Well, this isn't looking like it's going to be very good.

"The writing is supremely confident with only the smallest spattering of fantasy bullshit." [RPS] AKA gotta copy GOT.
The specializations here http://imgur.com/a/7CBLr apparently you can only choose one?
Only two armor slots, head and everything else (this may be from being a mage) http://i.imgur.com/CLtAJM2.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/WmJnR7B.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UCz86kV.jpg (these probably contain very mild spoilers? I dunno. Need more context) [sp]heavy-handed trans politics with no "mean" or "evil" option[/sp]
Also someone pointed out that Morrigan wears the exact same outfit from 10 years ago and ranted about it. http://i.imgur.com/NcV4TB5.png (I cropped it to clip out spoilers)
Somebody complained about this on the Bioware forums, and according to David Gaider it's "iconic".
Bioware has this creepy obession with cosplayers. Enough that they hired one to voice Josephine in their game, despite no prior voice acting roles, and they hired another one as a community manager. Basically they're being lazy and reusing models and shit because it's easier for cosplayers to cosplay them and in return give Bioware free advertising.
Some other person also pointed out that she has smaller breasts or something?
Also, patently bad romance dialogues (not embedded in case you dont want these spoiled for you)

Of course I got this all from a thread on 4chan so the stuff that isn't direct game media may be suspect etc etc but I don't think too much of this is outright lies.
Bonus round, Hepler was majorly involved with this game.

The "only two armour pieces" thing is bullshit BTW. To make it easier to use a controller the head and armour are listed on either side of the character, and if you go down in the menu it shows the gloves and boots.
Take anything you read on /v/ with a big pile of salt.
I've watched gameplay where the full equipment was displayed as:
Head - Torso
Gloves - Boots
Ring - Belt

My fucking automerge!
Unfortunate news
If I discover that I'm playing Origins again, but moreso I'm just going to PLAY Dragon Age II, for nothing, I'm going to exercise blood magic. To kill myself.
I hope I didn't just waste 40$ buying this ._. I am a big Dragon Age fan, but I didn't like DA2 all too much (I did finish it tho). Reviews for this one seem good enough but there is some criticism coming out now I see?
Anyone here with an HD7850, Phenom 955 and 4GB of RAM getting the game mind posting how it runs?

One thing which is certain is that Inquisition is getting basically the same critical score Dragon Age II got
What's taking TB so long to get a video out. I know he received a copy over a week ago
Just wait until people who took the leap give their impressions. Makes me glad the game doesn't come out until Friday here. It also gives me time to play through the first two games.
Speaking of which. Anyone have recommended mods for either game?

What a load of mindless bashing. That which isn't true, is opinion if it's negative or not. A lot of it doesn't matter anyway.
The point is everybody is enjoying the game, not just the so called "corrupt gaming media" but real papers like The Guardian praise it's writing and gameplay. Fans and independent critics all loading it with praise. Of course like everything in the world some will like and some will dislike, but it seems to be quality. Cheesy dialogue is really just a thing I expect in Dragon Age. As if Origins wasn't.
Also the Morrigan outfit comments... to be fair it is iconic. I like to see her in it again. I caught a glimpse of it from behind in one of the early trailers. But as if it would be the same model. Everything else about her is built from the ground up. I doubt they'd ever get away with using that model in the new engine, it'd look hideous. They probably remade it from the ground up. You can't bash them for "using the same model" and then complain it's not the same model because the breasts are smaller in the next line.
Nevermind, he said he was waiting for nVidia drivers
Automerge. referring to TB.
I just remembered this game has Origin Game Guarantee or whatever, basically you can ask for a refund within 7 days of game launch. So it's good I guess, if I don't like it I can just take a refund.

Since, you know, she's supposed to be the advisor of the empress of Orlais now
Of course, maybe she drops the clothes at some point in the game: in that case, sorry for the misleading
Also, the only instance I saw Morrigan in her original outfit is in a supposed scene with [sp]her son[/sp]. So it could be a flashback or something and not be her default attire in the game

Yes she is supposed to be the advisor. And there she is in her advisor costume. The scene with [sp]Morrigans son likely isn't a flashback. His age makes sense for the placement of Inquisition[/sp]
But we knew she ends up joining the Inquisition so the adviser thing isn't permanent. Morrigan wearing the same outfit years later is no different than Gandalf wearing his 17 years. Merlyn keeping his on for decades. Or The Doctor keeping his on for about 1000 years. Fantasy characters have iconic costumes. Morrigan is one of them.
Morrigan also probably wore that for most of her teenage life before being sent off with the Wardens. She was also wearing it when she stepped out of the Eluvian which wasn't very long before Inquisition takes place.
why does morrigan look like a thinman from Xcom
I'm playing right now and to be honest, I am surprised by how not shit it is.

Actually it's 7 days after you've bought it or 48 hours after you've launched the game for the first time

24 hours after you first launch it not 48.
24 hours after you first launch it not 48.
Really? I remember reading the FAQ saying 2 days

Except the 30 fps lock on cutscenes is annoying as hell at first. But it... just kinda doesn't bother me anymore. The game is too good.
30 FPS in cutscenes doesn't bother me. a 30 FPS lock during gameplay would infuriate me, though

Yeah, the framerate during gameplay is unlocked. And it runs pretty good. Controls are a bit awkward at first, but you get used to it. There are some technical hiccups here and there, but Nvidia hasn't released a new driver so far, so I guess it will get better.
Glad to hear the game is shaping up well by people playing the game who AREN'T reviewers. Looking forward to playing.

What video card and amount of RAM do you have?
What video card and amount of RAM do you have?
GTX 780 SLI with 3 GB VRAM / System RAM: 8 GB
But any high-end card shouldn't have any problems at running 60 fps. Frostbite 3 is pretty optimized.

Ah. Dicks.
HD7850 with 1GB, and 4GB RAM. The HD series of cards are really good, but I don't think it's going to be good enough this time. It's not much worse than your card but you have two. Then again Battlefield 4 does run perfectly, so I don't know
Is it superior to Origins?
24 hours after you first launch it not 48.
Well shit. Also I could've sworn it was 48 hours after, not 24.
