquisition any fun to play? It looks rather great to be honest but I fear that it will get quite repetitive though.
All the classes get fairly repetitive to play, sadly.
Mage in DA:O was the best; tonnes of skills you could use, and you could do things like nuking a room you've not yet entered but expected to contain hostiles.
Don't. Even though it's not nearly as good as Origins or Inquisition for that matter, the plot it has ties directly into Inquisition.
Haha no, DA2 is entirely skippable. I'm saying that as someone who played through it twice.
Haha no, DA2 is entirely skippable. I'm saying that as someone who played through it twice.
It isn't as good as DA:O, but to say that it's entirely skippable would be exaggerating. It has in many ways ties to the inquisition.
Watching the recap on Keep and reading what happened in Legacy is all you need. Even then Legacy is recapped in Inquisition anyways.
Mage in DA:O was the best; tonnes of skills you could use, and you could do things like nuking a room you've not yet entered but expected to contain hostiles.
I really like mages due to their diversity and large selection of spells at disposal. In tactical combat, you really feel like a commander while playing mage. Actually I spend most time having selected Morigan and Wynne during combat.
Smashing. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/eot1uG9.jpg?1[/img_thumb]
I'm picturing Cassandra laughing like that scene is an out-take, you know because you can't see her face.
I'm getting really weird graphical bugs in DAII. A few charactes, especially Elves and guards, are missing their torsos, various parts of their armors, etc. Also, some textures are randomly rainbow-shaded. I think I might have an idea as to what it could be, but just in case, does anyone have any ideas what might be causing the problem? I have Dragon Age 2 Ultimate HD installed, and a few other ones that I don't think would be far-reaching enough to cause such an issue.

Its a DirectX 11 issue, switch to DirectX 9 in the launcher. It'll also eliminate or at least reduce the performance issue I'm sure you're having.
Finished Origins for the first time, pretty much rushed through it in 34 hours. It was really great and I might replay it soon. Upon checking on the keep, I realized that I missed so much in this game. It's ridiculous how much content in this game actually is.
The Keep continues to get wrong the various aspects of my playthroughs. Like, to the point that loading the same playthrough in different worldstates results in different choices each time.
I chose to have a child with Morrigan which spares my life upon killing the Archdemon in Origins, somehow this option is not available in the keep.

Just your Warden/Hawke. You have to manually enter them. Allowing you to change them or fill in ones you never actually did.
I chose to have a child with Morrigan which spares my life upon killing the Archdemon in Origins, somehow this option is not available in the keep.
It is an option. I did it.
I have to say, the soundtrack alone is worth the purchase
The DA:O and DA:2 main theme songs made me cringe, but the DA:I main theme is really good. Good soundtrack all around
I chose to have a child with Morrigan which spares my life upon killing the Archdemon in Origins, somehow this option is not available in the keep.
It is. In the companions section towards the end I think.
my god the AI in this game is horrendous
my god the AI in this game is horrendous
Don't walk into the fire Iron Bull stop!
ok seriously how do I actually get a companion to revive a fallen one their default AI behaviour (aka stand still and look stupid) is overriding my commands
The best way would probably to cap your mage at having a 75% magic pool, and set Revival to being a "preferred" tactic. [editline]14th December 2014[/editline] They might be overriding because they don't have enough magic to cast it in the first place, if they pace themselves with a higher magic threshold then they may be a lot more likely to cast it
I am talking about the revive command, not the spell
So, does anyone play necromancer in single player? Is it any good? If not, I'll go knight enchanter.
I miss shapeshifting, it was always fun to settle the werewolf/elf showdown as a fucking swarm of bee's.
