Is your post processing on the highest setting? When I had it on Ultra the game was like No, you can't do that, dickhead. Cutscenes then showed 1 frame every few seconds and it was a mess. Switching it to High, back to the way it's supposed to be.
Could just be me, though. I've got nothing but performance problems. I did manage to get my framerate back with a driver update, even though the framerate was working on 14.11.2 just fine and decided to fuck up for no reason
I actually have post processing on medium, i found that the value that is more likely to make my game crash while on a cutscene is Mesh Quality, having it on medium so far has been working nice, except for the fact i loose all sorts of great details
I dont even get it , i can run the game with EVERYTHING on ultra while exploring or fighting but as soon i get to a cutscene, the game goes "You aint gonna see shit motherfucker"
Beaten this game three times now, just got my Platinum.
I'm disappointed that there wasn't more customization. That was one of those little things in Awakening that I really enjoyed, outfitting your soldiers in Silverite armor and having them become legends because of it. There would have been so many opportunities to do so too. The Inquisition troop's armor just screams 'Tier-1', and compared to the Ferelden knights or the Venatori armor, it looks awful. It would have been so easy to implement too, just another requisition gathering quest, or a agent recruitment (an armorer or something). But no dice.
Plus the little customization you do get to do is pretty bland. I still have areas of Skyhold that have fucking holes in the roof, but at least I have a thirty square foot glorified animal pen for two soldiers to spar in.
is there a way to copy face data to a new character from an old one like the face codes in mass effect? I made a p great "10/10 it's ok" -IGN face but I want to restart after fixing some technical issues so I can experience the beginning untarnished

There's no way apart from copying the sliders.
well shit, should have saved them
oh well

Ahem. That was fun.

probably something to do with cutscenes being frame capped. try messing with things like v-sync, triple buffering, borderless windowed, and pre-rendered frames and see if any of those help.
cutscene framecap can be lifted with
-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+
as launch parameters
I can't say for sure since my FPS counters stopped working with the game for some reason, but I don't experience the same amount of screen tearing or stutter in cutscenes anymore
Doesn't that fuck up cutscenes in other ways though?

I got a lot of instability in cutscenes when I did that that would make me crash fairly regularly when I'd try to enter a cutscene.
Ok I lost my entire team at [sp]the Broodmother[/sp] because the spells were lagging like fuck.
I really want to like this game but holy shit is it frustrating. Is there a "way too easy" difficulty?

Casual is about as easy as you can get; if that's too frustrating for you then I can't help.
I should probably just give up because this really isn't worth the eventual rage aneurysm.

Yeah I'm done. Origins just drags on and fucking on and it's nothing but nonstop assrape combat. I really can't stand it anymore. How the hell does anyone actually play and enjoy this?
Is there any practical difference between axes and maces in inquisition? Swords seems to attack slower but have greater reach and better lunging ability, but axes and maces both seem to be the same as far as I can tell
wow only after finishing the game i realised there's other mount options. like, a stupid amount of them. so many it makes you wonder why the game doesn't make it more obvious on how to unlock them.
i was wondering why the default horse mount was so useless

Aren't the mounts just a visual change?

I've played Origins on normal difficulty and I was able to complete the game without bumping in hopeless situations, honestly
The only notable moment I decided to set the difficulty to easy was at the very end of the A Paragon of Her Kind quest: the entire mission is one of the longest, most frustrating assignment I've ever recived in a videogame. When [sp]Branka and her golems flunkies[/sp] handled my arse to me for the tenth time or so, I decided I had fucking enough of it all. I resumed the normal difficulty shortly after
The other problems I had were against optional enemies that were specifically made to be challenging (I still remember ... fondly every encounter I had with a revenant, for example)
If you ask me, on normal the difficulty remains fair most of the time save for some huge difficulty spikes here and there. There are also some enemies that are notably far more challenging than the others (mages in general)
Consider however that I was playing a rogue and later an arcane blood mage, so ...

Different mounts have different health and speed. I don't know how drastic the differences are though, I just walk everywhere.

I just finished Origins for the first time over Thanksgiving, and I had a lot of trouble with it to. It was like the game and I were just on different wavelengths. Of course, the first time I tried playing, it was as a Rogue Archer, and that's apparently the weakest thing to play in the game. The second time, I was a Mage who specialized in big area combo spells with Blood Magic and Arcane Warrior. After I got that mojo pumping, almost every fight in the game and DLCs was a joke.

You're setting tactics for you team, yeah? And you have a sensible team composition?
No offense, but there has to be something you're missing if the easiest difficulty option is giving you trouble.

Turn on godmode through the console, I had to do that my first playthrough at a few parts on hard difficulty (Probably shouldnt've chosen that). After getting through the game a few times it became easier.
i really hate looking for the shards in da:i
Then don't :v:
I picked up three and decided to never do it again.

They give some good rewards though.
Man, say what you will about Cole, dude has great taste in headwear.
So, I met Sera the first time. What the fuck is her deal.

She helps you decide which people to hang out with in real life. Avoid those who actually enjoy her.
