Dragon Age Inquisition Megathread: Bioware's Last Chance Edition

Some armor customization Protips:
use silverite for heavy armor and snoufleur leather for medium armor to make them unrelated to class. You can totally deck out all your mages and rogues in heavy armor if you grind out silverite in, say, emprise de lion.
Adding gauntlets and boots to your armor changes what it looks like.
Every armor tier has 3 sets per armor rank, usually mail, coat and normal. So, a mage has 3 customization options at tier 1, 3 at tier 2 and another 3 at tier 3, or 9 in total (disregarding the silverite/snoufleur method above and gauntlets/boots). On top of that are unique armor sets like Dalish, templar, Warden, Orlesian battlemage and so on, which might only exist in certain tiers or might not allow you to add your own gauntlets and stuff, depending on the type.
Some armors or their schematics can't be bought and you will have to find them via random drops. It sucks but that's how it is. I know that, say, Warden helmet schematics are drop only.
So while yes it does get better on, the tier 3 version of a mage's coat armor will just look like a heavier version of the tier 1 coat armor with minor adjustments. Personally I don't mind because I like the inquisitor's style, but if you want more diverse armor you can always farm Snoufleur leather in Emprise de Lion, on the frozen lake to the right of your initial camp. That way you can craft yourself some medium armor for your mages.
*armor info*
Few additional notes:
There are tiers of armor schematics with specific name:
*class*
tier 1
tier 2
tier 3
Mage:
Apprentice
Enchanter
Battlemage
Rogue:
Scout
Hunter
Prowler
Warrior:
Defender
Vanguard
Battlemaster
Then you have 3 armor models that are very similar between classes: Armor, Coat (has a trenchcoat), Mail (looks pretty heavy).
The best schematics you can get are Sturdy or even better Superior "class tier 3" Armor/Coat/Mail.
Unfortunately, only the Sturdy *class tier 3* Armor schematics are purchasable in Hissing Wastes. The rest you need to be lucky or grind chests.
When it comes to arms/legs once you find Battlemage/Battlemaster/Prowler Coat/Mail/Armor Arms/Legs you found the best.
Last note, in promo pictures the Coat schematics are shown on a mage, Armor on a rogue and Mail on a soldier.
Oh wow, Leliana just sliced [sp]Marjolaine[/sp]'s head clean off. :v: Quite karmic.

How's this game look on the PS4? I wanted to get it for the 360, but the graphics seemed rather downgraded compared to the other versions.
Looks great!
Honestly the PC version is a bit of a trap in the sense that everything will look OMGBBQWTF nice in gameplay, but the characters will still look/animate ugly (for the most part) and do so at 30FPS in conversations. Kind of a big disconnect. At least on console everything runs pretty consistent and it still looks really damn nice.

Did you choose mexico as your country?

I'm playing with the 60fps cutscene fix and it looks much better

I have to agree. Bioware needs to improve their animations and it was this way for too long. Gameplay is alright, some stylized animations here and there but the cutscenes look off.

? Looks awful to me judging by YT videos. The scenery runs at 60FPS while the characters animate all choppy at 30FPS
Honestly would be way better to keep character dialog locked to 30 IMO
I fell in love with the dragon age series and rushed the two games with hard on, then i got to this inquisition. There is tooooo fucking much things to do at the same time. How do i fucking know where to go? My hard on has turned to semihard on because i keep runnning to places just to find out op enemies and sometimes i feel like im playing Mmorpg alone. Also i regret making ugly ass qunari mage.

Use this command on the game's properties: -GameTime.MaxVariableFPS 30
holy shit sera annoys me every single time i go to recruit her
she's so "lul randumb"

I bloody hate that they reduced the violence in the DA sequels. DA2 had no decpitation or limb removal iirc and DA:I has none either. I miss the killmoves, like decapitating darkspawn or the noble prick in the city elf intro. I get that they did it to cater to the age approval in countries but I still miss it. It made the game much more dark.

xDDD I stole their pants, HI-FRICKING-LARIOUS, RIGHT? Right? nobody?
i think da:i is arguably more violent
in different ways though
temple of sacred ashes looks like hiroshima
I like having Sera with Blackwall because he constantly blows her the fuck out
I like having a save that told Sera to fuck off. My Elven rogue my waifu for that.
qunari mage.
I imagine Qunari would be much better at punching things to death anyways.

Yeah I watched a short video or two of her and I already want an option to stab her in the gut. I haven't even played Inquisition yet.

Anyone else want to see the Warden in person again [sp]a la Hawke[/sp] in an Inquisition expansion (or even a future game)? I think that would be really neat.

Thanks. Can't wait to get it!

Holy fuck I just had goosebumps lasting for minutes after the [sp]"The Dawn Will Come"[/sp] part.

Right now Origin is the cheapest I can find due to the -33% deal.
So I've finally completed Origins. So now begins the adventures of James Trevelyan. I imagine this is what I would look like in 5 years.

Wish there was a segment where [sp] The inquisitor interacts with the Warden from DA: Origins. Too bad there doesn't see to be a way for that to happen.[/sp] My only gripe is that The Keep won't import my custom Grey Warden appearance. The removal of said import has made my spoiler moot. Then again I still have a damn baby face at age 20, so I'm kind of glad my old Warden from years ago won't appear in-game.

the reveal of skyfold was completely ruined by the worst and most cheesiest scene in any bioware game
i thought the game was trying to make a joke when they started singing but they actually went for some cheesy "we're all in this together" type scene and it ended up being super embarrassing.
"Down the ladder, thats the way to the temple."
"Ehh, fuck you, I can make this jump."
Who needs legs.
[editline]3rd January 2015[/editline]
Seriously though, Inquisition is amazing already for one simple reason: I can jump. The ability to jump is something I absolutely adore in games, and not having it in some games can be a notable detriment, and having it in others can be a seriously benefit. Its the freedom and mobility that jumping provides that gets me.
Alrighty, just finished Origins for the second time (including Awakening, Amgarrak and Witch Hunt). Was a hell of a lot more thorough this time, did almost all of the quests/DLC I could find or receive, romanced Leliana and reached the level cap. Uh, not in that order.
Gonna play through DA2 again for some reason. Mostly to see if my thoroughness affected anything in that game cameo/reference-wise. Then hopefully I'll be getting Inquisition soon, so I can play that after I'm done.
Final appearance of my Hero of Ferelden, Kayleigh Cousland, for shits and giggles:

Aaaaand it's beaten. One of the best (and most massive) RPGs in years. I haven't had a 3-day single-gaming marathon like that for quite some time. I think that speaks for itself.
This though...

I'm not kidding when I say half the time I've put in to the game thus far has been just literally hopping around the hinterlands. Mass Effect 4 better let me jump around large open areas.

The Dawn Will Come just had me cringing with how stupid it was.
Great game but there are a lot of little things niggling at me. Like how so many faces repeat, or how I actually feel pain whenever I see a glowing skull in the game.
So apparently the game pits a protagonist whom everyone believe to be Jesus Christ against an atheist sorcerer who is angry because God doesn't exist
Perfect
Also, I'm navigating the Hinterlands for the first time. I have to say, the fetch quests approach is extremely annoying
