I got the bug where Dorian's companion quests never triggered. I changed my party for every mission depending on who had the best personal connection to the story. So for Grey Wardens I took [sp]Blackwall (he's a warden), Cole (he want to Adamant in the book), Varric (he's Hawke's bro) and Solas (because he knows a lot about the fade and they were summoning demons)[/sp]
You brought four people? Did you stay home? [sp]Although Cole and Solas are obviously the best choices for the sequence that immediately follows Adamant. And Blackwall being along becomes hilarious later.[/sp] [editline]8th February 2015[/editline] I mean, I want to send just my minions to go do stuff. I'm the Inquisitor, goddammit!
Technically you're still in the prologue
Haha, at that point I already played 26 hours.
I changed my party for every mission depending on who had the best personal connection to the story.
Eh, the main problem with that would be gear management
Blackwall is a tank. His Champion specialization let's him practically live through a fight without a problem. I'm using cassandra, blackwall & Dorian. Dorian deals massive damage over time + he shields all of us in the frontline. Cassandra just keeps the magic away from all of the team. Blackwall just can't die. I'm a melee rogue and watching invisible how my team murders everything. And sometimes i killsteal the last guy with hidden blades. :v:
[editline]8th February 2015[/editline] I mean, I want to send just my minions to go do stuff. I'm the Inquisitor, goddammit!
One of the most dissapointing things in the entire game was when I was waiting the first 40 hours hoping I could someday send out people on the war map to gather crafting materials so I didn't have to bother hopping all over the place. Turns out it actually can be done, takes half an hour to gather 6 ores which is the equivalent of a single gathering point, and it is just totally useless. Like seriously the Inquisition is one of the biggest powers in Thedas how hard can it be to supply the leader with plenty of ore, without forcing him to gather it himself.
I hate how everything except the main storyline feels like they programmed it in 1 afternoon each. [sp]for example the storyline of Cassandra who wants to find what happened with the Seekers. Just 1 War Table Operation and one visit to a castle and boom, there is Lucius. And for god sake, he is way too easy to kill for THE "Lord Seeker".[/sp]
Cassandra for best Romance.
Something that makes me a bit annoyed about Cassandra is that, apparently, her Seeker training gave her the ability to set the lyrium inside a person's veins ON FIRE. This is never brought up again both in conversations and in gameplay
Eh, the main problem with that would be gear management
Whoever I'm with gets the best. Race restrictions kill most the sharing anyway. I feel like I got more out of the characters. I wouldn't have liked Sera otherwise. Viv had likeable qualities by the end but I just found her so up her own arse and rude to everybody I couldn't stand it.
So if Dragon Age IV heads to Tevinter, does anyone else think you might head there as part of The Inquisition? Not the Inquisitor, but with The Inquisition existing as the most powerful force in Thedas by the end of DA:I, maybe you'll be there as some sort of scouting force? That way you can reuse many of the DA:I mechanics (War Table, advisors etc.) except in different regions. Plus I suspect Dorian will be the 'returning companion' for the next instalment (similar to Varric/Anders/Oghren).
so I just got to [sp]skyhold[/sp], am I still very early in the story or should I start grinding fetch quests?
You're probably 1/3rd through.
Not that it wasnt obvious already, but its been confirmed that the first DLC for inquisiton is in the works. source
Fuck yeah! Really need more of this universe.
Well, I finished yet another double DAO-DA2 playthrough. Made a Mage hero for the first time. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/52116717/screenshots%20and%20images/dragonage/DA2/hawke.jpg[/t] Now I'd really really like to start playing Inquisition but my computer is still a piece of shit. :c
Is there any point to the multiplayer experience beside the mere enjoyment of it? Thing is, I've already capped two characters and the maps do start appearing repetitive That and the less I see of the Demon Commander the better EDIT Apparently your multiplayer characters do make an appearence in the main game in your hold: this morning I spotted the Keeper with the equip I gave her walking about the garden

I wonder if hoping they'll improve the game's performance is too much to ask for. [editline]asdf[/editline] Maybe Kirkwall will make a minor appearance? Hmm.
Autoattack hnnnggg...
If the fix for FemHawke is in that patch, then I cannot wait.
What's wrong with FemHawke?
Oh fucking PC users only, god damn it.
What's wrong with FemHawke?
IIRC default femhawke looks nothing like default femhawke Unless there's a more serious situation I wasn't aware of

That's a fuckin' crime. [editline]14th February 2015[/editline] Oh Jesus, they screwed up both genders.

Well, I managed to get to the first closeable rift in Inquisition before it crashed this time. The game just silently closed altogether while I was at the attributes screen. Sigh. [editline]asdfp[/editline] At least being a mage still seems fun enough to make the crashing tolerable. Made a female Dalish with a default name. I'll just try and save as often as I can. [editline]asdf[/editline] The game just crashed at the end of the fight with the Pride Demon. Is it really worth trying to play the game like this, or should I wait a few years to upgrade my computer? This is really goddamn frustrating.
In my case the crashes occured because my GPU couldn't handle the stress: I had to bring down some options a little and disable one or two advanced effects If your crashes persist, yes, there is a problem with your hardware and I'd suggest to wait for a more powerful rig

I'm running on the lowest settings at 1024x768 and 45% resolution, so yeah, upgrade time. [editline]asdf[/editline] I'm addicted to Dragon Age to the extent that if I try to play something else I lose interest in under 5 minutes and give up. What do I do? This can't be healthy. I've never had a story parasitically latch itself onto my brain so thoroughly :v:
Last time I played I made the shocking discovery that Antiva really is an expy of medieval-renaissence Italy I was simply baffled My faith in Cassandra stumbled, but didn't fall

Luckily i survived, i have a family to take care of after all
