Playing as a knight enchanter is definitely worth it though although it will trivialize the entire game
I feel like people give it too much credit for that though. Playing a dagger rouge or shield-warrior will also trivialize the game by the same standards. Each class has a lot of really overpowered advantages if you use them correctly that can basically make you un-killable. One unusually OP advantage KE has though is that you'll cut through guard and barrier like butter with your magic sword. Those normally overwhelming guard/barrier bonuses that despair demons and dragons cast will just be like a sheet of paper between you and them.
I think Enchanter takes the cake when combined with the support and ice trees. The max bonuses you can get to your barrier and mana regen are insane, and you can get a free barrier replacement every time you get hit with what would have been a killing blow, and you can get blink and the phase out move to completely avoid getting hit by big attacks anyways... there's just soooo much you can combo that makes it OP as hell. I even had a glitch on the second to last campaign mission where all my companions just froze and would not follow me (wasn't a hold position command or anything like that) but I just kept going through the level solo and did just fine lol. The thing that separates the KE from the other OP classes is that as a KE you will never take damage again, there's virtually no risk of dying ever.
Yeah, I normally always prefer to play rogues over all else, nothing else. But after grabbing Vivienne and playing with her as a Knight-Enchanter, I kinda want to roll one now.
Kinda sucks I can't have my cool helmet show up during non-combat cutscenes.
I'm starting to find Cassandra's disgusted noises oddly arousing
I think mages are actually useful. Because there are no healing spells the barrier is good at saving your companions. Plus barrier removes fall damage.
I'm starting to find Cassandra's disgusted noises oddly arousing
I find them funny, in that the game even subtitles them as [Disgusted noise] or [Disgusted Grunt]. I'm finding it difficult to romance her though. Apparently calling myself an idiot or being faithful to the Crazy Church People are the things that set it off on the right track. Don't know how long I can keep that up before I make my hearty, quirky, battle-hardened Inquisitor go OOC. Finding agents is also some trouble unless I looked up a guide or something. I did manage to get Vivienne to join the party somehow after losing Haven even though by that point the guides say that I would lose my chance. Anyway to make her really good in talents and such?
I'm stuck between choosing Rift Mage or Knight Enchanter, and I've read A LOT on other people's opinions. pros and cons based on what I want: KE PRO: - Can handle both ranged and melee, switching between in-your-face CQC and ranged artillery - Higher survivability. - Like the concept of the spec - Love the fucking sword and regenerative barrier thing (in theory). KE CONS: - Don't want to remove all challenge from the game. With regenerative barrier you basically cannot die, without I'm too squishy to occasionally melee, thus defeating the purpose of the spec. - Don't want to be a one trick pony. - Less mana, thus less spells to use. - Afraid it will get boring as the spec doesn't really flesh out the class as well as Rift Mage. RM PROS: - Unlimited mana - More CC and AoE - Really fleshes out the class RM CONS: - Still squishy. If someone targets me specifically I can't do much except run away. - Less versatile than KE in terms of being able to handle both ranged and melee What do?
Quick question: Does Leliana has a personal quest or whatever its called? I get the feeling she doesn't like talking to me. I refuse to have her as a not friend. EVERYBODY MUST LOVE ME! Well, except Vivienne. Fuck her.
I'm stuck between choosing Rift Mage or Knight Enchanter What do?
Go RM on first Playthrough, KE on second for a cheese fest.

This time around I will go Rift Mage and use Vivienne to kill dragons. Also best trainer, Your Trainer. I think you get it after Abyss and Wicked Hearts. Spoilers, outcome of the quest will be decided by your previous interactions with her.
This evening I met Blackwall I nearly sent him on his way because there is this non written rule in my organization about no one having a more impressive beard than the current inquisitor

Mr Awesome Face deserves that.
Woooooooooooooooooooooo I have Inquisition now. It's downloading. Hype [editline]asdf[/editline] Guess I'll be getting around to it tomorrow. Or next week. Or never. Because the download is so ridiculously massive the estimated time is roughly 10 hours. [editline]asdfp[/editline] 21 hours. This had better be worth it :v:
So I just got to the Royal Wing in Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts and ohh my fucking god I lost it when you save that elf. [sp]I expecting like an actual fight or a struggle or something. Nope, you just kick the bastard out the window.[/sp]
I'm starting to find Cassandra's disgusted noises oddly arousing
Only just starting to?
Could it be that Sera suffers from the Tourette syndrome?
Only just starting to?
One feature of her at a time
Ohh god, I made a dagger with one of the masterwork materials that builds guard on hit. Good fuck am I tanky now. As a Dagger Rogue, getting the Hook and Tackle with Upgrade is so great. No one escapes. To the point that I can exploit it to hook dragons in flight. I pulled myself up to the pedestal the Hinterlands Dragon will go to and just started wailing on him, he actually got glitched and kept trying to back up off it but couldn't, so I got tons of free damage on him. He's at half health and we've not had to burn a potion.
Is there any way to make Origin download games faster or am I going to be stuck waiting the rest of my life for this slow-ass piece of shit to get on my goddamn computer already?

It boosted my speed from about 250-500kb/s to my standard 2mb/s. Here is how.

[editline]asdf[/editline] My download speeds are definitely capable of going much higher than they are, but when it occasionally gets up to 700-900 kb/s it just decreases back to its typical dirt-slow-ness.
Why are all the current female romance options so ugly Who are the character designers? Are they some kind of eunuch or something Forgive the rudeness, but I must get this out of my chest

I hadn't even noticed! Thanks for opening my eyes! [sp]I'm sorry what[/sp]
just finished the game and I am a little disappointed it feels like there's too many boring side missions while the main quest is way too short there's so many environments made specifically for these boring side missions too, feels like a waste to not incorporate them into the main story somehow ah well, still better than DA2
For what Casandra does for a living realistically she's far too pretty I highly doubt a Templar who basically kills shit for a living with a sword and shield would look anything short of a burly female rugby player If your expectations are even higher than what she already looks like, that's astounding

I mean, I can understand not liking Sera for her atrocious personality and her weird face, but Cassandra ugly? What the hell do you find attractive, hakimhakim?
Cassandra can go from looking intimidating to looking really cute, really quickly, she's evil for that.
romance options for female characters are actually shit
